Welcome to Chalet Berna 1924!

Experience Swiss tradition combined with modern comfort in the newly renovated “Clair du Lac” apartment. You’ll have a separate entrance and a convenient luggage hallway at your disposal. Enjoy direct access to the large garden: From the vast lawn, your view sweeps unobstructed across the lake and the mountain panorama.
Perfectly located in Hilterfingen—the lake, boat service, bus to Thun/Interlaken, and Hünegg Castle are just a few minutes’ walk away!

The Accommodation – Floor Plan Overview:

Entrance & Amenities:
Separate side entrance with a long hallway—ideal for jackets, shoes, and suitcases. Next to it, you’ll also find a washing machine and dryer.

Kitchen & Dining:
A cosy, fully equipped kitchen with an inviting dining area awaits you as you enter the apartment. A starter kit of coffee (Dolce Gusto) and an assortment of tea bags are provided for you.

Bathroom:
To the right of the kitchen is the newly renovated, modern bathroom with a bathtub for relaxing.

Living Room:
To the left of the kitchen is the cosy living room. The new, high-quality sleeper sofa is also queen-size and, at 140 cm wide, is almost identical to the bed in the bedroom. Our smart TV comes with Netflix pre-installed. Since it’s a smart TV, guests can also use all other features and streaming services with their own accounts.

Bedroom:
A separate room with comfortable queen-size beds that are 140 cm wide and direct access to the outdoor area.

Garden & Terrace:
Enjoy the patio with outdoor furniture, umbrellas, and lounge chairs, and the view over the garden and the large lawn.

You can enter the chalet independently through the separate side entrance or use the exclusive access via the terrace. Check-in is flexible and hassle-free.

Outdoor area:
The large terrace and the spacious garden area are available for your relaxation and enjoyment.

Parking:
A reserved, free parking space is located directly on the property.

Laundry & Welcome:
A washing machine and dryer are available in the entryway (use for a fee; see below). To help you get off to a relaxing start, we’ve provided a handy starter kit.

Location & Surroundings Right Outside Your Door:
Chalet Berna 1924 is located in the idyllic town of Hilterfingen. From here, you can reach the lakeshore, the boat dock, the bus stop, and numerous swimming spots, as well as local shopping options, in just a few minutes’ walk. The forest begins practically right behind the chalet. The historic city of Thun, charming Interlaken, and countless hiking trails and excursion destinations in the region are right on your doorstep. We’ve already prepared plenty of brochures and personalised excursion tips for you right here at the chalet!

Note:
The visitor’s tax for the municipality of Hilterfingen is required by law. It is billed separately and enables us to issue this card to you.

For a harmonious stay in this historic chalet:

Fire safety (strictly prohibited):
Since this is a 100-year-old, historic wooden house, smoking, candles, and any kind of open fire or flames are strictly prohibited in all indoor areas. Please use only the terrace for smoking.

Pets & Parties:
To preserve the character and structural integrity of our wooden chalet, pets, parties, and unannounced guests are not permitted.

Additional Services & Fees:
Fresh bed linens (beds made) and towels are provided for each guest upon arrival and are included for the duration of the stay (up to 1 week). For long-term stays, we are happy to provide free replacement linens after one week for you to change yourself.
Please note that the use of the washing machine/dryer, extra bath, beach, or hand towels, as well as an early change of bed linens within the first 7 days, are not included in the base price.

Prices for extras:

Washing machine & dryer: CHF 7.– per load (includes 1 wash & 1 dry).

Additional set of bath towels (1 shower towel, approx. 100x150 cm, and 1 hand towel, 50x100 cm) or change before the end of the 7-day period: CHF 7.–.

Additional beach towel (approx. 100x150 cm) or replacement before the end of 7 days: CHF 5.–.

Additional set of bed linens (if changed before 7 days have elapsed): CHF 25.– (to change yourself).

These extras are billed based on usage and can be easily paid for in cash on-site.
