Great condo, clean, and well appointed. Nice mountain views. Beyond owners control there was maintenance being done to condo’s next door so some extra noise during daytime. Worth noting this condo is at 10,200 feet of elevation and can be challenging to somebody used to lower altitudes.Overall it was a nice enjoyable place to stay. Very quiet at night.

Great location and beautiful view

Love the location and the view for a condo here is beautiful. The place was nice and well stocked. It’s nicely decorated and looks recently updated with a warm feeling that’s cozy and relaxing. The owners were very nice and easy to work with. They were fast to respond to messages and very accommodating. We will definitely stay here again.

Great escape!

Such a lovely condo! The host provides everything you need. Bring a few groceries and you don’t have to leave! Walking distance to The Bavarian (or ski lifts if you’re looking to go skiing!)

Awesome as always!

We love staying in this condo. It is immaculately clean and the owners have thought of everything. There is a lovely kitchen and lounge area with a cozy gas fireplace, and a luxurious bathroom off the main bedroom. But it’s the location and the view from the large deck of the entire Kachina basin that can’t be beat. We will definitely be staying again!

Perfect Get Away

This property is right in the mountains. Wake up and watch the sun rise over the mountain while sipping your coffee and hot cocoa. The condo was stocked with everything you could ever need from shampoo and conditioner, hair dryer, towels, blankets galore, to all the cooking utensils you may need. It was such an amazing get away for my husband and I!

Wonderful condo

We enjoyed our stay here. It was very clean and very well stocked. The condo had great views and was within walking distance to the Bavarian restaurant and the lifts. Our 3 year old had a blast playing in all the snow! And the heated garage was a welcomed bonus! We recommend this condo.

Fun family ski vacation

This property was the perfect place for our long ski weekend. A really nice condo that is conveniently located close to lift 4. The unit has heated garage which was a perfect place to get in and it of ski gear. The kitchen is well equipped. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout.The views from the unit are spectacular. Even my teenage son commented on how great it was. Highly recommend.

Impossible views, impossibly clean and impossibly well appointed

We had a wonderful stay in this condo for our weekend participating in the Bull of the Woods Half Marathon. The condo was the perfect place for getting to the start line and for recuperating afterwards. The condo has everything you would ever need and was super clean. The bathrooms are elegant with soaking tubs and the kitchen has everything to make a great meal. The cozy living room and gas fireplace took the chill away after the rain started. And you won’t believe the views and solitude from the condo’s patio. Kachina basin is spread out before you - beautiful and peaceful - whether you have a cup of coffee or glass of wine in your hand. We will definitely stay here again!

We Summitted!!

We summitted three mountain hikes while at this property that was super convenient, very modern, well stocked and had everything we needed to live and cook. It was very nice to have available an empty garage to park our truck. Also, trash bins to transfer the house garbage into which they took care of removing in the end. Very grateful. We are so glad the owners recommended stopping at the grocery store before arriving. Their instructions and information was explicit, covered so much and easy to follow. We decided to extend our stay a couple of nights which were available. The owners were very pleasant to work with!! If we are back up that way, we would want this place to stay in again. Also, they allowed our two dachshunds who were very comfortable and enjoyed the grounds.

5-Star Experience ⭐️

At 10,000 feet ASL, it’s a true mountain getaway. We escaped the Texas heat and enjoyed a week at this property. The condo is CLEAN, well-equipped, the owners are very thoughtful, and it’s the perfect base to explore all that Taos has to offer. Directly across from the Williams Lake & Wheeler Peak parking lot (trailhead), the location couldn’t be any better for hikers. My favorite part of each day was reading scripture and drinking coffee on the balcony while watching the hummingbirds feed. The grill was perfect for our dinners and we enjoyed games and movies each night. You are on a mountain, so plan accordingly. Most groceries are purchased in town and hauled up the mountain. Smith’s grocery was great as a one stop shop. Make sure to check out Taos Fly Shop if you fish, Far Flung Adventures for white water rafting (recommend a full day Taos Box trip), and a visit to Williams Lake. The roundtrip up to Wheeler Peak (13,161 feet) was awesome and took us 6 hours 16 minutes to complete 💪 Thank you Kyle and Crystal for sharing your mountain home with us. Our family (including our golden retriever), had a 5-star stay. We hope to return during ski season ⛷️

Great condo, great location. Hosts were friendly and helpful, condo was well stocked with lots of the little things most places don’t have (paper plates, ziploc bags, etc.) which was a nice touch. Worked great as a place to hike up Wheeler Peak from, easy walk to the trailhead, the Bavarian, and lift 4.

Kyle and Crystal, along with a few family members, pooled resources to purchase this awesome Taos Ski Valley condo late summer of 2014. We reside in Albuquerque, NM and frequently enjoy the condo.

Why they chose this property

We’ve been skiers for three decades. Taos ski area is large and world class but it has a small town local vibe. There are year round activities up in the valley so we found ourselves looking just as forward to our summer visits. There is nothing like the feel of the warm sun in the cool mountain air. The views of Kachina and Wheeler peak are incredible. From the master suite are views of Gold Hill. The location is spectacular.

What makes this property unique

Use of the owners over sized garage will ease the burden of having to lug your skies, boots, bikes, or gear up to the condo. In the garage you will find a heated space with ample room for your automobile too. No scraping snow and ice off your vehicle upon departure and no worries about locking up your bikes and skies.
