Perfect!

We enjoyed our stay very much!!! Dave and Regina were so thoughtful and put out stuffed toy cats for our daughter to play with while we were there, which she loved! I highly recommend this rental!

Fabulous stay in San Francisco

My friends and I were attending an art workshop on south east side of SF. I went straight to VRBO to look for a place to stay(my property is listed with VRBO as well) We found Regina's home...and it was perfect. Great SF Rental

Loved our stay here! Not only was the apartment just as advertised, but it actually far exceeded our expectations in comfort, style and the hospitality of the owners. Regina and Dave have thoughtfully anticipated everything a traveler might need and have equipped the the apartment very well to really make it feel like a home away from home. They have done an amazing job at stocking the kitchen and the pantry, provide ample linen/towels and make themselves available to meet any needs the renter may have. The comfort and service here is truly exceptional. Highly recommend!

AMAZING CITY, AMAZING PROPERTY

We had a wonderful first visit to San Francisco. Regina and Dave are fabulous property owners. Easy communication. Being newbies, Dave gave us a crash course in getting around the city. We had our two sons with us and it was wonderful having 2 "living areas" for the evenings when we were in. My husband and I enjoyed the fireplace and the boys enjoyed the tv room. Thank you so much for a great stay.

Beautiful and Comfortable Home

I stayed in this beautiful home with my wife and daughter on the last week of April when we traveled to SF. The home is beautifully decorated, reflecting the owner's taste; two large living rooms are very spacious; the beds are very comfortable; the entire house is very clean, it has everything we need. The location is perfect, very quiet, but close to everywhere. Regina is super nice and very easy to deal with, we appreciate her help. We all enjoyed our stay, will definitely come back again when next time we visit SF. Thank you Regina for sharing your beautiful home!

Lovely place

The apartment was absolutely fab with lots of space, sparkingly clean, comfortable beds and bedding. Very well stocked with coffee, tea, spices etc. Regina and Dave ever so helpful and welcoming, a bottle of wine and chocolate eggs were a nice touch. The neighbourhood is quiet with shops and eateries only a few blocks away, and BART a 10 min walk. Our daughter found 2 great playparks nearby, so she was happy too. I took morning walks to various hilltops and Glen Park Canyon. Parking was easy, the only niggle was the difficulty of negotiating the complicated intersections with the local streets, highway 208 and San Jose Ave, but that is only if you have a car, which you don't really need at this location. Our family would definately stay here again!

A well kept apt, very caring host ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a beautiful apt, well kept, very neat. The owners put their heart into the property and everything was clear and well thought for. They gave us a bottle of wine and a plateful fruit bars as welcome gift. They gave us a good tour to explain every details of the apt. Yes, it is a large apt, one large living room, one large family room. On-street parking was indeed available for the times we came back and needed one. It was our biggest concern before our trip. But, it turned out that parking was OK: we were able to find one within 20-100 yards. We definitely will rent again when we travel to this area.

Exquisite and Spacious SF Gem

This apartment is the jewel of our VRBO experiences. We stayed for 2 1/2 months while in San Francisco, and it felt like home. In fact, it was almost better than home and we were sad to leave. There are so many highlights for why we recommend this listing: 1) it was the cleanest apartment we've stayed in. 2) we were welcomed by Regina and Dave with a gift of wine and light refreshments for us upon our arrival.3) Regina and Dave are the loveliest most accommodating landlords ever (they live in the upstairs apartment) 4) The 2 bedroom apartment itself was heavenly in its comfort: the best beds for sleeping; well-equipped kitchen, large shared laundry room and 2 living rooms 5) The location in Glen Park was excellent, quiet yet close to everything; and we always found a parking spot out front. We were walking distance to the Bart station and Canyon Market for groceries, as well as some of the most scrumptious restaurants, including: Le P'tit Laurent, Manzoni, and Win Garden. And the most delightful bookstore, Bird & Beckett Books that features live jazz on weekends. We had several guests stay with us and each guest was amazed by this gorgeous accommodation, especially the sweet kitchen that is like out of a magazine spread. The apartment is bright and airy; and the master bedroom has a window seat that looks out at the most delightful fruit tree. We miss staying here already and want to return the next time we visit SF. Thanks for everything, Regina and Dave!

