Coronado Cottage

We had a wonderful stay in Coronado! Connie was excellent to work with! The location was so convenient to everything. We especially enjoyed the back outside area as it was windy and cool when we were there. It was nice to sit back there during the day and enjoy the sunshine with its wonderful wind break. We would definitely stay there again!

Super beachy and very bright!

This cute little bungalow was just the perfect mix of beach casual and upscale finishes. We could walk to anywhere within minutes. We loved the proximity to some of the best restaurants as well as the San Diego ferry landing. We enjoyed taking the ferry to catch a Padres game and explore Seaport Village. Connie's artwork of Coronado scenes gave the place a warm and delightful feel. We especially loved having morning coffee on the private outside deck! Connie and Frank were so great to work with too...we will definitely be back!

Convenient and Clean, Dog-friendly

Small two room rental with enclosed outdoor deck. Bathroom was clean and functional, adequate closet room, bright, sunny, clean bedroom with Queen Murphy bed and two-seater sofa. TV and internet were not totally reliable, but host was quick to help out. Very dog-friendly neighborhood, within easy walk to stores and restaurants and ferry to San Diego. Kitchen was very minimal. Parking on the street was never a problem. Very amiable hosts.

Great place with a great host!

We came to Coronado for a family visit. They lived close by so we could walk to and from their home which really made this place work especially well for us.

Quaint and great location

Connie is a terrific owner. This is a small place but it took care all of my needs. It has a great patio, close to ferry landing, restaurants and grocery stores. I loved walking the pup each morning on the harbor walk.

Cozy get away.

I stayed at this little bungalow for a month while visiting my son, daughter in law and 2 grandkids who live around the corner. It was quite small but clean and comfortable. It is very close to two grocery stores, the ferry landing and a number of great restaurants. I did not have a car while here but Coronado is so beautiful I enjoyed walking everywhere.

Best location!

We enjoyed staying in this quirky little place! It is basically a 2 story single converted garage. The first floor is a kitchenette and laundry with a small table and chairs and the 2nd story is a bedroom, bath with small loveseat. It is on a busy street with lots of traffic noise so if you’re a light sleeper it’s not for you. We stayed for a month while our house was being renovated. If you like to cook this won’t work well because the hot plate, microwave and toaster oven all plug into a power strip. It shuts off if you’re using more than one appliance at a time. We moved the hotplate to the table and plugged in there while running the toaster oven. It’s not great, but manageable.I gave it 3 stars on cleanliness cause under the sink when something rolls in there was pretty gross and there was some trash in the kitchen. For the price and location though it’s really great. The location is great just a couple blocks from the Ferry Landing and walkable to lots of restaurants so, hey, why cook at all! If we hadn’t stayed so long we probably wouldn’t have cooked. We really enjoyed walking our dog in the evenings. The neighborhood feels very safe and friendly. The parking is on street, but it wasn’t a problem. We always found something on our street. It was a bit cool so we didn’t use the deck in the back, but it’s nice and big. If you don’t mind the quirks it’s a great place to stay.

Amazing stay on Coronado!

We had an amazing stay at Connie’s guest house! We had great communication from Connie throughout our whole trip. The location is great — near a ton of restaurants and very close to two grocery stores (we loved Boney’s!). A short walk to the bay front and the beautiful walking path that goes on for miles along the water. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals at home and we loved the big grill and patio area. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom is well appointed. Loved that beach chairs were included! The commute to NASNI can’t be beat. Easy to find street parking. Definitely recommend!

Coronado Guest House

5 stars are not enough to adequately reflect the wonderful month we spent on Coronado in this rental. The guest house was in an excellent location which allowed us to walk just about everywhere we went. Restaurants within walking distance, grocery store a block away, ferry landing two blocks away! The only time we needed our car was getting to some beautiful golf courses! The kitchen had everything we needed, the TV had every channel imaginable which is rare for a rental and the bed was very comfortable. The outside deck with umbrellas, table and chairs and gas grill was an awesome treat!! This is a perfect spot for two people. Our little dog loved walking the lovely neighborhood. Our communication with the owner Connie Spitzer, was smooth and addressed our needs. We will definitely be back again!!

