An immaculate escape in the desert

We had a great relaxing family trip at Mary’s condo. The home was the cleanest Vacation rental I have ever been in so we felt comfortable and at home right away. The kitchen had the cooking accessories and cookware to allow us to easily cook at home. The beds were comfortable and Mary has the home nicely decorated with nice furniture. And it’s pet friendly which was great for a long stay. The property is close to many restaurants and supermarkets which was convenient as well. The country club itself has countless pools and hot tubs of which three were less than a two minute walk away. We had them to ourselves every time we went swimming. I would say the only downside which is not a criticism of this rental but of the country club was there was a lot of landscaping going on which was at times noisy. I highly recommend this place as a getaway. Mary was a great host who was totally available to us if needed.

Everything we Expected + More

So many good things - this property is bright and clean and decorated tastefully. Good beds, large bathrooms with plenty of counter space. Comfortable furniture (changed since photo) and lots of lamps (a must!). Patio on the north and courtyard on the south - we enjoyed both depending on the time of day. Two very close pools and hot-tubs (both heated) and we had them to ourselves after dark. Exquisite grounds - I don't know how they do it, it's simply gorgeous. Orange and grapefruit trees all over (we found a picker in the garage :). Lots of pans and dishes, 2 coffee makers, plenty of spices and odds and ends left by guests - this is fun for us because we like to cook rather than go out. No shortage of anything in both kitchen and bath. We rode our bikes and found plenty of things to do, lots of walks with our dogs. It's a quiet area - no children, just golf carts and kind people.

Very Relaxing

The property was very nicely decorated with plenty of supplied necessities. It has two very nice patios and is very close to a pool. The bathrooms are remodeled with a fantastic shower in the primary. The kitchen is well stocked and the living room has a vey comfortable sofa. Fabulous location with everything nearby and very nice landscaping and wonderful palm trees. We enjoyed our month long stay.

Wonderful trip

We enjoyed every part of our trip to Palm Springs. Communication with Mary the owner was excellent at all times. Check in was simple. The photos on the website don’t do full justice to the property as some of the lounge furniture has been renewed. The property is very well stocked for all your needs. We enjoyed the location very much just steps way from the heated pool area which we had to ourselves most days. Everyone on the community was very friendly and the whole community is so well kept. It is in a great location for all your shopping and restaurant needs with so many areas within and easy reach. There are so many golf courses to choose from apart from the two on-site if you are a keen golfer as my husband is. It was a fantastic break and we would definitely book again if we have the opportunity to return. And so many more golf courses for my husband to visit.

Great Location - 27 Pools

At a high level, the property worked very well for our purposes. It was clean, very well appointed with cookware / appliances and supplies such as laundry detergent, toilet paper, kleenex, etc. All the little things you don't want to have to go out and buy. The TV's, cable and internet all worked well. Appliances are newer and all worked well. The location was very convenient to all of our desired locations. Hard to beat really. We had three pools within a one minute walk or less from our property. Renters tip - Pool 20 on front of the property was always warmer than pool 26 behind the property. Very nice feature in Dec / Jan when the temps are lower. I would liked to have given a rating of 4.5 instead of a 4 but VRBO doesn't allow for it, and it just wasn't quite deserving of a 5. While tastefully decorated (including Mary's own paintings which were quite impressive), the property is still a bit older and there are a few issues of deferred maintenance required - specifically the front door needs new weather stripping or just replacing and the rear patio door locks didn't work. With these items attended to, I would highly recommend the property and would look to book again on our next trip south.

We came to Rancho Mirage for a week from Reno, NV. We loved the location and easability of the check in process. Place was spacious and clean. Wish the living room couch was a little more comfy. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the outdoor porch light. Otherwise nice visit

Found 60 El Toro a great comfortable condo to rent. Very well equipped with everything imaginable for one who likes to cook. Everything was updated and Online pics were exactly what you get.... including bright, cheerful decor.. I would come back in the future.

My name is Mary and I live in the Pacific Northwest. I was born and raised in New York. After Parsons School of Design, various creative jobs and marriage, I moved to beautiful Mill Valley, North of San Francisco. After a dozen years we moved to the Seattle area. I had been an artist all my life, and entered into a career in real estate in 2000. I presently am a full time broker listing luxury properties all over the Puget Sound area.

My hobbies are painting, all types of art and design, interiors, yoga, running, trying new restaurants and travel.
I have two married children and five grand children. I chose Rancho Las Palmas CC, as the ideal place to own a second home ... The location can't be beat. I couldn't be more pleased we did.

Why they chose this property

I love, love, love this location for so many reasons. It is quiet, beautiful, great maintenance and security... love being near the poo/spa area.
Hiking trails are nearby, beautiful and a great workout.
The River is a quick walk with restaurants, an art gallery, nail salon, some boutiques, and more. The Clubhouse is lovely and close. Dinners at Blue Ember are outstanding.
Less than 2 miles away are the shops and restaurants of fun and exciting El Paseo. Close to to Whole Foods, Target, Bristol Farms, Trader Joes, and so many newer shopping options. Downtown Palm Springs is sensational for art galleries, eclectic finds and restaurants. I fell in love with the area the very first time I came here, and decided to purchase. I hope you enjoy it to the fullest.

What makes this property unique

My desert home is refreshing and welcoming. The furnishings are new, attractive and very comfortable. It has not been a rental in the past.... I purchased it from a gentleman who did not use as a rental.

Bedding is all new. The kitchen is freshly remodeled with slab granite and stainless appliances, bathrooms are large and updated.

The gated front courtyard with gas bar-b-que and seating offers so much privacy. The large patio with tons of seating for invited guests (privacy as well). The unit sleeps 4, but could accommodate a party for more.

I love the quality in which Las Palmas CC maintains the grounds, the attention to detail from the Omni hotel, and the attentive security they provide.

Starbucks is active and fun in the am, and the Blue Ember is an awesome place to relax for drinks and dinner.
