Wonderful accommodation! The villa was perfect for our group of ten - fully equipped. Highly recommended. We enjoyed discovering the Trastevere area and look forward to returning.
An excellent home, very clean and well maintained. Plenty of room and exactly like the photos. Beautiful outdoor area to enjoy a morning coffee before heading out for the day.
The house was amazing and so close to everything - just a short bus ride to almost anything! We stayed June 23 -27 and enjoyed the home, neighborhood and all the great local cafe's and bars. We were a party of 10 and we really needed the downstairs apartment. Make sure you ask about it because I had to wire and extra $600 to the owner for use of the apartment and air conditioning-which was needed due to 90 degree temps. Also, was asked to pay and additional $160 for a "tax", that was never made clear. I did not pay it as it was not listed on VRBO website. There are other people staying on the property which I was unaware of, but it was not a problem until the elevator went down and all of a sudden two people were walking through the home to exit the villa! All and all a great stay!
The property experienced was what you see on the VRBO site. The family of six adults and five boys (ages 14-16) were comfortable in the villa and the downstairs apartment ( which has a separate entrance than the villa).
The local market, a very short walk, provided everything we needed for each meal (when we ate in). Local restaurants, meat markets and bakery we used had great food and prices very reasonable.
The welcoming information from the owner Danila and property manager Mirela met all expectations we needed for arrival, transportation methods and local restaurants. Our interactions with Mirela created many positive memories of the Villa and Rome. She was so gracious.
Note: When we arrived we took the "urban" train. Quick and clean. However though the walk is short it is uphill. We decided to use cabs, for quicker transportation times, for all transportation. Taxis half the cost of an Uber. Prices extremely reasonable compared to USA and vehicle very clean.

Overall pleasant stay
Having never been to Rome and coordinating a family/friend reunion with others coming from all over the world, this was a great place to stay and the pictures were accurate to the house (for the most part). A lot of natural light and windows, which was very pretty and nice to wake up to the birds in the morning or sit on the back patio to drink your coffee. One thing that caught us by surprise is that the attached apartment, while attached to the main villa, is an entirely different entrance and living area. If you are staying in a large group and want to all be together under one roof, I would not recommend renting the apartment. We also found the apartment to be very dark. Lastly, important to know that in the main villa there is only 1 private shower and then 1 shower that connects to 2 rooms (visible to both rooms- although there is a curtain that tries to give privacy). With such a large group, the 1 private shower was challenging especially morning and evening as we were getting ready for the day or getting ready for bed.
The owner and the assistants are all very nice and accommodating and are willing to answer questions throughout the entire stay, offering recommendations and suggestions! Very cute neighbourhood area with walkable grocery and cafes, which were great! Taxis can be difficult to book and given that we were a group of 12, we found that a little more challenging than we had anticipated. Plan for about a 30 minute ride into central Rome.
June 18 through the 25th 2022! The house was beautiful and comfortable for most but misleading on how comfortable 14 people can be! The way the beds are counted were not explained that one was a very uncomfortable sofa bed in a room with no air conditioner with it being 97 degrees in Rome! So those two had to go to a hotel adding to the expense of our trip! The bathrooms, hallways are not air conditioned! You have to pay for air conditioning! The thing that makes no sense for me was in a well stocked kitchen their was no microwave! I know as an american I am a little spoiled but you could have a small microwave these days very cheap! Any food left over from a restaurant can not really be brought back to reheat! I guess you could have put it in oven but that would have added more heat to the house! So renting this house overall was pleasant but do not go by the numbers the owner says it will comfortable sleep!
We had the privilege of staying at this property and would highly recommend it to anyone with a large travelling group! It is exactly as advertised and the property managers is great to deal with. You made the start of our Italy vacation unforgettable! your property is absolutely beautiful and perfectly located to experience the "true" Roman lifestyle. THANK YOU!
Its like a home out of a design magazine! It is exactly like the listing photos.
Having gone to Rome many times we didn't need to be in city center, and we actually preferred it!
It was perfect!

