This luxurious estate is located in Escazú, the Beverly Hills of Costa Rica. Tucked away in its own private sanctuary of relaxation and overlooking the most magnificent view of the volcanoes, mountains and San Jose Valley. Just minutes from the best shopping, restaurants, and clubs, this extraordinary residence is perfect for family gatherings, wedding events, bachelor parties, business functions, and over-the-top parties.

This property is equipped with a huge great room, a fully equipped stainless steel kitchen including a 72' refrigerator/ freezer and eight suites including two master suites, air conditioning, safe deposit boxes, WI-FI, and LCD flat screen TV's. There is an open terrace next to the covered, heated pool which also overlooks the spectacular view. There is plenty of parking in the front driveway. Daily maid service is provided. Spa treatments, tours and private transportation can be arranged prior to arrival.

We have six additional rooms including a master suite that can also be reserved separately, in addition to the seven rooms included herein for larger groups at an additional fee.

Zeida is an extraordinary host. The planning process for my 50th birthday celebration with family and friends (15 total) was made easy because she assist me with everything that I needed. Her communication was very prompt with clarity. The view from the property was breathtaking. Transportation (Abner), chef (Rosemary), and I was sunset Cruise vendors were all referred from her, and I was not disappointed with any one of them.I would definitely book Casa Cristal again for a large group setting. Awesome house

It was large it had enough rooms and bathrooms so that everyone can be to themselves. The onsite staff was great and helpful. The chefs recommended was awesome....only thing could make it better was the weather... We had a great stay will recommend to others

Great location

This is the 2nd time I've stayed here and it was great. The View and size of the location is perfect. The accommodations what great and everything was on point. My only reservation was that the location was a little unclean at first. But that may have been due to us checking in early prior to the cleaner finishing up. Probably needs some minor updating as some of the areas are dated. But overall it was a great experience again.

Casa Cristal is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G

Me and my buddies stayed in this Mansion for 3 nights and we absolutely loved it. Pictures do not do any justice and the hospitality from Victor and Zeida was amazing. They really know their job very well. They arranged for our transportation during our stay , starting from picking up from Airport and dropping us back. Our drive Abner was very friendly, spoke good English, understood our needs very well and delivered. The property was clean with stunning views. I would recommend this property to others.. And, yes given a chance I will go back again and again.. Thank you Zeida, Victor and Abner for making our trip memorable.

Costa Rica Casa Cristal Luxury Home Scores Big Points!

The folks who said, "...you only get one chance to make a good first impression" definitely had Casa Cristal in mind when it comes to vacation homes in Costa Rica. The house was immaculate! Every detail of the home displayed on the listing was spot on. It was very spacious, modern, well kept and clean. If any questions arouse during our stay the owners went above and beyond and responded within minutes not hours. My friends and I typically travel to a different country each year for our annual vacation and it was unanimous that Casa Cristal was the best value of all our trips hands down. Beatiful view, great for large groups

Our group had an amazing time, staying at Casa Cristal. The pictures don't do it justice, the place can easily fit 20 people. There are several common areas in different parts of the house, which are great for hanging out in smaller or larger groups throughout the day. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We requested chef services two times during our stay - both times the food was fresh and absolutely amazing. The view was probably the most memorable part of the stay at Casa Cristal - it was so beautiful. The skyline looked different every day, depending on the location of the fog/clouds. There are a ton of balconies and patio space to sit outside and enjoy the view, and we definitely took full advantage. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend it to anyone.

A joke!

When we 1st arrived...the lights were out! We were not able to complete a walk through (sounds suspicious right)? We used candles the 1st night. When the lights came back on (while sleeping) all guest phones were dead. The house was beautiful but outdated in some areas. There were ants and huge spiders throughout the home. After leaving and returning to the States, the insurance sent over a list of items that were not caused by the renters. Maybe if the owner would've know that the renters were Officers, Nurses, Counselors and business owners, they would not have included such fraudulent claims.

Great Location and gracious hosts

I, along with 8 of my friends visit a different country every January. We selected Costa Rica this year and decided, for the first time to try VRBO as opposed to a traditional hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by Casa Cristal. It was beautiful on the inside, the views we outstanding, the spaces were well maintained and cleaned and there were many gathering spaces for our activities. Besides the property, the owners were even more impressive. Zeida and Victor were personally invested in ensuring that we enjoyed our stay. They helped arrange for daily transportation at a very reasonable rate. The vehicle was fairly new and could seat 12. We were able to go to the beach, zip lining and to the volcano in a safe manner (I wouldn't advise driving yourself). They were also able to provide a chef and sous chef at an extremely reasonable price. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding. They were even able to arrange for a same day massage for one of the guys who hurt his back while hiking. Several of the guys are looking to return with our spouses for a couples get-away. I couldn't think of a better location. We had an amazing time and would definitely return.

Perfect for Multiple Couples

I cannot say enough good things about this property or the ease in working with Zeida! From the beginning, Zeida patiently answered all of my / our questions. After arriving, she continued to be available when we requested chef services (I highly recommend a night or two of their deliciously prepared cuisine!) or to ask for recommendations. We were greeted warmly by the housekeeper, who showed us the house and allowed us to selected our rooms. She arrived each day around 8AM and completed her tasks in an unobtrusive manner if we were still in the house. Each day, after a round of golf or an excursion, we returned home to a clean house, fresh linens, beds made and dishes washed. We were all happy to leave her a little something extra for her exceptional service. Our transportation was provided by Abner and Marvin. While there is a daily rate, our needs [golf] did not require a full day's service. I appreciated Abner's honesty in explaining that he would charge us "transfers" instead of needing to hire him for the entire day. He speaks English and is worth his weight in gold for the service he provides, which was always prompt and courteous. The house itself is lovely and sprawling, with plenty of room for everyone to have their own space when needed. When our dinners were chef prepared, the larger banquet kitchen was perfect to seat all of us. I think we were in the hot tub every day and in the pool several times (after asking the temperature to be turned down a bit). When it comes to the views, especially the sunrise, all I can say is ...wow! Sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee is the perfect way to start the day. If we are ever back in Costa Rica, and in need of numerous rooms, we will not hesitate to stay at Casa Cristal. Zeida and her staff have hospitality down to an art form!