perfect and wonderful

What to say! From start to finish, 260 Whitney and Dave & Regina have been superlative!!! Every questions we had, Regina promptly answered. We were given resources for planning our stay with tips on where to go and how to get around. We arrived early and Dave welcomed us and let us use the restrooms and drop our bags off while the apartment was getting ready. We explored Glen Park while waiting which is a fabulous little village. It's very safe and has many restaurants with seriously great eating!! The grocery store, canyon market, has anything you'd need - it's beautiful. Quaint bookstore that was offering live jazz music and wine, a wonderful bakery - which we visited most days walking down the hill to catch the Bart. Once we arrived, there was a very organized and informative binder that Dave reviewed with us about the apartment and more on how to navigate the city as well as nearby places in Glen Park and public transportation, and other useful bits of information. The apartment was spotless. Exactly as it was described. So cozy, so homey, so quiet. And did I say spotless!! It had everything you needed to get going - starter coffee, fresh condiments, shampoo and conditioner, detergent for laundry, and a gracious bottle of wine... even a bowl of homemade muffins from Regina. The beds are extremely comfy number beds, there were ample sheets and towels. A very well stocked kitchen. We used the fireplace every night - there were great books and area guides and maps to use, cards to play. If you're so inclined, the second living room has a well connected tv/netflix system. It was very roomy with more than enough space for our family of 4. The area is quiet and safe. And it was so easy to get in and out of the city. We had hesitations about not staying right in the city - and if you also have that concern - don't. Once you walk down the hill (past the bakery) and get to the Bart, you are literally 5-10 minutes from union square or the embarcadero/ferry building (the last city stop). The Bart was very easy to use and we always felt safe. We also used the city bus and Lyft. We were so happy to come back to 260 after such long days of walking and adventuring in the crowded city. Coming home to 260 was like coming home!! And I can't say enough about how kind & informative Dave and Regina were throughout the entire process. This is a one of a kind find. We can't thank you enough for sharing your home!! We hope to return soon!

Immaculate Apartment in Great Neighborhood

Large, bright, quiet, very well-maintained and clean apartment within walking distance of many local services and transportation. Unit was exactly as photos portrayed. Great internet service, comfortable furniture and Sleep Number beds and full kitchen. Unit was stocked with everything you could need and all areas were labeled very clearly for easy access. Beautiful rental property in a nice and quite, but still close to the downtown SF city location

This is a really excellent choice for a family that wants additional space to relax and unwind after a day of sight seeing while still being very close to the downtown SF area. The owners make this seem like a second home for you rather than a rental as they truly provide everything you could need during your visit including stocked kitchen, bathroom and linens. We took advantage of eating breakfast every morning at the apartment and had two dinners there as well. The beds were very comfortable and the fact that you could adjust the firmness to each person's liking was a definite plus. The apartment was spotless when we arrived and the few times we had questions, our hosts quickly replied helping us make decisions regarding travels routes into the city. Both the BART and MUNI train systems are very close by so unless you really have plans to travel by car outside the city I would avoid getting a car. We did find on street parking every day but it can be a challenge if you get back after 6 PM. Another major plus was the washer and dryer in the unit (with supplied detergent). For a family of 4 this was a huge plus, allowing us to only take carry on luggage on our flights, while also minimizing the laundry pile upon our arrival home. The property is south of the downtown area and close to the major highways, but only takes about 30 mins (including walking to the train stop) to get downtown. This also made traveling to and from the airport a breeze. If we make it back to SF we will definitively be looking to rent this unit again. Lovely home in wonderfull neighborhood!

My friend and I stayed for three weeks with our two 12 year old daughters who were attending a ballet intensive downtown. This home was perfect. Very calm and serene. After a long day downtown we got back to a quiet and safe neighborhood close to other very cool neighborhoods whichever direction you decide to walk or drive. I loved venturing out each day to walk the city. Close by are neighborhoods, Noe Valley, Glen Park, Bernal Heights and the Mission. If you want to go downtown, walk down the hill to take Bart(rapid transit). Regina was away most of the time, but Dave was available if we needed anything and very kind and helpful. We had a such a great experience. Our girls LOVED staying at Whitney St. and we would definitely do it again! Thank you Dave and Regina!

