Cozy and cool

We had a great time here. We booked this spot for Thanksgiving week to get away from home and at the same time avoid unnecessary contact with others. The house has a golf fairway in back which was not being used during our stay so it was basically a nice pretty lawn for us. It is a gated and secure neighborhood that is great for walks. Our dog loved the place too and he seemed right at home. The amenities are great, the mexican decor is beautiful, and we were close to various activities. Communication with Mara was also excellent and she was very responsive when we had an occasional question. On the way home from our trip, my 17 year old thanked us and told us that she really had a good time there. So, if you can make a 17 year old happy, you’re doing pretty good!

Desert wedding

We had a wonderful time at Mara's home. The location was perfect for the wedding we were attending at the Omni hotel. Very quiet and relaxing home.

We are native Californians who enjoy living in San Diego with our 3 kids but love sneaking out to Rancho Mirage whenever we can, to visit family and enjoy some of the beautiful sunshine and dry desert air. The desert has always been a wonderful escape for us. It is impossible not to relax there, with the gorgeous surroundings and views, and countless fun things to do.

Why they chose this property

We adore our condo. The location is ideal in so many ways - proximity to our cul-de-sac's pool, and local highlights, like The River, The Living Desert, El Paseo. We enjoy the hot summer nights playing tennis and late-night swims, finding toads on the golf course and star gazing into the clear dark desert skies. The Rancho Las Palmas Country Club is safe and secure, so the kids can wander, bike, and scooter around safely. This property's proximity to The River is an added bonus. We walk there in the morning for coffee, mid-day for lunch and shopping, and evening for dinner and a movie, (often all on the same day!). The resort is beautifully maintained, people are friendly, and there are lots of amenities, being attached to the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort and Hotel. Just relaxing at the condo can be restorative. it is peaceful, quiet, and gives us a sense of serenity when we spend time there.
