Welcome to the Vulkaneifel! Enjoy your stay in our modern holiday apartment in the heart of the Eifel, the land of maars and volcanoes. Located in Bettenfeld, between Daun and Wittlich in the Manderscheid holiday region, you will experience untouched nature and find peace away from the busy everyday life. The apartment offers a unique panoramic view and is situated on the edge of the village, between the Meerfelder Maar and the Mosenberg with the only crater lake north of the Alps.



Hiking, cycling, and mountain biking trails such as the Lieserpfad, Eifelsteig, Kosmosradweg, Maare-Mosel-Radweg, and VulkanBike Trailpark are nearby and offer many opportunities for outdoor activities. The area is ideal for wildlife observation (red deer, roe deer, foxes, kites, and many bird species). Nature reserves like Reihenkrater Mosenberg, Horngraben, and Meerfelder Maar are close by.



Attractions in the area include the Windsborn crater lake at Mosenberg (1.5 km), Meerfelder Maar (2 km), Manderscheid castles (5 km), Himmerod Abbey, the "Wallende Born," Pulvermaar, Dauner Maare, the Roman city of Trier, the Moselle, and Nürburgring adventure world.



The apartment features a very quiet terrace with panoramic views, a separate entrance, and a parking space in front of the house. There is also a place to store bicycles. In the village, you will find a restaurant that also serves pizza. Goats graze the adjacent hillside; don’t worry, as they are neutered males, there is no unpleasant smell.



A guest fee is charged per day and guest and is paid to the local municipality.
