Flat with Garden

I was disappointed the the "ground floor" flat was in fact a basement. The stairs down to the door at first glance were in darkness, till the automatic light came on. The flat was very cold & musty, mold on the bathroom ceiling, as no fan. The shower leaked in spite of us trying to tighten up the shower head. One had to constantly put lights on in the hallway, & bedrooms as they were so dark. Instructions for the washer & dryer would have been nice as for most visitors I would think the workings of both would be very different in their home countries. The little garden was nice sheltered from the cool wind & a nice sun trap. Once we got the bus & metro sorted we were able to travel to the many areas that Porto has to offer. We were amazed at the clean buses & metro stations. Unfortunately there do not seem to be any laws about cleaning up after owner's dogs, so beware where you walk on the side walks.. I would return to Portugal again but perhaps another area, closer to the ocean. Sadly we only had 2 weeks in Porto because of the need to cancel our last 2 weeks due to the warnings of Covid 19 & the possible cancellation of flights back to Canada.

Cave basement apartment

Nice, very private outside terrace. Due to its Cave location in the building there is a very bright and light part and a grey dark part of the property. Good and equipped kitchen, one bathroom. Location is excellent, 5 min by bus or car to downtown Porto. Mini mercado, café and restaurant just on the corner.

Our 2nd stay in this charming apartment, and hopefully not the last one!

It was ouir 2nd stay in this great apartment, and even though it was longer than the 1st one last year (40 days!), once again we were so sorry to leave... The apartment did not change much during this year - it remains quite spacious, spotlessly clean, very quiet, with comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen and large bathroom, while the little garden has become even more delightful, full of lush vegetation, including exotic plants, and birds are still singing happily in the morning and throughout the day - very relaxing and comforting! It goes without saying that this apartment will be our first choice for the next stay in beautiful Porto, hopefully soon enough.