A beautiful and stately property
I really enjoyed staying here for four nights while site seeing in Rome. There were eight of us (two families) and there was plenty of room inside and outside to relax. The home was full of interesting modern art, and really looks like the photos presented. The ceilings are really high, the staircase is marble, and the place is light and airy. We were able to do laundry, prepare meals in a well appointed kitchen, and enjoy eating them outside, where there are three patio areas to choose from. All of the outdoor spaces have beautiful gardens and planters which are well maintained. We enjoyed our cocktails and appetizers each night on the roof top terrace. For an extra fee you can request air conditioning, which is a must in the summer, and was refreshing after touring each day. There is a full grocery store within walking distance. Communication with the owner's assistants who manage the rental was superb. There were no hitches. The light metro line to Venezia Plaza is a short walk, but you do have to leave time to "commute" to the center of Rome. That is the only downside of this location for tourists, but the price of this rental was much more affordable than staying closer to the sites. However, Uber was another option that we sometimes used and was about $16 for a car for four. Overall I loved this spot and would stay there again.

Lovely place
Loved the house and gardens. Plenty of space. Easy access to bus, tram, and train.
Get the A/C if you go in the summer and some mosquito spray.
Recommend this place for a large family. We really enjoyed it!

Ogni bene.

Villa LEONARDO
The Villa Leonardo was a marvelous spot to spend six nights in Rome. Out of the central part of town, but easily accessible by bus, tram, and local train, we found it to be a restful spot to return to each night after hours of Roman cobble stones and sidewalks. All of our party could have privacy while still being able to meet for wine on the terrace or quick suppers in the dining room. The neighborhood is elegant but friendly, with a nearby (four short blocks) providing everything we needed. Then there were the local discoveries, such as the produce stand with wonderful strawberries and asparagus, and the absolutely charming Edoni with its southern Italian specialities. Danila in her messages to us and Mrs Ada on site whenever needed provided splendid support for our party. It was a genuine pleasure for or six night stay.

It is always a pleasure to receive guests from all over the world in our home, but sometimes it is even more enjoyable than others.
This is the case with David and his family, exceptional people: kind, friendly, and open minded. I hope to re-entertain them as guests in the future.
A warm greeting

"We had a very good time and really felt at home, very nice house, the rooms were very spacious, full of light with high ceilings. We especially appreciated the very quiet neighbourhood and nice atmosphere. Connections also were quite good. There is a tram that brings you right in the hearth of Rome quite quickly, it has a dedicated lane so it doesn’t get stuck in traffic."

"We got there by chance, cause we had had troubles with another place we had previously booked, but it was a lucky chance.
I had been in Rome already, but I had stayed close to the main train station. The city is very beautiful, but sometimes can be quite chaotic. In this area we were very close to the centre, and well connected, but it was so green and quiet, it felt like a safe refuge at the end of the day. We got to see another side of the town, less touristy and more Roman.
The house was very nice too, the garden well kept and the rooms really nice…. The people in the nearby shops don’t speak much English so bring an Italian dictionary!!"

"Eravamo in 9 con 4 bambini. La location è molto confortevole. Pulita, tranquillissima, ubicata in zona abbastanza servita dai mezzi pubblici, molto ben attrezzata, facilmente accessibile.
Siamo stati molto bene.
Grazie."

About the host
Hosted by danila corinti
Hi, I'm Danila, as a person I’m dynamic (sometimes even too much), I love children, animals, gardening (if you decide to book your vacations with us you’ll see!), I love traveling and I love this job! I like to meet people, to talk to them, and sometimes, why not, keep in touch! It is truly fulfilling when, after spending a vacation in one of our places, people get back to me and let me know that they have had a good time! I can not always meet my guests in person (I divide my time between Rome and Tuscany, where we have a farm), but I personally answer to their questions, take care of their request and organize their sojourn. I’m glad when people decide to spend their vacation in our beautiful country, that I love so much, and I try to help them making the best of it!
Why they chose this property
This villa has belonged to our family from 1994, it is our home but, since we are often away on business, we rent it for a few months per year. It is designed and furnished like a real home, with all the amenities and with all the comfort you need. We hope that our guests will enjoy it as much as we do.
What makes this property unique
Rome is among the most beautiful cities in the world (I would say the most beautiful, but it is my home, so i am a little partial!!). However, it is a large city, with millions of people and, like every large city, it has its problems; noise traffic and pollution are unfortunately a major issue, and you have to be a little careful with your purse, in some areas. Our district, however, is completely different, and that is why we love it so much. It lays on a small hill, close to the center, but, being exclusively a residential area, mainly made of detached houses, it is noise and pollution free, and it is very safe. When you get here it feels like you stepped in a village inside the city. We all know our neighbors here and stroll around in perfect safety night and day. It is also a very green area, there are two beautiful parks and many houses have their garden, so in spring you can hear the birds twitting and, when the trees are in blossom, a wonderful smell of flowers fills the air.
