Lovely country house among the hills between Pisa and Florence, surrounded by a 10.000 sqm fenced garden.
Located among the hills in San Miniato (Pisa), just 2km far from the Firenze-Pisa-Livorno highway entrance, scarcely 30mins drive time to the three main cities, a lovely detached 2-storey villa with private swimming-pool (m.7,25 x 4,60x1,40) comprised of the following: satellite TV, washing machine, dish washer, fridge, freeser, heating, 2 bathrooms equipped with shower and bathtub, internet WI-FI.
Air conditioning at level ground (extra price: euro 0,35 for each KWh.)
Included in price are: housing, weekly towel and bed linen change, water, gas and electricity consumption.
Immersed in the rolling green hills in San Miniato, 'Villa il Grillo' is a scarce km far from the following sport facilities: tennis, a five-a-side football camp, a wonderful and regionally renowned golf course, and the Moriolo lake for fishing. Stunning House & Gardens

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The beautiful house was perfect for our group of 7 with more than enough room for everyone. The very large grounds exceeded our expectations with so much space for our kids to run around, a fabulous pool, and several places to sit and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding countryside. This really is an excellent property!

Villa Cricket

Very nice owners who welcomed us with wine, prosecco and ice cream at our arrival. Villa offers full privacy. Very large garden. Clean swimming pool. Spectaculair views from the garden. Ideal to explore Tuscany. Florence, Pisa and Lucca are all relatively nearby. It is a must to have a car when you are staying at the villa.

Wonderful Villa

The quiet location of the villa is perfect with a short drive to a medieval hill top village with excellent restaurants and not too far into Pisa, Florence and Siena. The villa itself was fantastic with generous accommodation and set in beautiful landscaped gardens beautifully cared for with someone coming in discretely and regularly to maintain it. The photos on their website do not do it justice. The pool was excellent and warm. The hosts were amazing, and gave us a very detailed handover on arrival and were always on hand to answer any questions that we had. They really could not have been nicer and more helpful. It is an excellent holiday villa.

A Little Oasis

Everything you could need for a perfectly relaxing holiday in a typically Italian villa. Enza and Gabriella really care about their guests and their property. The accommodation is spotless and extremely well equipped and the outdoor pool and surrounds is equally well maintained. Travel to and from other locations is really quick and easy. Empoli station is ten minutes drive from the property and the train to Florence takes 22 minutes. If in the area again we would definitely rebook. Thank you Enza and Gabriella

Perfect for relaxing

We spent two weeks here at the beginning of September 2019. The villa was ideal for us and we loved it. The house is spacious with three large bedrooms. The large garden and grounds are beautifully kept and completely private. There are numerous seating areas and a very clean and good size pool. The house, kitchen and garden is well equiped. There are views of San Miniato from the garden. The owners, Enza and Gabriella, were very welcoming and if needed could be contacted at any time. We spent most of the time at the property just relaxing by the pool. Most of the main sights in Tuscany are within easy reach. We will return.

Great location

If you have a car and a driving Italy, the house is in a great location. Just 30ish minutes from Pisa, Florence and Lucca. San Miniato (up on the hill) was gorgeous as well. So many things to see and do!! The house was much bigger than we expected and had plenty of space for our family of 6. We had everything we needed! Pots, pans, washer, etc. The pool area was gorgeous but too cold still for us to use. We got a lot of local information and recommendations from the owner. The only negative is the decor is a bit dated, but if you’re out and about more than at the house it won’t matter. If you don’t have a car, this place will be difficult as nothing is really in walking distance. We had a wonderful time!

We thank the H. family for their description about our Holiday House. It is only to regret that some pieces of furniture, that in fact are antique-trade (some from the 18th/19th century - as it is possible to see by the photos on the site -), have been considered "dated"; but this depends on personal taste and, perhaps, also on furnishing expertise. Concerning the pool water, it actually reflects the season temperature; in the first half of April, during which the stay took place, the expected temperature is different from the one expected in July or August. As for the proximity from the nearest shops, this is about 1 Km., as, moreover, specified in the Home Away site; on the other hand, in order to have almost absolute privacy, as in our case, it is necessary not to be in the immediate vicinity of the city center. With specific regard to the members of the H. family, we can assure that they are kind and polite people and that they have left the house in perfect condition. We look forward to hosting them again in the future.

