In a beautiful Provencal setting, airconditioned house for 2 with swimming pool

All the charm of Provence in an exceptional site. Modern house (56 square meters), independent, tastefully decorated, adjoining the owner's house located in a former sheepfold of the seventeenth century. On the ground floor, a living room-dining room and an open kitchen. On the first floor, a large bedroom, a bathroom with showers and toilets. Very nice and large infinity pool shared with the owner usable 24 hours 24. Olives, cypress, cactus, lavender. Numerous vineyards nearby (Côtes du Rhône, Chateauneuf du Pape, Tavel, Lirac). Many activities around. (Orange, Avignon, Pont du Gard, Uzès...)

Very welcoming hosts. The site is ideally placed for exploring the area. The steep drive and parking is a little tricky but manageable.The pool.is beautifully secluded and restful with shade from the rock face later in the day. A parasol for earlier swim time would be welcome.Trips to Orange, Pont du Gard and the Museum of sacred art at Pont St Esprit recommended.

Merci beaucoup pour votre retour et pour vos recommandations de visites dans la région. Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez apprécié l'accueil et le cadre de la maison. Concernant la piscine, les voyageurs qui le souhaitent peuvent apporter leur propre parasol, et une partie des abords bénéficie naturellement de l'ombre de la falaise à partir de la fin d'après-midi. Pour le stationnement, il est également possible de se garer dans la rue. Au plaisir de vous accueillir de nouveau lors d'un prochain séjour.

We hebben erg genoten van deze locatie. De gastheer en -vrouw waren zeer behulpzaam en onderhoudend. Het huisje stond vlakbij de woning van de verhuurder, maar hebben wij niet als storend ervaren. Als je van beslotenheid en rust houdt, terwijl je toch in een dorp verblijft is dit een prima locatie. Het parkeren was boven aan de oprit die voor Nederlandse begrippen stijl is. Maar op zich was dit goed te doen. Mocht je hier tegen op zien dan is er onder aan de oprit altijd wel een parkeerplekje te vinden. Alle zaken die op de website staan zijn ook in het huisje aanwezig. De benodigdheden in het huisje zijn goed. Als je van hele grote luxe houdt dan is dit huisje misschien iets minder geschikt. Voor ons zijn de bedden altijd erg belangrijk en het bed was voor ons in elk geval prima. Kwamen zonder rugklachten het bed uit. Het huisje is minder geschikt voor mensen met een rolstoel of mensen die slecht ter been zijn omdat je met een smal trapje naar de bovenverdieping moet voor toilet, douche en slaapkamer. Kortom: wij hebben bijzonder genoten van het huisje, de gastvrijheid en de mooie bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving. Voordeel is dat het dorpje waar dit huisje zich bevindt op 8 minuten van de snelweg zit zodat je makkelijk en snel naar andere bestemmingen kan rijden.

Schönes, kleines Häuschen, mit allem, was man braucht. Das Beste bei der Hitze: die Klimaanlage und der riesige Pool! Die sehr netten Gastgeber wohnen im Haupthaus und geben nützliche Tipps. Vielen Dank für den Tipp für das großartige Restaurant! Kleiner Nachteil ist die steile und holperige Auffahrt. Wir haben lieber an der Straße geparkt, was aber kein Problem war.

Perfekte Lage

Die Gastgeber Didier und Sylvia sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt und der Pool ist ein Traum! Mit dem Fahrrad oder Auto kann man viele schöne Orte der Provenve sehr schnell erreichen. Wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen.

Spektakulärer Pool am Ferienhaus

Das Ferienhaus ist ideal für 2 Personen und mit allem notwendigen ausgestattet. Es gibt auch einen schönen Bereich zum draußen sitzen. Der Pool liegt spektakulärer an einem ehemaligen Steinbruch. Das Haus ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Touren in der Provence. Die Vermieter Didier und seine Frau sind sehr gute Gastgeber und haben tolle Tipps parat. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Calme et détente

Nous avions besoin de calme et de détente et nous avons été comblés. Dès que l’on a passé le portail,nous avons succombé au charme du lieu. En face de nous se dresse un rocher surmonté d’un ancien moulin à vent. Ce rocher sert d’écrin à une grande piscine à débordement dont nous avons bien profité. Nos hôtes nous ont donné pleins de conseils sur les endroits à visiter, les activités, les bons restaurants (le café de France à Caderousse ...), où se procurer de bons fruits et légumes.... Bref nous avons été ravis. Merci encore à Silvia et Didier pour leur disponibilité, leur conseils et leur discrétion.