An amazingly, wonderful apartment and hosts

My stay at this Glen Park apartment was wonderful from the time I inquired about the apartment to when I checked out. I have rented quite a few places through HomeAway and this one proved to be the gem. I had many questions about the rental as I was not from the US, and unfamiliar with the Bay Area. Regina responded to each question and request I had with patience and dedication. The host was very responsive even some 5 months before the rental date and throughout the time we spent at the apartment. My family and I were welcomed with a nice sign on the door, much to the delight of my sons. As promised the host met us at the door of the apartment to welcome us and even helped with the many pieces of luggage we dragged with us. Dave showed us the different parts of the apartment and highlighted the hey things we needed to know. He would send emails giving suggestions on what the boys could do and since I rented a car, he reminded me about the shifting the car on select days they needed to clean the street. Bottom line is that I have never rented a place where the hosts were so invested in helping and welcoming their guests. We really felt well-taken cared of. The apartment had everything we needed but over and above that the hosts attended to us if we needed anything else. The apartment is as beautiful as in the pictures. Its huge, with 2 nice sized bedrooms, 2 living rooms and a kitchen large enough for meals. When we arrived the apartment was spotless. There wasn't a speck of dust and the kitchen was almost like brand new. We were amazed that the hosts had included some basic foodstuff in the fridge - butter, half & half - as well as a cupboard full of condiments plus coffee and tea. From my experience, this is not the norm. They provided abundant, clean, soft towels, high quality body soap and shampoo, and even a hair-dryer! The beds were amazingly comfortable with lots of pillows and extra blankets if you needed it. There is a washer and dryer too with detergent, bleach and stain remover if you need it! TV came via the internet and we did have problems here and there but Dave assisted when we got stuck. The apartment did have ample instructions throughout on how to work things. This is a great apartment to rent. Its quiet and in a safe neighborhood. Public transport, groceries are within walking distance. You do need to walk uphill and downhill but that is San Francisco. Thanks to Regina and Dave for being amazing hosts!

Beautiful and spacious with all the comforts of home.

This property is very well maintained. It is obvious that Regina and Dave pay attention to detail. The newly refurbished kitchen in retro 50's decor is awesome. They provide all the kitchen gadgets anyone needs as well as the basic condiments , tea, coffee etc. There are two very comfortable living rooms. One has many books for an avid reader. The other has a large screen tv with many options for viewing. The two bedrooms are large with comfortable bedding. It's location is ideal. I certainly recommend this property for anyone visiting San Francisco.

Very comfortable, quiet place, private, great hosts - good access to city

Dave & Regina are very gracious hosts and were very responsive to all our needs. Just as important is the comfort of this flat. It is very quiet, peaceful. A good place to recover or just spend time. Most places in SF have stairs to contend with, this is no exception, but there are only 12 or so interior steps to the flat with a strong handrail. My elderly father managed them fine, though not exactly equipped for disabled access, it proved to be spacious & accessible with comfortable seating, wide hallways & doorways for maneuvering a walker. Bathroom is separate from toilet- and is situated such that a person with limited mobility could easily manage. We brought our own grab-bars. The fireplace was appreciated and the overall ambience warm & inviting throughout the flat. We were initially worried a bit about parking- but really had no problem for the entire 3 weeks of our stay. Dave was careful to let us know of street sweeping schedules & any parking spaces available. We had a 4wd Ford - which was at times a bit too much for narrow streets- but the locals are patient and we always made it thru tight spots. Sm cars wood be easier- The flat is on the edge of Noe Valley & the Mission district- with major grocery & drugstores within reasonable walking distance. Local cafés etc also available. The J Church transit line runs down to the Embarcadero - it's a 10 minute walk (downhill) to catch the public transit. We recommend the La Ciccia Sardinian- Italian Restaurant on Church near Whitney St. And Fresca, Peruvian place across from Whole Foods market on 24th St. Of course delivery is possible from many restaurants if you do not feel like cooking in the small but well equipped kitchen. It has adequate appliances, dishes, cookware, condiments & basic spices . The marble floor in the kitchen has no mercy for falling glassware (I broke one- sorry Dave! - forgot to mention). Church St produce a short walk away (a little uphill coming back) is very handy for basics like dairy, eggs, fruit, veg, tea , etc Overall we had peace of mind in this friendly, quiet, safe neighborhood during our time in SF.

