D'Müh - Alpine-style apartment in a peaceful setting in the Lungau region

Our holiday apartment is located in a historic grain mill dating back to the 1930s, which remained in operation until 1974. It was here that the host’s grandfather, known as “Müller Sepp” (Miller Sepp), used several traditional millstones to produce different types of flour – a wonderful piece of our family’s living history.

The former mill area has been lovingly renovated in a charming Alpine style, preserving the authentic character and history of the building while combining it with modern comfort.

Since February 2026, we have been delighted to open the doors of this special place to our guests. The apartment offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, high-quality furnishings and everything you need for a relaxing getaway. It comfortably accommodates up to four people and, upon request, can host two additional guests – making it ideal for families, couples or friends looking for somewhere truly special.

Surrounded by nature, the apartment is a wonderful retreat for anyone seeking peace and relaxation, as well as for nature lovers. It is the perfect place to slow down, go hiking, reconnect with nature and experience the beautiful Lungau region at your own pace.

About Us as Your Hosts

As your hosts, we are delighted to share our special holiday apartment with guests from all over the world. The old mill has been in our family for generations and is a place very close to our hearts.

Through its careful and loving renovation, we wanted to preserve the history and character of this unique place while creating a welcoming home where our guests can feel completely comfortable and at ease.

We place great importance on personal hospitality, cleanliness and creating a warm and pleasant atmosphere. As a great deal of time, dedication and passion has gone into designing and restoring the apartment, we kindly ask our guests to treat this special place with care and respect.

Location & Surroundings

D’Müh is situated in a peaceful location on Mühlweg in St. Michael im Lungau, surrounded by nature and the impressive Alpine landscape.

Away from busy through traffic, guests can enjoy plenty of peace, quiet and privacy – ideal for switching off from everyday life and truly relaxing.

The apartment is located directly on the Murradweg (Mur Cycle Path), making it an excellent starting point for walks, cycling tours, hikes and outdoor adventures. During the summer months, the surrounding mountains of the Lungau region offer countless hiking and cycling trails, traditional Alpine pastures and beautiful viewpoints waiting to be discovered.

In winter, the ski areas of Katschberg, Großeck-Speiereck and Fanningberg can all be reached within just a few minutes by car. Ice-skating rinks, cross-country skiing trails, winter hiking paths and toboggan runs are also located nearby.

The centre of St. Michael im Lungau, with its restaurants, cafés, shops and everyday amenities, is within easy reach.

Thanks to its central location in the Lungau region, D’Müh is also an ideal base for day trips and excursions throughout the Salzburg region and the neighbouring Austrian provinces.