La villa il Grillo est très agréable à vivre et très conforme à la description. Les espaces sont vastes, les équipements intérieurs et extérieurs nombreux et de bonne qualité. Tolle saubete Villa in schöner Umgebung

Traumhaus in ruhiger Lage

Das Haus ist ein typisch toskanischer Traum. Super geräumig auf einem wundervollen großen Grundstück. Die Kinder konnten sich austoben und der Pool war noch die Kirsche auf der Torte. Es super zentral gelegen, Florenz, Pisa, Siena usw alles in einer Stunde erreichbar. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten nur 5 Minuten entfernt. Die Gastgeber sind äußerst freundlich und niemals aufdringlich gewesen. Bei Fragen oder Anliegen waren sie sofort hilfsbereit und haben sich die allergrößte Mühe gegeben unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Sie sind niemals unangemeldet vorbei gekommen und haben auch immer erst geklingelt. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Danke für alles.

Nous avons passés 2 super semaines à la villa il grillo, tout était parfait, la maison est proche des lieux touristiques, magasins,.... La maison est très bien équipée. Les propriétaires sont super serviables, disponibles et très gentils. Un tout grand merci à eux. Je recommande à 100% Abbiamo trascorso 2 settimane fantastiche a Villa Il Grillo, tutto è stato perfetto, la casa è vicina a luoghi turistici, negozi, ecc. La casa è molto ben attrezzata. De grote tuin en het zwembad werden tijdens ons verblijf goed verzorgd. Een schaduwplek is altijd te vinden. Zeer plezierig gastheerschap. Er is veel ruimte in deze villa. Er is keuze uit een hard of zachter bed. Voldoende beddengoed en badhanddoeken aanwezig, thee en keukendoek zelf verzorgen.

Ein traumhaftes Haus in traumhafter Lage

Was soll man sagen: extrem zuvorkommende Vermieter (die sogar klingeln, wenn sie während unseres Aufenthaltes auch nur das Grundstück betreten), die uns jeden Wunsch quasi von den Augen abgelesen haben, ein wunderbarer Pool, der dreimal wöchentlich gereinigt wird, ein Gärtner, der in den 14 Tagen zweimal die Stechmücken beseitigt hat - und das alles ohne unser Zutun. Hier kommen wir gerne wieder hin und genießen die Toskana und deren wunderschöne Städte, die im Umkreis von 50 km liegen. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Wunderschönes Haus mit tollem Ausblick und schönem Pool

Wir waren zwei Wochen in der Villa Il Grillo und haben uns sofort sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Bei Problemen waren sie immer sofort zur Stelle und versuchten immer umgehend zu helfen. Der Pool ist toll gelegen mit einem schönen Blick durch die hohen Bäume - fast wie bei einem Infinity Pool. Er wurde dreimal die Woche von einem gereinigt und wir konnten jeden Tag ausgiebig der Hitze entkommen. Das Örtchen San Miniato ist auch sehr schön. Eine typische toskanische kleine Altstadt auf einem Hügel gelegen mit einer fantastischen Aussicht und schönen Restaurants. Auch im Hinblick auf Ausflüge ist das Haus günstig gelegen. Über die FI-PI-LI-Schnellstraße erreicht man sehr gut Florenz, Pisa, die Strände von Livorno. Klare Empfehlung! Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen!

Nice, clean house

The house is clean, the pool is nice. We enjoyed overall. The owner went through all the details and recommended some very good restaurants on the check in day. The location is good and it's easy to locate the property. San Miniato is a beautiful small town with good restaurants. The best steer meat I have ever tried.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Alles war sehr sauber und großzügig. Das Grundstück ist ein Traum und wurde auch 3 mal wöchentlich von einem Gärtner gepflegt inkl des großen Pool. Die Vermieter waren immer erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
