In a geographical triangle between Sarlat, Souillac and Gourdon, you are within minutes of restaurants, cafes, bars, 'tout les commerces' supermarket, banks, pharmacies, doctors, dentist and two excellent hospitals. The former Perigord capital of Sarlat is only 15 km from Plavard with its beautiful internationally renowned medieval centre. Sarlat is blessed with a wonderful market on Saturday mornings, which trails from the market place along twisting, honey-coloured streets. Here you can buy anything from foie gras to lace, fresh fish to local arts and crafts.
15 kms in the opposite direction is Gourdon, another delightful town. Daglan is the local village, about 3 km away, and contains a selection of small shops, 2 bars/cafés 2 restaurants, a bank and the post office.
The Perigord and Quercy are rural France at its best and this house gives you an ideal base from which to discover the area. A wealth of prehistoric, historic and scenic interests allow you to enjoy a multi-interest holiday, while at the same time the tranquil, restful surroundings also makes it ideal, should you wish a truly relaxing holiday.
With 'Les Morilles' being so central to this beautiful region no tourist site of repute is far away. In fact only 9 kms away, and constantly voted France's most picturesque village is 'La Rogue Gageac' clinging to the cliffs that edge the River Dordogne. The fortified bastide town of Domme, the beautiful village of Beynac, and the magnificent St. Cyprien are all close by. A little further a field can be found 'Les Eyzies', Montpazier and Rocamadour.