Great place, better location

This Coronado apartment is in a beautiful, secure, walkable neighbourhood. The hostess Connie and her husband are lovely and welcoming, and easily available if any issues arise with the property (though I didn’t encounter any). The place itself provides all the kitchen amenities you could need for a longer term stay. The bed is comfortable memory foam and the shower has good pressure. What makes the place great is the outdoor space..there are options for lounging in palm tree shade or getting some sun, and the wifi remains strong outside. It really has a nice private cabana vibe. I’ve stayed in my fair share of San Diego area vacation rentals and this is the first I’ve found that I hope to rent again in the future.

Great location!

I loved staying in this guest house! It's located so close to Orange Avenue, the ferry landing, restaurants, and more. If I ever needed something, Connie was quick to respond and have it taken care of right away. The back patio is huge and great for grilling or just enjoying the great Coronado weather. I especially appreciated that the guest house has two stories with the bedroom upstairs so that I could open the windows and have a nice breeze. The house was very clean, so cute, and well decorated. I'd definitely stay here again!

Coronado Apartment

I lived in the apartment for five months and couldn't have been happier with my experience. Connie was always on hand to get back to me if I ever had any questions or needed anything and she always made sure I was happy and comfortable in the apartment. The apartment is also in an ideal location; just a short walk or bike ride to the ferry landing, Orange Avenue and fabulous restaurants and beaches. I adored my stay here and I will always treasure all the memories and experiences I had during my time in Coronado.

good location in quiet neighborhood

I stayed here for almost three months while working at north island navy base and really enjoyed the location. I also brought my dog and how quiet the property and neighborhood in general was he even was relaxed as I was, and he is a relatively excitable dog. The property had everything you could possibly need available, I don't think I went out the entire time I lived there except to walk to the grocery store one block away. I enjoyed my stay here and if I were stationed in san Diego again I would definitely look to stay here again.

Wonderful!!

My husband and I stayed at Connie and Frank's lovely vacation rental during the month of March. It is walkable to everything, well stocked with anything you could need for the kitchen/grill, and they even included beach chairs which we used often! Connie was a DELIGHT to work with. Prompt responses to any and all questions, always cheerful, and she worked hard to make our stay there the best it could be. I can't recommend it highly enough! Also...a FANTASTIC price for the location and space!!

Great location

Very convenient location for local shopping, food and entertainment. We walked the entire island during our stay but public transportation was readily available for anyone who may need it. The owners provided us with enough supplies and information to make our stay enjoyable. We would certainly return in the future.

Fabulous place in excellent location!

We stayed here while visiting my sister who is in the Navy in San Diego. It was perfect! The location really is ideal for someone who wants to be within walking distance to awesome places or just wants to be nearby. The place has a beach theme that is relaxed and inviting. The bathroom was recently beautifully redone and the whole place was very well maintained and clean. It's not a big place but it was nice not having to worry about hearing people outside our door like you do in hotels. Right behind it is a gorgeous patio area which was one of our favorite things about this place and had dinner outside a couple of nights. As I mentioned it is not a very big place but it easily accommodated me, my husband and sister. Prior to booking it I asked if it would be ok for my sister to stay (we figured we'd just use a blow up mattress) and Connie was very honest about the size but said it would be ok for her to stay. Knowing that there would be a third guest she went and got a blow up mattress for us! I thought that was so kind! We didn't end up using it since we had other family in town that had an extra bed in their hotel but I was extremely thankful for Connie's honesty and helpfulness. There was an Albertson's and small market store about a block or two away. We rented bikes that we kept in the patio (since it was enclosed and we were warned the #1 thing that is stolen in Coronado are bikes which makes sense because everyone uses them!) and would ride to the grocery store and grab things for breakfast. It was so much fun and amazing that we could do that. The whole town is very bike friendly and felt very safe. Not once did I feel insecure or scared. We rode our bikes on a trail by the pier which was awesome at night (something I highly recommend because it's breathtaking). As for places to eat there are many within walking distance! My favorite breakfast place was Tartine. They serve an amazing croque monsieur and amazing pastries however they don't serve eggs(which I don't eat) so that was the negative for my husband. The Coronado brewery offers amazing food! My favorites were their mussels in Diablo sauce and buffalo tenders! Mouthwatering! Some of our other faves were the market in Little Italy. It's only open on Saturdays but it is a must! Fresh produce, fruit, amazing food and flowers. There's also a coffee shop there called Caffe Italia that. I'm still dreaming about their hot chocolate and cookies! The Midway is a must too!!!
