About this property

Feels-like-home but on the beach

When away from home, it is essential to feel as relaxed as possible and we believe you will be at Palacio de Baja.

Newly remodeled kitchen, complete with dishwasher and drinkable water. Newly painted. Large screen smart TV with Direct TV. You are invited to log into your streaming services.

The rooms are spacious and the furnishings are comfortable, generous and tasteful. The master bedroom sleeps up to five, with one king size bed, and one bunk with full on bottom and twin on top. The second bedroom sleeps up to four with a queen size bed, and two twin size beds.

The Dining Room has a beautifully handcrafted table and eight chairs, in a well-lit space.

There are two bathrooms with tiled showers, and decorated to reflect the culture.

On the patio, relax with a good book on a comfortable lounge chair and bask in the sunlight or sit under the umbrella. Two stand-up paddleboards are supplied.

The newly remodeled kitchen is fully stocked, includes a dishwasher and overlooks the beach (there is no better way to cook!)

There is an outdoor fire ring where you can enjoy the clear view of the stars and the city lights of Ensenada in the distance.

La Bufadora is a 5 mile drive down the road where you can enjoy beautiful views, shopping and fabulous food. Ensenada is a 20 minute drive north where you can enjoy more fabulous food, shopping, and a visit to the fish market.

There are outdoor cameras monitoring the entrances to the property.

Harry Potter has the Room of Requirements, but we have this diamond in the sand. Everything about our stay was aces. We been coming to Punta Banda for 17 years (staying in different houses), but this home is head and shoulders above the rest. Looking forward to next year's stay.

Simply Amazing

We enjoyed this beautiful house on our 4 night stay. Equipped with all the essentials, felt right at home. Found the location to be very convenient. Mini Mart store and food stands a few minutes drive. Horse rides and quad motorcycle rentals even at walking distance. Amazing views and beautiful beach. Host was very kind and willing to help with any questions we had. Definitely 5 stars!!

The house was absolutely amazing. It is way bigger than in the pictures. Everything we needed was provided plus more. The house was very clean and had very beautiful views of the beach. My family and I had a great time. We’re definitely booking again next time we visit!

I will like to go back to you property which is one of the kind, very completely with all you need, for a great stay at the beach very beautiful. The person in charge very nice and helpful person, but I’m so sorry to tell you this, the property is infected with bed bags all family came out with several bed bags bites . Great location! We love Punta Banda and this was our 5th year returning. A different house each time and this was the best so far. Well stocked with everything, comfortable beds, a real home away from home. Hope to come back next year.

This house was very nice! It had everything we needed. There were a couple of nights that we opted to sleep in the living room just to get the sea breeze and have the waves crashing in the background. We used a lot of the blankets. Sorry, Cathy. The location was great! We had the beach to ourselves. The only thing we had to worry about was what we were going to eat. We loved that it was quiet. Just what we wanted since we went there to relax. Cathy was easy to get a hold of. Sadly, there was a beached dolphin in front of the house and it smelled. Cathy took care of it right away. We will definitely keep this house in mind for our next trip back.

Our family enjoyed every minute of it. We had a first timer to vacation in Baja, and she enjoyed it and was not disappointed at all. Looking forward to renting again. House is in an amazing location. The kids are able to just go in. Very private.

Great location needs renovations

We as a family enyoyed the house because of the location in front of the beach. The house was not fully cleaned, the bathroom was dirty, they have ants all over the place. They need some renovations, the lamp was broken. At first we could not start the stove but called the manager and came with new gas. I would hope for the next time if they are charging for a cleaning fee they review the house before so it is clean and has gas. Thanks,

We had such a great time! The house was clean and spacious. Plenty of beds and places to relax. You can’t beat being right in the beach! The recommendations for fresh fish were spot on and La Bufadora is just a short drive down the road. Fun for everyone!

We enjoyed our stay here. The house is a two bedroom two bath home. The layout was comfortable and the rooms were separate. The colors were very nice and the house was well stocked. It's right on the beach. We loved being able to walk outside and enjoy the weather. The only downside was the lack of air circulation in the bedrooms. There was 1 small fan in the master bedroom. It was very fresh outside so most people might be comfortable without the air circulation. Another fan would be my only recommendation.

This is a property owned by our whole big family: Mom and Dad, their three children and their spouses. We are from Orange County and our kids have enjoyed growing up going to PdB.

Why they chose this property

Before we had ever been to Palacio de Baja, Mom was the informal 'rental agent' for the original builder of the property. As payment for handling the rentals she was given time at the house. Gradually we all traveled to Baja and fell in love with the quiet, slow pace of life in Mexico and on the beach.

When the owner was no longer able to care for the property we decided that we would like the opportunity to buy it. After praying together for a time and talking to the owner, we were able to purchase the property in 2004.

We feel very blessed to have PdB for our family to enjoy together. We hope you enjoy it too.

We love going down to PdB. We noticed that we like to spend the first few days sleeping in, taking a nap, laying out, or just lying on the beach. It's a great place to detox from everyday life.

There's nothing like waking up, making a pot of coffee, and sitting outside or walking along the beach while drinking said coffee.

What makes this property unique

The beach is almost private. Rarely is it noisy or congested.