Incredible place with fantastic hosts

My family and I just relocated to SF from the east coast and we stayed with Dave and Regina for a month while we secured long term housing. Dave and Regina were fabulous hosts. They welcomed us to the city and to their beautiful flat. We have twin 16 month old boys and prior to our arrival they checked in with us to learn more about what might make our stay easier or more comfortable with babies. When we arrived a gate in front of the stairs was in place, a changing station set up, whole milk in the fridge and many other helpful and extremely thoughtful details to make us feel at home and more comfortable with toddlers running around. Throughout our stay Dave and Regina were available and extremely helpful- answering any question or addressing any need (from helping us find a pediatrician when the boys got sick to making sure we were settled in and didn't have questions with flat- the entertainment system, etc). Regina also has a lot of local knowledge and we learned a lot about attractions, hikes, transportation and the city from her and from a binder they have created with fun and helpful information for guests. In addition to all the accommodations made especially on our behalf and being extremely responsive, the flat was beautiful. It receives a lot of natural light, the space was immaculate, and the kitchen fully stocked and ready with condiments and spices for cooking. The beds are also extremely comfortable. The location was fantastic. We love glen park- it has a great little center with cafes, playgrounds, and a bart station that is a quick ride to downtown. It was ideal for us as a family. Without hesitation we would recommend friends and family to stay here in the future and we look forward to keeping in touch with Dave and Regina.

Best VRBO rental to date

We’ve been using VRBO for years and this was our best rental to date!!! The owner met us upon arrival to share key items about the apartment. They left us a nice note with a bottle of wine as we were two couples celebrating a big anniversary. The owners thought of everything and the house is well equipped with everything you’d need, even things you would not expect. For example, our friend forgot a razor. Come to find out there were extras in the bathroom drawer. The fridge was stocked with essential condiments. The beds and pillows were so comfortable and the towels high quality. The location was amazing… very near Twin Peaks and walkable to grocery store and restaurants. Parking on the street was easy, and the place was immaculate and so well decorated. We will rent again if ever in the area. This place is a 10 out of 10 as are the owners!!!

Beautiful Apartment For Family Visit

We were in San Francisco to visit family during the summer, and first began browsing hotel accommodation. The prices of the hotels were absolutely ridiculous considering there is no included breakfast or use of amenities in some hotels. We had come to the conclusion that this apartment would give us extra room which is always helpful, but most of all, this apartment was decorated luxuriously and tastefully appointed. The location of the apartment was perfect for our situation. The beautiful, safe neighborhood of Glen Park is located in the city of San Francisco and yet is close to the highways leading out of it, making it very accessible to visit family outside the city. The city is much easier to access using BART, and I definitely recommend it as it is not expensive and saves the hassle of parking downtown. Parking in Glen Park however is easy, and we often found parking right in front of the apartment. Now, more about the apartment and its owners; Dave and Regina are the most caring and helpful hosts we could've asked for, they went above and beyond in helping us with all of our questions, and personal needs. The apartment has two bedrooms with sleep by number beds (one could adjust how soft or firm they would like their bed), the mattresses were very comfortable of course. The living rooms are furnished beautifully and retain the amazing charm of a 1920's San Francisco style apartment. The kitchen was the undisputed highlight for us, it was furnished with all modern features yet retained this amazing atmosphere of a vintage kitchen complete with an original sink from 1928. It really couldn't have been better, and although we won't be back (assuming we will not be in San Francisco anytime soon), I would like to thank the owners for the fantastic stay and definitely recommend this apartment as a perfect fit for a family visit or occasion in San Francisco.

We were so happy to have found this lovely apartment, not least because it was on the same street as my sister's place. We are a family of four and found this apartment to be spacious with everything one could desire: beautiful decor, exceptional cleanliness, fab location, huge digital TV, and even a washer and dryer. The bottle of wine left by the hosts was a welcoming touch. Our only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer!

