Roomy, pet friendly lake house on beautiful Lake Cumberland overlooking needle point. House features 2 bedrooms(queen in master ,queen in 2nd bedroom, sofa bed in living room) 1 bath, and lodging for 6. Ample parking. Room for the entire family or cozy enough for a romantic getaway. Boat ramp/launch within minutes so you can do it all on the lake; boat, ski, fish, wakeboard, tube or just meet friends. The community boat ramp has plenty of parking so you can hit the lake any time of day. Lee's Ford and Burnside Marinas, two of Lake Cumberland's largest, are within a 15 minute drive.

However, if you would rather just relax, enjoy the massive deck overlooking the lake. The home is nestled in the shoreline trees that surround the lake with an incredible view from the master suite, kitchen and living room. Enjoy watching birds and wildlife or read your favorite novel. We have tried to provide for all of your needs, including streaming tv, wifi, fully equipped kitchen, and all linens. Large gas grill , new gas fire pit and dining on the deck.

Nice restaurants, shopping( Kroger Marketplace, TJ Maxx, Mall) all within a 15 minute drive. Somerset hosts Somernites Cruise car show April-October, and the Master Musicians festival in July, among many other events. Explore Cumberland Falls, Stearns railroad, and other attractions close by. Great hiking at our public park and Natural Arch, Cumberland Falls, Daniel Boone National Forest.

Making Memories

My sister and I, along with our husbands, took our parents for three nights to spend time with one another and look back at all of our summer memories spent on Lake Cumberland. Hosts, Linda and Robin, helped make our stay comfortable and relaxing in their beautiful, clean lake cabin. The view of the lake was phenomenal!We are so thankful we booked early. Recommendations will definitely be given for this place to family and friends, with us planning to return ourselves!

Pretty view

We had a long weekend at the cabin and had a very relaxing time. Found a very good restaurant at the Cumberland Grill also cooked some food and all was well. The bed was very comfortable! The couch, not so much. We really liked listening to all the birds and seeing the Lake.

Hidden Gem

Our stay at this lovely cottage was peaceful, quiet and serene. Great view of the lake and very comfortable cottage, well appoinhted. Conveniently located near Somerset and Burnside.

Much needed short vaca

Very clean, spacious, quiet, clean place! Just like your pictures & description! That part of the lake was quiet & view priceless if you love nature. Close by shopping, the falls etc. Loved it & will be back again! Linda was great too!

Perfect getaway!

We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back next year! Everything we needed was easily available plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. Beautiful neighborhood with lots to do within a few minutes drive. The lake view was so relaxing and peaceful. Our dog's didn't want to leave either!

Pretty but Impractical

This cabin was cute and clean. The wrap around deck was really nice. Plenty of seating and a gas firepit, also gated so our little dogs were safe. Well equipped a lovely setup on the inside. However..... I did inform the owner that we were bringing a pontoon and our little dogs. One is blind. She assured us that there was adequate parking for the boat and someplace to walk our dogs. Not so. If you are bringing a boat anywhere near 22 ft pontoon, you've got big problems. Not only is there not adequate room to park it without almost being in the road. There is no place to turn it around. My husband had to back it out into the adjoining road. Also.. zero yard.. and I mean ZERO to take a dog out to do their business. We found another rental and left after spending only 1 night. Just keep those things in mind when booking, otherwise it's a really cute spot. On a final note.. We had excellent communication with Linda throughout this process. Except when we left. She barely acknowled us at all.

This spot is an absolute gem! Morning coffee on the deck with a gorgeous view is just what the Dr. ordered. The place was very clean and is pet friendly. Communication was easy with Linda and she checked in on us to make sure everything was going well. For me, this place is a 12 out of 10.

Perfect little getaway

The property perfect for my wife and I! With the open kitchen to the living room to the view of the lake, we loved the charm and feel! We spent a lot of time on the big balcony just relaxing with the view of the lake, surrounded by trees, and very private. We’ll definitely try to go back soon!

We had a great time in this clean, cozy cottage. Views were great, beds were comfy, and location was serene, yet still close to town. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was some deferred maintenance - slider from master to deck was difficult to open/close. Deadbolts on door from living room to deck wouldn't open once locked. Lots of dead branches overhanging deck (one came down right next to us while we were there. Host is super conscientious, so sure it will be fixed for next guest.

Cute cabin with nice view

We enjoyed our stay at this cute cabin with a great view located close to town. The hosts were excellent at communication and responded quickly. The deck is the focal point and is great for sitting out and admiring the water, enjoying an evening fire or cooking out dinner. My only complaint is in sleeping comfort. The bed in the main bedroom was so hard the first night that we switched to the other bedroom the second night. In that room, the bed was much better, but the window blind is too small to keep the light out. If you’re a person that likes dark, make sure to bring an eye mask. On a final note, we did take a 17’ Bass boat to this property. As others have mentioned, this is not the ideal property for boats. It was very tricky backing the boat down to the property and then fitting it snug in front of the area you have to park. We were able to do it, but be advised you do not want to turn down to pull into the property or you will have to back out on the main road turn around and back the boat back down. We had to do that, and I had to exit the car and try to guide my husband. Unfortunately, in the process, I stepped in a drainage hole and injured my ankle. Thank God they had a First Aid kit in the house!

We are a local couple who live only a mile away from this property. We love this area so much we decided to offer travelers our little slice of paradise! Having spent my own teen years vacationing here, we just HAD to get the house when my parents retired to Florida. It still holds lots of fond memories and is the perfect place for you to make your own great memories. With ALL the benefits of the lake (skiing, boating, fishing, etc.) our property is also great for just a getaway. We enjoy a leisurely afternoon on the deck looking at the lake and reading our favorite novels! For us privacy is a must and you get it all with our property. The brand new kitchen means you can entertain your friends or make a nice meal for yourself. Thank you for choosing our property and we hope you enjoy!!!
