LA BARONNIE (4 people + 2 in mezzanine) with shared private pool.
Classified 2 *
With its different levels of housing, this authentic Perigord house of about 120 m2 consists of 1 open kitchen with dining room, 1 living room, 1 bathroom (sink, shower, bidet and wc), 1 large bedroom (1 double bed), 2 bedrooms, 1 mezzanine (4 single beds).
The terrace, under awning, allows to take the meals outside enjoying a nice view on the surrounding countryside ... and sun until sunset.
It can be rented with one or the other of the neighboring lodgings Le Pigeonnier for 4 persons 40 m2 approximately, or La Petite Baronnie, 2/4 persons 55 m2 approximately.
The pool, well exposed, for family use, is shared between vacationers 3 cottages (The Pigeon, The Little Baronnie, The Baronnie) and owners.
The pool of 5m x 10m, is secured by 1 audible alarm (fall detector) meeting the standards in force. A semi-sliding shelter (except in July and August) preserves the temperature of the water and allows bathing from May to October.
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION :
LA BARONNIE benefits from a privileged situation, between Dordogne and Vézère:
Close to the small village of Audrix (alt 220m), near the Gouffre de Proumeyssac (alt 165m), amazing beauty, just 3 km from Bugue-sur-Vézère (alt 63m) -all shops- crosses the Vézère, 8 km from Saint-Cyprien where runs, not far, the Dordogne, 9 km from the promontory of Limeuil escarpée, confluence of these two rivers, 13 km from Les Eyzies with its national museum and its International Pole Prehistory, 25 km from the medieval city of Sarlat, 40 km from the facsimile of Lascaux-Montignac and 45 km from Périgueux - old capital of Périgord - rich in Gallo-Roman remains, or Bergerac, vineyards famous.
It is an ideal stop in Périgord Noir, "Cradle of Humanity", to shine in the Sarladais, to discover its numerous sites, to admire its varied and varied landscapes, and also to taste the local gastronomy. It is also the country of foie gras and confit, truffle and cepe, walnut and chestnut, strawberry and wine.
By choosing one of our gites for your stay, you will discover the village of Audrix, nearby, built on the hill, between Dordogne and Vézère, its small Romanesque church of the 12th century and its peasant market with its bread oven . It is in this context that, every Saturday-evening of the summer, a farmers' market invites you to take place at its Tablées nocturnes and to savor the local products cooked before your eyes, in a festive and convivial atmosphere.
Prehistory, omnipresent, has left many deposits, caves and ornate shelters, clusters ... and history, an infinite variety of bastides and villages (some classified among the beautiful France), an abundance of castles and mansions, a multitude of abbeys and churches, and many museums and gardens ...
For relaxation, distractions, satisfying all ages, do not miss: many hiking trails, mountain biking, leisure parks, adventure trail, canoeing, swimming, fishing, horse riding, ballooning, microlight or helicopter, climbing , golf, tennis, library, cinema ....
And for the pleasure of the evenings of a music lover, many festivals invest castles and churches.
The Logbook available to you contains instructions and useful information about the house and the pool to spend, with family or friends, a pleasant and carefree stay.
A rich and varied documentation, left to your attention, will guide you in choosing your outings to discover what this little corner of the Périgord Noir and its immediate surroundings have the best to offer you. Your interests, your tastes, your affinities will guide the schedule of your holidays.
