Our house is a 'Chartreuse', an old style mansion, located in the most charming part of sunny Perigord in the neighbourhood of Belvés, classified officially as "One of the most villages of France". It was founded in the XIth Century, but most of the house is XVIIth Century. We live on the property. Your house is adjacent to ours but completely independent.

It has been entirely refurbished, in order to provide high standard comfort. The restoration has been managed so that not only the local style, but also the material used preserves and enhances its history, while introducing all modern comfort. Plastered walls, apparent beams, poplar wood ceiling, chestnut tree wood floors in. The view has been granted the "Batiments de France" label - reward reserved to the best buildings in the country. It is located up a hill, in a 14 ha (35 acres) estate, which will offer you a peaceful stay in a picturesque environment.
No automobile traffic around
There is a swimming pool (13X5 m) in the property, a golf course (18 holes) five minutes away, tennis, horse-riding, canoeing possibilities in the neighbourhood

The garden and pool are accessible to all, and there is a covered terrace with view onto the valley, where to take delight in watching the sunset. Teak garden furniture also available. The house has heating for the cooler months. And the 3-foot thick walls keep the house cool in warmer weather. The owners live in the main building.
