Short walk to the lake, it has a sectioned off area for swimming. Plenty of bedrooms in the home and nice place to relax. The AC was nice since it was hot when we visited.
I rented this home for a sisters getaway. It really is a great space for a relaxing weekend. My sisters noted that the shower curtains had pink mold and the grout needed a good cleaning, thus the 4 stars. The kitchen was well stocked, although the knives could be better with more variety. I would rent again!
Accommodations are great in the gem of a house. Multiple bedrooms was a plus.
Just a heads up, there are steps to get into the front or back door. Not a deal breaker for our group but could be in a few years!
We had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful home for our annual sisters weekend. This year was the Stillwater area. We spent a lot of time here in the mornings and evenings. Nice sized kitchen.
6 college girlfriends getting together to celebrate 50 years since junior college graduation and we had an absolute blast! The house was perfect for us with plenty of room and a great deck where we enjoyed morning coffee and evenings filled with memories and laughter! Highly recommend this house!
My family and I loved staying in this house! It had a wonderful location and was so clean. The house fit our needs perfectly and we adored the front porch. My Mom and I sat out there a lot. The side deck was nice with the umbrella and view of the lake. The kids had plenty of space to play and relax. We walked around the neighborhood every day and down to the beach, the kids didn’t want to leave.
When we come back we would stay here again.
This charming lake home was perfect for our 5 night stay close to Stillwater. Plenty of beds to choose from and a comfortable environment to enjoy family time. The dining room was key to our memorable family game enjoyment.
Our family of six adults & one child had a great stay. The location was great for the things we wanted to do and having the lake so close was wonderful. Jane has easy to work with and gave us lots of tips for things to do. Would recommend!
Our family really enjoyed staying at this property! It is a beautiful home that sits in the middle of a family-friendly neighborhood and is within walking distance of two beaches. There was plenty of room in the house for our entire family (all 8 of us!). The host responded quickly to any questions. We're already looking at dates to come back!

Great place for a family gathering
An historic house on a peaceful and quiet street. The house has a very large front room, dining room and kitchen. These worked well for our family members from different states as we talked and spent time together. The house is a cute, historic bungalow that has been remodeled to have modern amenities. The gardens are nice and it is conveniently located for our needs.

Great!
My family had a wonderful time at Jane's White Bear Lake House. The house was comfortable and had plenty of space to accommodate gatherings with our local Minnesota relatives. Jane checked in with us during the week to make sure we had everything we needed and even helped us rent a kayak and paddle board for our kids to use on the lake. We hope to return again!
Older home but everything functioned well. Plenty of comfortable beds. Kitchen was well stocked. Very clean and comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood. I missed the note about laundry facilities when booking, so just be aware that you only have access if staying more than 5 days (kind of annoying with traveling with 4 kids and packing assuming I would have access). Would definitely stay again if visiting same area.
We enjoyed our girl’s retreat at this lovely home. Everything was tidy. The property is surrounded by greenery. It was an easy walk to the lake. The only thing that might improve it would be better lighting. It’s an old home, and outlets are few and far between. This would not stop me from renting here again, but it is dark inside. Such a cute place!!
Jane, the homeowner, was great to work with. House was clean and well appointed with dishes, linens and games for the kids. Nice living room TV with Roku for movies. High speed internet/wifi for all the devices to hook up worked flawlessly. House is pretty good size to fit all the kids. In spite of road construction near our stay Jane was very accommodating to make sure we had everything we needed and easy access to the property. The quaint lakeside neighborhood was great. One block away to a hidden public beach that we had virtually all to ourselves each day. Would highly recommend and would stay again.
We were so pleased with our stay at this cozy home. We enjoyed the wood details throughout the home, the heated floor in the kitchen, and the space the house provided. The only thing we were disappointed with was not having access to the washer and dryer during our stay. They are only provided if you stay for 7 nights or longer. We were there for 6 nights and I thought there would be an exception since I inquired directly. Thankfully my aunt and uncle don't live far and they let us use their washer and dryer. Otherwise, a wonderful stay and Jane was quick to respond. Thankful to be able to make so many memories together!
We enjoyed our stay very much. There was some confusion when we got there because the driveway where you park is on the street behind the house, not in the front. The house is well stocked, large and homey. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on each floor. A couple of the mattresses are a bit saggy. The living room is spacious and comfortable, and there is a Roku and high-speed internet. The outside decks could use some maintenance, but there is a deck with a patio set, a fairly flat yard and lovely gardens on the edges of the property. It is about a block walk to the neighborhood beach. A big beach and park is about two miles from the house. We would definitely book it again.
It was great, wish I would have gotten more information like the log in for TV. We tried to warm thing up to find out the fireplace was not a functioning fireplace. On thursday evening there was a knock that appeared to be on a window, scared us to death ended up being a delivery service for some luggage after we we got up the courage to go out on the porch. Went out later and all of sudden it was gone which meant someone came up to the door and grabbed it. Also the light in the kitchen was flickering when on, I am thinking there is a short problem so never left it on in fear of a fire hazzard. (The hanging light by patio door). It was nothing really really bad. My biggest reason for the 4 starts is the couch really needs replacing. It is really wore out and not comfotable to sit on. Thank hyou.
Jane's place had plenty of room for us to visit. We stayed here for our high school girls get together. We sat on the deck to catch up with each other. The dining room table was the perfect spot to play cards! There are plenty of beds. The home has beautiful wood work and furnishings. We took a walk down to the beach to watch the sunset! So glad we found this rental!
