La Grande Maison 19th century farmhouse with shared heated pool sleeps up to 16

Nestled in the hamlet of Lestang beside the historic medieval Bastide of Eymet and yet just 20 minutes from the market towns of Bergerac and Issigeac. It’s the perfect location for those wanting to escape and unwind for a few days but if you fancy fitting in some culture or history or markets, fetes and festivals there is plenty on offer. Whatever your travel schedule you’ll find what you are looking for at La Colombiere making this a perfect holiday home for friends and family alike.
La Grande Maison is appointed to a high standard and sleeps up to 18 people. The farmhouse has a large and modern fully equipped kitchen; feature lounge with log burner; there are 6 spacious comfortable king size bedrooms all of which are en suite but with ample space for extra beds if required. Our ground floor bedroom has a walk in wet room making it ideal for those with limited mobility.
La Grande Maison is one of 3 gites at La Colombiere, each gite has it's own terraces, dining area with BBQ.



Outside, our superb 12 x 6 metre shared, heated pool has a large sun terrace, shaded areas for those wishing to stay cool, a bar area and separate shower and WC. The pool is shared with 2 small properties (up to 8 guests) Other terraced areas and verandas house BBQ’s and the large gardens make an ideal playground for the young and old alike.

La Colombiere is set in gardens and parkland of two acres with a nature walk around the further 16 acres of farmed and wooded land at the bottom of the garden there’s more than enough room for you to escape the hassles of the day. Nearby, there are plenty of Chemin Rural and the quiet roads are ideal for those with bikes.

Other facilities on site include; Heated, shared outdoor swimming pool with large sun terraces and shady areas; large lawn surround the property and are suitable for a variety of ball games, an 18 seat cinema room, games room with tennis table,a pool table and dart board, quiet parkland leading to a woodland walk.

We are also happy to help with bookings for local restaurants, taxis etc.

Nous sommes partis dans cette location à 17 personnes pour 3 jours pour passer le nouvel an. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Tom et sa femme qui s occupent de la maison car les propriétaires vivent en Angleterre. C est une très belle maison vaste et très confortable. Les pièces sont très saines, la literie et le linge irréprochables. Bien que nous étions très nombreux chacun avait suffisamment de place et d intimité car chaque chambre a sa salle de bain privée et ses toilettes. La cuisine est vraiment équipée pour un grand groupe et rien ne nous a manqué. Dans la pièce principale, un poêle à bois qui chauffe très bien ... heureusement car nous avons eu un problème de chauffage. Pas facile un week-end de trouver un plombier !!! Tom s est pourtant démené et nous avons été secourus le lundi. C est un endroit très calme, très reculé et très reposant. Nous en garderons un très bon souvenir !!!

Très bon accueil avec petites attentions (vin, chocolats). Malgré quelques déboires concernant le chauffage très difficile à maîtriser, et le temps ne s'y prêtant pas, les propriétaires ont fait réparer le système et nous avons pû avoir une température agréable. Sinon maison très bien équipée. Grandes chambres. Cuisine et séjour suffisamment vastes pour tous nous accueillir. Terrasse extérieure agréable (malheureusement à cause du temps, pas beaucoup de possibilité d'y séjourner). Toujours à cause de la météo, pas possible de profiter de la piscine. The house made our family weekend perfect! And Eileen and Richard are the perfect hosts.

We just spent 4 days at la Colombiere with our 9 (adult) childeren for a family get together. The house , with its big and cozy kitchen, big living room with open fire, lots of bedrooms with each its own bathroom, all very tastefully decorated, was just perfect for this. We made the meals together, after shopping at the market and enjoyed family time. The area is beautiful as well and we really hope to go back next year for a repeat, only next time we would like to stay there longer.
