The Bayou Bungalow – Reelfoot Lake Vacation Rental

Located right on the water’s edge, The Bayou Bungalow is a cozy, family-style lodge designed for those who want the comforts of home with the charm of a private hideaway. Beautifully decorated with up-to-date style, the lodge features a spacious living area and is kept exceptionally clean—so inviting, you’ll want to return year after year.

Situated on the banks of Bayou De Chien, a natural bayou leading to the northeast side of the Upper Blue Basin, this smoke-free lodge now also offers fast, free wireless internet for your convenience.

Fully Equipped for Your Stay

No need to bring ice – the bungalow has an ice maker and a freezer stocked with bagged ice. Please reuse and refill the bags as needed.

After launching your boat at the nearby ramp, you can dock right at the bungalow and head straight out onto the lake.

You’ll have direct access to Reelfoot Lake where you can fish for crappie, bream, catfish, and largemouth bass—all just steps from your door. The lodge’s location next to a national wildlife refuge means you’ll enjoy frequent sightings of birds and other wildlife in their natural habitat.

The property was just as advertised. It was clean and had plenty of room for whole families. I really liked that they had ice for coolers. We had a wonderful time there. It was close enough to everything but far enough away that it didn't seem to busy. It was the perfect place for a get away.

The home was clean and we had everthing we needed. We enjoyed the comfortable living room furniture. Unfortunately, we had an issue with the air conditioning in the master bedroom. Also, the bed wasnt very comfortable for us. We both have arthritis pain and it was too hard. Carole was great to check on us.

Not a very good place if you are hot natured.

The AC was locked on 75 all weekend and could not turn it down any more, the pots and pans that were on site had to be washed before using due to them being dirty, propane grille was not usable while we were on site. Asides from it being hot inside all weekend with very minimal airflow at night it could easily be a cozy place to stay. The best thing about the place is the boat ramp is a half a mile down the road and there is an included boat dock which was super convenient. They will allow pets which was nice as well.

Fantastic place

We always try to stay here when we visit relatives down the road. The owners are fantastic and all the neighbors are very friendly. The place is always clean and well maintained. Nice relaxing getaway.

Bob and I live right next door to the bungalow. We purchased the bungalow for us to get away from our house. We love to say lets get out of the house for the weekend, go next door for a wonderful clean bungalow vacation. We can't do that anymore, because the bungalow is always booked. So we try to vacation at other VRBO owners vacation sites.

Located on the Bayou De Chein - Walnut Log Community, Reelfoot Lake Tn. and surrounded by wildlife. Enjoy the breath taking views of wildlife and the bald eagles of Reelfoot Lake. Fishing and duck hunting on the north end of Reelfoot Lake at the Upper Blue Basin.

Situated on The Bayou DeChein, a natural slough that leads to the upper blue basin. Located right next to a National Wildlife Refuge.

Wildlife at it's best. Sunset's 4 miles away from the observation deck at Grassy Island. Nothing but beautiful.
