Häxans Hus is a holiday home in Dalarna, beautifully secluded on a hill in the forest near Fredriksberg. Surrounded by lakes, deep forests and gentle hills, the house offers plenty of peace and a wonderful view of Lake Lisjön in the valley. With a little luck, you may even spot wildlife directly from the house.

With approximately 75 m² of living space, Häxans Hus accommodates up to four guests and is particularly suitable for couples, friends or small families looking for a peaceful break surrounded by Swedish nature. The bedroom features a double bed measuring 180 × 200 cm, while the comfortable sofa bed in the living room provides two additional sleeping places at 140 × 200 cm.

The cosy living area is perfect for relaxing after a day outdoors. The Smart TV allows you to use your own streaming accounts such as Netflix or Amazon Prime, and a PlayStation 4 is also available. Wi-Fi is provided throughout the house.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. The water comes from the property’s own deep well and, according to the latest test in 2026, is of excellent drinking-water quality.

Outside, nature takes centre stage. The garden offers seating, a barbecue and a fire pit – perfect for long summer evenings under the open sky. Thanks to the secluded setting, you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding forest.

The area offers plenty of opportunities for an active holiday. Nearby is the Svartälven canoe route, with more than 120 kilometres of connected waterways. The surrounding region also offers numerous lakes for swimming, some with sandy beaches, as well as excellent opportunities for fishing, hiking and paddling. The Simonsberget viewpoint is only around 1.7 kilometres away.

Another highlight is the nearby Säfsen Resort. During summer, the area offers mountain-bike trails, a climbing park, disc golf, mini golf, canoe rental, fishing and many other outdoor activities. In winter, Säfsen becomes a popular ski resort with slopes and a wide range of winter activities. This makes Häxans Hus an attractive holiday home throughout the year.

Fredriksberg is approximately 15 minutes away and offers a supermarket, bakery, pizzeria, Thai restaurant, cheese and delicatessen shop, second-hand shop and petrol station.

Several additional services can be arranged for an extra charge, including a laundry service with collection, drying and return, a stocked fridge on arrival, a Lovers Dinner and a “Ride and Paddle” experience with SUPs on the Svartälven route.

Up to three dogs are welcome for an additional fee. Electricity, final cleaning, bed linen and towels are included. Guests who would like to wash or dry clothes during their stay can use the available laundry service for an additional charge.