Fabulous SF rental!

We spent a splendid two weeks in this gorgeous, extremely comfortable apartment. Glen Park was a totally charming neighborhood, amazingly convenient to the BART and all the sites of the city. Regina and Dave were the perfect hosts, leaving snacks, fruit, and wine in the apartment for our late arrival, interacting as much or as little as we wished or had time for, tending to any little problems we had. We ended up wishing we could just move in and have them as part of our friend circle. There's a great coffee place, bakery, market, and restaurants on the way to the BART. We'd do it again in a heartbeat. Many thanks to Regina and David, we look forward to seeing them again.

Mother/Daughter Vacation

My 3 daughters, my son (who lives close by) and I arrived at the apartment Saturday evening. It was our first mother/daughter vacation together. Regina met us there (she and Dave live upstairs). She gave us the grand tour and explained everything we needed to know about the place. Due to the shortage of water in California, she explained about conserving water and also about the recycling situation. The place was just like it was advertised. We hardly used the living room that had the fireplace. We spent most of the time when we were home, watching movies or cooking in the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable. I slept better than I have for a long time. Bart is close by (public transportation) but we rented a car. There was only one day we had to drive around the block a few times to find a parking place. The only other problem is the street cleaners. They have signs up for when you have to move your car. Regina reminded us on Monday to move our car which we did. On Wednesday was the opposite side of the street and we didn't know that. The sign is covered up by the tree in front of the apartment, so we got a ticket. And it is $66. I wasn't too happy about that. When we arrived in San Francisco, the weather was very cold and windy. It was that way most of the time we were there. Dave felt bad for us so he left two vases of beautiful flowers on our doorstep to "bring a little sunshine" to us. Dave was always leaving notes for us if he was concerned about something. I really appreciated that. He is very sweet and kind. I wished we had had more towels and wash rags. We had to wash more often to have clean ones. The apartment is close to a Safeway store about 10-15 min. away. There are also little shops you can go to not far from the apartment. I am glad I found this place. It is only 5-10 min. from my son's house. So we were all able to spend the week together having a great time. I would definitely recommend staying here and when we take our next trip to San Francisco, this is where we will stay. Thank you Regina and Dave for such a nice place stay in and for your hospitality.

REGINA AND DAVE WERE AWESOME AND I WOULD RECOMEND THERE HOUSE TO EVERYONE. IF MY TRAVELS EVER TAKE ME TO SAN FRANCISCO I WILL STAY AT REGINA AND DAVE'S HOUSE.

Great place, great service, great experience!

My family lives in the area & we recently had a baby boy. We literally could not squeeze another family member in our small house - so needed to find somewhere close to house the additional family members visiting us from out of town. Fortunately, I found the listing in Glen Park, just down the street, and took the chance to rent the apartment unseen. Well, I am so happy we chose the Whitney apartment. Regina is amazing. I told her that my family kept kosher so wouldn't be able to use the utensils or plates in the kitchen. She went out of her way to buy paper goods so they would have something to use during their stay. Moreover, she gave us a bottle of kosher wine to celebrate the birth of our baby. So thoughtful. The apartment was perfect. Very spacious and comfortable. I plan to rent the apartment again at our next big family outing.

One of the nicest VRBO apartments we've ever rented!

We have family living in Glen Park and wanted to stay close by on our recent visit for Thanksgiving. This apartment is immaculate, roomy with comfortable furniture, and within easy walking distance to Bart and public transportation. The delightful kitchen is fully equipped. The bathroom is separated to a shower and sink in one room and a toilet and sink in the other, which was perfect for three adults getting ready for the day. The apartment even has the convenience of a laundry room just off the kitchen. Pictures show the beauty of the house! Glen Park is a busy, safe neighborhood with a beautiful park, convenient grocery store and several restaurants. We have never felt the need to rent a car while staying there. Regina is the perfect hostess. She has made up booklets for guests on what to see and do in San Francisco, where to eat, directions, and all the necessary information on the house. She gave us a walk-thru on arrival to explain everything. She is immediately available on email. We will definitely return to this apartment!
