J'adore cette maison!

We love this place and we have stayed here several times in the past so it feels like a home from home. We have stayed here mainly as a family of five but it also has space to invite grandparents or friends. The location is great as it is so central, close to the market, boulangerie, cafes, shops and restaurants. Perfect spot for exploring all of the island.

Excellent Location with some Downsides Particularly a Car

Communication with the host re check-in was terrible causing us much stress. We did not receive the info until the day before our arrival and even then the info received was such that it took us 1 hour to retrieve the key. There is no parking at the unit, which we were aware of, and free parking was some distance away so we opted for paid parking which cost 29 E per day. Getting luggage to unit was also difficult as access to streets in the area are blocked during the day. Only with the help of a resident were we able to get the car within 1/2 block of the unit. We loved the location and particularly the outdoor patio area of the unit where we spent most of our time. Inside was very hot with no a/c or fans for cooling. Open windows provided little relief for sleeping and ran the risk of inviting the cat in that patrolled the roofs. Be aware that bathrooms in the two major bedrooms upstairs are open to the bedroom with no privacy. There is no standup shower and all are hand held showers located in tubs. Bedrooms lack lighting and some lights that did exist did not work. There are no instructions provided for the unit and renters are left to find things for themselves. For example: the washing machine is located in a small building in the back yard and instructions in English would have been helpful; WiFi password is located on a sticker on the electrical panel; hairdryer was located in an obscure location and required the help of the housekeeper to locate.

Perfect place

Denis place was perfect for our girls trip, clean and spacious, so close to town and importantly 2 sets of keys! Communication was great. Can’t comment on cooking facilities as didn’t use them! Thanks so much :)