Eine traumhafte Zeit in der Provence.

Das Gelände, das Kleine Haus und der Pool entsprachen zu 100 Prozent den Bildern und der Beschreibung. Didier und Sylvia sind unglaublich freundliche, hilfsbereite Menschen und gute Gastgeber. Immer zurückhaltend, nie aufdringlich, aber immer für tolle Ausflugtipps zu haben. Auch dafür unseren herzlichen Dank! Superb week in the Provence

We've spent a lovely week in this beautiful, calm and relaxing spot. A very warm welcome by Sylvia and Didier, who are perfect hosts - amiable, discreet, and helpful with many useful tips. The house is cozy and nicely decorated, and perfectly situated for exploring the Provence. We missed nothing and the property and pool are simply gorgeous. Séjour très reposant dans un cadre magnifique et très bien situé entre les Baux, St Rémy, Avignon, Le Pont du Gard... une merveilleuse piscine pour se rafraîchir après les excursions, et l’accueil charmant des propriétaires qui ont su nous donner de très bons conseils... 15 jours de repos ... à refaire.

Worn down and not independent ‘cottage’ beside owners house.

Nice location in very quiet village with friendly and hospitable hosts. Charming place, but does not meet description or our expectations. The facility is NOT independent! Owners live in house on property and privacy only indoors. Facility is worn down (with electrical phenomenon in shower!), a/c inefficient and to loud to use when in the house, most inventory felt like handed-down. Would not let a place in this condition. We left the place as soon as we found alternative accommodation.

Dear Guests, We are deeply sorry that, reading the ad, you could understand that the listing was totally isolated. We thought, in good faith, that it was clear that the house was independent, but located in the same property than our house, and that we share our swimming pool with our (only 2) guests. Concerning those matters, we never had any complaints before. Maybe the ad was not precise enough, and therefore, we will do our best to avoid this situation. Nevertheless, the goal of ratings and comments is to help future guests to make an enlightened choice, and hosts to enhance the service they provide. The aim has never been to crystallize your frustration. That is the reason why there are generally 6 distinct ratings criterias to establish a global rating: Accuracy Arrival Cleanness Communication Location Ratio quality/price, You evaluated globally the listing with 1 star only. Referring to our former evaluations and comments, it appears obvious that your rating is totally subjective Finally, regarding your different observations - A/C works very well, except during an exceptional heat wave (+43° C outside during your stay) - Regarding the “handed down inventory” there is a difference between antique furniture and damaged items.

Eine Oase zum Enspannen am Rande eines kleinen Dorfes

Eine Oase der Ruhe, ein Ort zum Enspannen. Bilder im Netz entsprechen der Realität und sehr netter Empfang der Vermieter, die gern Auskünfte und Empfehlungen gaben. Die Unterkunft ließ keine Wünsche offen und der Pool ist ein Traum. Wir haben uns zu jeder Zeit dort wohl gefühlt und die Lage war ideal für Ausflüge.

We had a lovely relaxed week and were very appreciative of Didier and Silvia leaving us a complimentary bottle of wine, water,etc, particularly when our flights led to a very late arrival. The rock face backdrop to the swimming pool was quite unique, we loved it! The property was as expected from the photos presented and was very comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay and the hospitality of Didier and Sylvia. The site was very comfortable and met all our needs. The location is very quiet. The town of Roquemaure is well situated for touring this region of France. The vineyards, small towns and countryside were wonderful. Un séjour d'une semaine très agréable, au calme.... le logement est parfait, avec climatisation. Les propriétaires sont discrets et nous ont offert un apéritif pour faire plus ample connaissance. Très sympathique. Une belle adresse que l'on recommande.
