Ideally located, you can enjoy the countryside´s tranquillity and access the town centre by taking the free river shuttle. Located on the island of Barthelasse (largest fluvial island in Europe and 'green lungs' of Avignon), at the heart of the countryside - ideal for cycling, roller blading and hiking - only 4km away from the historic centre (Palais des Papes, Saint Bénezet bridge, fortification) and the shops - free river shuttle 1 km away to get to the heart of the city, many restaurants, an equestrian centre and a great aqutic complex on the island.

The house, garden and pool are wonderfull. Also, very nice hosts who helped us whenever needed, they were so very kind. The boat to Avignon is 15 min walk, make sure you visit the centre and the palace of the Pope.

Lovely grounds near enough to city for convenience; yet private and peaceful after busy day of sightseeing. Nice clean bathrooms, comfortable beds, efficient and well-stocked kitchen. Owners are friendly and extremely responsive to any requests. Pool and laundry area are really nice ‘extras’. Within walking distance to wonderful restaurants. Highly recommend this roomy French countryside home.

Peace and tranquility within easy reach of Avignon

Our family spent two of the hottest weeks of the year in this beautiful air-conditioned house. The pool was enjoyed by all age groups as was the gazebo close by. Jean Pierre, Celine and their family were always so helpful when needed. We all have very fond memories of a relaxing time spent in an amazing house and garden. Unforgettable for all the Right Reasons

We enjoyed the house and in particular the grounds, including a very unusual hi-tech glass covered pool, perfect for the extremely hot weather we experienced. Our hosts Celine & Jean-Pierre were charming and helpful which helped make our stay very special. There is an excellent bakery, Restaurant Le Bercail (with best views of Pont d'Avignon) and a walk-on ferry all within walking distance of approx <1km. We would certainly recommend it and may return ourselves in the future

Wonderful!

Villa Isis is a wonderful place to stay. Céline and Jean-Pierre were easy to work with and very gracious hosts. We found the villa perfectly situated to explore all of Provence, with kayaking in the Ardeche, Aix-en-Provence, Les Baux, a day at the beach, and of course Avignon within easy reach. The house itself is very comfortable. We had a party of 8 and there was plenty of room for all. The air-conditioned bedrooms were especially comfortable! The kitchen is well-equipped for making meals at home, and we enjoyed eating dinner outside every evening. The pool is clean and well-maintained, plus there is plenty of both sun and shade with the surrounding trees. I highly recommend Villa Isis and hope that we can make it back someday!

Gîte au potentiel gâché par un manque d’entretien, elle ne vaut pas le prix demandé. Point important, le propriétaire vit à l’étage. d’où notre étonnement à l’arrivée.Cuisine équipée d’éléments anciens et pour beaucoup défectueux (poubelle cassée, lave-vaisselle qui fuit, étanchéité du frigo à désirer, et non branché à notre arrivée) manque de rangements dans la cuisine. Douche qui fuit, et ménage à faire en arrivant ! Cependant le parc est agréable et le propriétaire sympathique. La piscine ne s’ouvre que partiellement.En résumé : beau potentiel, entretien insuffisant et prestations très en dessous du tarif demandé.

Lovely Provençal farmhouse. First floor apartment is perfect for a family or friend group.

Belle location, bien pensée, équipements nombreux. Ne pas louer si vous prévoyez un évènement car tout bruit après 23h vous sera reproché par les propriétaires (voisinage).

Du potentiel mais...

Un logement bien placé et avec du potentiel mais dans un peu dans son jus...Les propriétaires sont agréables et accessibles , dommage que nous ayons trouvé le logement pas forcément très propre. Les chambres étaient en mode "déjà occupé" notamment les douches et lavabos pas forcément très propre et la terrasse était rempli d'eau à notre arrivée. Commencer une location en faisant une 1/2 de "ménage" est dommage ; il y a probablement mieux à faire surtout pour le prix demandé !

Cette propriété est magnifique, le jardin, très arboré, splendide et la maison très confortable. Un peu éloignée du centre d'Avignon mais très facile d'accès et au calme. Jean-Pierre et Céline Cervantes sont charmants et nous ont très bien accueillis.

Idéal pour un séjour entre amis

Des installations très appréciées par les petits et les grands. La piscine couverte est un gros plus car il est possible de se baigner peu importe la météo. Le confort est au rendez vous. Nous avons passé un agréable week end !!

La villa est bien située sur l'ile de la barthelasse à 15 minutes de la navette fluviale pour avignon. Elle est au calme, jouit d'un espace extérieur vaste et agreable et d'un équipement complet pour les grands et les petits. Les hôtes ont été accueillants et très réactifs pour répondre à nos demandes.

Accueil chaleureux des propriétaires. Séjour en famille, avec enfants et petits enfants qui ont pu profiter de la grande piscine et des jeux à disposition. Chambres bien équipées avec literies confortables. Cuisine bien équipée, petit bémol : manque de meubles de rangement pour l'épicerie. Le grand parc arboré, la terrasse ombragée et les équipements extérieurs apportent un atout supplémentaire à ce lieu reposant que nous ne manquerons pas de recommander.

Wonderful location

This property is quiet, secure, and a few minutes from Avignon. We took day trips throughout the region and returned to the villa for wine, cheese, olives, bread, and sausage in the evenings. The villa is well maintained and stocked appropriately. Celine and Jean-Pierre were readily available but gave us our privacy.

Wonderul Vacation

My family truly enjoyed our stay at this lovely villa on Barthalese. Our hosts were wonderful. The house was spacious and well equipped, the grounds beautiful. We especially enjoyed evenings on the patio talking and having wine and aperitifs. The villa was also a good home base for our day trips in Provence and was just a short trip via water taxi to Avignon where there are wonderful markets, restaurants, museums and historic sites to visit.

Propriétaire agréable et belle propriété au calme. Chambres bien amménagées avec literies de qualité. Cuisine bien équipée. Salon un peu petit pour 10 personnes. A lovely place to stay in a beautiful location

A lovely place to stay with very welcoming and helpful hosts, the Villa Isis is a great place from which to explore Avignon and take some time to relax by the pool. The house is big and spacious with a kitchen perfect for cooking for lots of people - there were 9 of us and it worked really well. It's also only a ten-minute walk to the ferry that crosses the Rhône and from there a short walk into town. All a wonderful stay!

WE idéal à la Villa Isis

Nous avons passé un week-end simplement parfait à la Villa Isis. L'emplacement est idéal, à 5mn en voiture du centre ville et en même temps dans un cadre totalement dépaysant. Nous étions une dizaine d'amis à avoir été dans ce petit paradis le temps d'un week end entre pétanque, babyfoot et barbecue. Et celà le 1er week end de mars! Malgré les nuits fraîches, les journées étaient vraiment agréables. La maison est très bien équipée et cosy, on s'y sent bien. Chaque chambre étant équipée d'une salle de bain, nous n'avons pas eu de problème de promiscuité. J'étais inquiète du dérangement (par rapport au bruit) que nous aurions pu occasionner mais nous avons pu fêter un anniversaire en musique avec guitares, djembés et voix fortes sans problème. Un grand merci à Céline et Jean-Pierre pour leur accueil et leur disponibilité. Je ne vois pas en quoi ce WE aurait pu être plus parfait.

A wonderful place to see Avignon

A group of 6 friends stayed at this ville for a week in October. It was a wonderful place to stay. It is in a setting that feels very rural, yet was only minutes from downtown Avignon. There were sufficient bathrooms, beds and kitchen facilities. There was a BBQ and pool, although the weather was to cool for that. We would stay there again.
