About this property

Mas Cevenol with pool in Gagnieres

Large family house in the countryside with swimming pool near the Ganière river, on the edge of the Ardèche and the Cévennes national park. An independent part of the farmhouse is occupied by a year-round tenant who knows how to be discreet and who has 2 nice dogs (a Newfoundland dog and a chihuahua). You will have exclusive access to the swimming pool. Several Provencal markets in the surrounding villages (Les Vans, Saint Ambroix, Bessèges). Pont du Gard is just over an hour away by car. Hiking possibilities with donkeys in the surroundings or in the National Park. Several canoeing descents possible on the Chassezac, the Cèze and the Ardèche.

Le mas ainsi que la piscine sont très agréables. Les draps et serviettes inclus dans la location seraient un plus.Il y aurait quelques efforts à faire au niveau de la qualité du matériel de cuisine. Pour autant, nous avons passé un très agréable séjour.

Gîte au calme près de la forêt qui nous a apporté de la fraîcheur le matin et de l'ombre sur la piscine à 24 constants qui contrastaient avec les 42 extérieurs. La maison est restée presque fraîche durant cette canicule et la terrasse était notre pièce de vie principale, la cuisine bien équipée mais un lave vaisselle au bout du rouleau. Le piano a ravi nos musiciens et la belle bibliothèque a alimenté nos lectures. Seul bémol sur l'installation électrique qui mériterait une remise à niveau avec des chambres sans éclairage principal et des belles lampes sur pied du siècle précédent. L'accueil de Cathy et son fils, propreté de la location et l'entretien de la piscine étaient impeccables. Nous recommandons cette location pour son calme, la proximité de la forêt qui lui préserve sa fraîcheur.

Le mas d’André est un peu dans son jus, mais c’est aussi ce qui fait son charme. La cuisine est bien équipée, les chambres sont spacieuses, la literie est bonne, et l’espace est confortable. Le plus de ce mas, la piscine, grande, et située dans un espace pourvu de grands arbres anciens. Nous y sommes allés lors des fortes chaleurs de ce mois de juin et nous avons beaucoup apprécié l’ombre généreuse. La terrasse ombragée est aussi très agréable et permet de manger dehors à tous les repas.Nous recommandons.

On a passé un weekend en famille à 9 dont 3 enfants, on a passé un super weekend. La maison est très agréable ainsi que l'extérieur. André et Cathy ont été super gentil. Très bonne communication.Seul bémol la taille des couettes qui ne sont pas standard avec des housses de couette classique type 140.L'hôte nous a prévenu mais pas très pratique.

Cadre agréable, calme et reposant. Situé à proximité de superbes sentiers pédestres et vtt. Le gîte en lui même mériterait quelques petites améliorations, mais le sentiment global après notre séjour est plus que favorable. Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour.

Jolie propriété pour famille nombreuse. De la place pour chacun. Un espace extérieur pour les repas apprécié. Un plus pour la piscine dont l'entretien était très régulier.Nous avons passé de bons moments.Bel accueil par Cathy à notre arrivée et au moment du départ.Dommage que le bâtiment ne soit pas mieux entretenu (volets en mauvais état - revoir certaines fenêtres et porte-fenêtres - rénovation de certaines pièces indispensable).Manque de place pour stocker en cuisine et pas de placard dans certaines chambres.

Un weekend loin de la ville et du quotidien mouvementé dans une propriété magnifique, nous avons pu profiter de la fraîcheur de la maison, de la piscine pour se retrouver et se ressourcer.