January 15-19

As a group of us travel each year to a different location, January 15-19 we boarded a flight and shared our time in Costa Rica and Casa Cristal. I broke the review down as follows: • Communication: From the very first moment that we inquired about the house through our stay in Costa Rica, Zeida was extremely responsive. She uncomplainingly answered all inquiries and even provided suggestions regarding excursions. • Driver: Abner was absolutely THE best. With a group of 11, he was extremely patient, knowledgeable, kind, and most importantly, friendly. His demeanor made us feel very welcomed. Abner ensured a safe journey to the beach, rainforest, and back. • Chef: Unfortunately, I did not get her name. She cooked up two amazing meals. This is worth the add- on! • House: The location of the house was definitely breathtaking. Especially, in the morning when the sun rises. The structure of the home was very accommodating and spacious for our large group. The only negative from our group is the cleanliness of the house. Upon arrival, we planned to have a bbq as it states there is a grill. However, the grill was dirty and extremely small, similar to a tabletop grill. Also, parts of the house lacked TLC and there was a mildew smell upon walking in the main entrance where the fountain was located. While the housekeeper is on duty daily, she is one single person and with a house of that size, I’d suggest a cleaning team. Overall, our stay in Costa Rica was nothing short of decent. We would recommend Casa Cristal, Abner (as the driver), and the chef! Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

PERFECTION!!!!!!

My friends and I started planning our October stay in February. In the meantime Zeida answered so many of our questions. She was extremely helpful in all aspects of planning this trip. We gave her a list of activities we were planning and she put us in touch with all of the right people to make the booking of excursions extremely smooth. All of the people she recommend went above and beyond our expectations. Our driver Abner and his associates were amazing as well. They took great care of us and took us to a few recommended bars for additional fun. The chefs in the house were amazing!!!!! Every meal we had was delicious. The option to have the chefs made everything so convenient for our large party. The housekeeper came daily and made sure everything was neat and clean for us everyday. The home itself is even more immaculate in person!!! Overall, Zeida and her crew were absolutely amazing!!!! When I go back to Costa Rica, I will definitely be staying here again. I recommend Casa Cristal to anyone!!!!

The best property I've ever rented!

If you are traveling to San Jose, staying at Casa Cristal is a must! The house is amazing. If you thought the pictures were great, just wait until you see it in real life. I was on a trip with 16 other people and there was still so much space; it was perfect. The owners provide daily cleaning of the property which is rare for a rental; you normally only get that kind of service in a hotel. But aside from being a great place to sleep, our host Zeida was PHENOMENAL! She was so patient when I had tons of questions for her, even speaking to me over the phone at one point. No matter how many times I contacted her with a question, she was very helpful and always responded quickly. Even while I was on vacation, I reached out to her for assistance and she was there for me. She even arranged our transportation for the weekend and a personal chef to cook breakfast. Zeida is the real reason to rent this place. She is a dream and one of the reasons my trip to Costa Ria went so well. I would definitely stay here again!

House is a gigantic, hillside mansion with 9 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, lots of balconies, pool, and hot tub. One feels like a rap mogul snaking around this expansive square footage. Victor and Abner delivered top notch service. Unparalleled. We were a bachelor party and we had no problems.

Amazing, Relaxing, Safe Enjoyable!

Stayed at Casa Cristal Apr 6-9 for a bachelor party with a group of 14. Plenty of space with for everyone. We spent most of our time in pool and jacuzzi which were both heated , clean and relaxing. Zeida and Victor were very accommodating to our every need. The House was clean and the chefs prepared an amazing dinner. Our driver Abner was very patient and didn’t rush us at all. He knew all the great places to hang out and kept us safe. Thanks again Zeida, Victor and Abner for making our stay fun, enjoyable and relaxing. We will see you again for sure!! Simply AMAZING!!!

PERFECT!

There are not enough stars to give Casa Cristal – 5 stars does not do it justice!! I stayed with a group of 10 for a bachelor party weekend. Zeida and Victor were world class hosts and were available to answer any questions we had. The views from the house are EPIC! We booked the chefs for one night and the food was AMAZING! Zeida helped us book transport for in town and out of town trips. I can’t say enough good things about this place!

Exceeded expectations

Zeida was an awesome host. She accommodated us for everything we needed and she made sure we made the most of the stay. I would reccommend getting the chefs as the food they prepared was fresh and delicious. The house was absolutely stunning and is a lot bigger than expected with an amazing view of the city at night. Absolutely amazing! Pictures don't do it justice.

I loooved the property. It's absolutely beautiful and the pics do it no justice. The dining and living room area by the pool was everybody's favorite place to hang out and take pictures. It's beautiful!! I stayed there with 26 other people for 4 nights and had nothing but positive feedback from everyone. Zeida and Victor were very accommodating and fixed any issues quickly and went above and beyond for us. We also arranged for transportation through Zeida and it made our trip so much better. We had an AMAZING driver by the name of Oscar who everyone loved and fought to be in his van. He recommended restaurants and local spots for our down time and he was so sweet and accommodating. He's definitely an asset to Zeida's team. Thank you Zeida, Victor and of course Oscar for making our trip amazing!

Years later, she moved to Costa Rica and later opened Casa Cristal Boutique Hotel. In 2014, the boutique hotel was remodeled and converted into a vacation rental.
