About this property

Fisherman Paradise, Boater & Kayakers Dream, waterway to gulf base rate 4 guest

Fisherman and boater paradise. The base rate is on 4 guests, you can have up to 8 adults and two small children, additional cost for each guest over base number, which still makes it more affordable than renting multiple rooms elsewhere. So, you can be small group to large family or two families. This unique rental has so many special amenities. Located right on the main waterway which leads out to the Gulf of Mexico. This rental has three separate bedrooms, a den area referred to as the pelican room that has a flat screen tv Netflix only, a wraparound couch, sitting chairs, a separate large entertainment area, with 10 bar stools, additional seating, reclining couch and chair, flat screen tv Netflix & DVD player, a beer dispenser which can hold up to two kegs of beer, a fully functional kitchen with all the appliances and cookware.
The main bedroom has a gorgeous view of the water, with a king size bed, sitting area and a separate closet. The second bedroom is large with two queen beds and dressers for each bed, plenty of room for additional blowup beds if needed. The third bedroom is quaint and quiet with a queen bed. There is a sitting area with full size desk that can be used as a work station, with access for internet connection to go online, browse the net or check email. There are two separate bathrooms toilet and sinks, two separate showers and change rooms. There is a large deck which overlooks the waterway, with gorgeous sunsets, and plenty of bird watching opportunities. There is also a floating dock for boating, fishing, and to launch your kayak.

This property has three unique appeals, not really found anywhere else on the island!

1. A fisherman's paradise. You have direct waterway access to the gulf, depending on the size boat you may have to watch the tides when planning gulf access. Fishing right off the dock area. Boat launch nearby, you can tie your boat up to the floating dock right on the property. This unit is great for friends to get together and stay in one place to do your fishing excursion.

2. A boater & kayakers dream. Once again you have direct access to the gulf and surrounding islands and all the wetland areas. You can tie up your boat, and depart directly from this location with all your family members. Plenty of parking for guest and your boat trailer. This location is a nature lover's delight, with all natural beauty, scenic wetlands, all kinds of water fowl, and endless number of coves and islands to explore.

3. A family retreat. This vacation rental is large enough to have a good size family stay in one location (8-10 guest: no more than 8 adults and two small children) therefore avoiding the cost having to rent several rental units for you everyone to be together. Pricing has been figured on its ability to handle the larger numbers of guest, and visitors. There is large dining area. This unit is great for family friends to get together and stay in one place.

New Year’s Eve in Cedar Key

Love this low key island and this is a unique location that generates the vibe of Cedar Key. Who wouldn’t love staying in a bar that turned into a VRBO.

Absolutely spectacular

Coffee while watching sunrise, Whiskey for sunset, and cigars under the stars! This place was perfect! Close to everything, charter captain would pick us up from the dock out back. I would change nothing!

Great location with floating dock near downtown

We had a great stay and I would like to come back some time in the future. Having the dock is a huge plus as we could keep our boat in the water for our whole stay. Once we learned how to navigate the channel we could easily access the gulf even at low tide, which was nice. We had a few questions during our stay and the owner was very prompt with responses. All in all, a great stay. Thank you!

Great fishing deck & dock

We caught dozens of fish right out our back door. Caught our own live shrimp and minnows for bait too right off the dock. Bring your own minnow trap & cast net. We were a party of nine, 6 adults and 3 kids. Had a blast!!!

extended family (6 of us 2 dogs)

the inner bedroom with no windows is cramped for two adults and overheats (thermostat was tucked away in distant area hard to find. The shared bathrroms and showers require a close-knit family, not for the squeamish. But the deck and long bar/kitchen/dinign area made up for it all!

Cedar Key Bike and Kayak Trip

The biking around the area is amazing, and it’s so easy to get around everyplace. The traffic is minimal, and the people are respectful on the road. There are lots of places to kayak. We had planned on lots of kayak trips off of the rear dock, but since it’s a floating dock with no sloped entry, the entry was too difficult for some of our group. The kitchen was well equipped. The host was quickly responsive as we had a few questions.

THIS PLACE WAS AWESOME!!!

This place was awseome and was just as shown in the picure... every room was exactly as shown. It was in a great location, with easy access to down town Cedar Key as well as a convenient store right across the street that we did have to visit on occassion. Another hidden jewel was a well stocked Dollar General that was located down the street. We so enjoyed sitting on the deck, and fishing from the dock. We fished a coule of days and caught some fish each time. We enjoyed watching the tide come in and go out each day. A beautiful sun rise and sun sets!! Lots of birds to take photos of. The bar in the house was awesome for eating and it was so like we were at a resturant which was a nice touch!!! Very nice washer and drying and all the towles and linens we needed. Pleanty of dishes, to use, coffee maker, tissue, hand soap, etc. It was very, very clean, and well kept. We really enjoyed staying her. It rained very, very hard the first night we were there, but the house was very stable and did not cause us any concern, even with the high, high winds... We brought food for the week, but did eat out one night at Steamers...Very good feed and very friendly service. Everyone we met in Cedar Key were nice, and friendly. We fished from the pier at the back of the property, but would see lots of people fishing from the pier downtown. Richard as well as those that worked for him very delightful anytime we spoke with them. If you are looking for a nice place to stay in Cedar Key Florida, I highly recommend this property.

Loved the location and dock for fishing.

Its plenty big enough with extra couches in addition to 4 beds. Kitchen is adequately stocked. It used to be a commercial building so we were a little confused when we arrived but the host called us back immediately to answer our questions.

Very enjoyable

The home was clean and just as advertised. I went to Cedar Key to fish and wasn't let down, I even caught a 37 inch red drum right off the deck. Other members of our group went to Crystal river and Disney. A great time was had by all.

Bar-cation

Very neat property on the canal. The property slept 7 comfortably. The old bar area worked great for breakfast time feeding the kids. Convenient to down town and the pier. Docked the boat all week on the floating dock and did great. Had to learn the mouth area of the canal going into the gulf during low tide. Would stay here again.

It’s a family/party house!

We all enjoyed the spaciousness and convenience of the unit. It’s clean, quiet, and has a lovely view from the outdoor patio. There were dolphins, and many bird species to see. Despite the facade (it looks like an office) we were delighted when we explored the inside rooms. Our dogs were happy with the tile floors and the AC works great! There are good instructions about the hot water heater and how to make it function. We love Cedar Key and will probably rent again. There is no yard except some grass around the parking area for the dogs. (We cleaned up after them, of course.)

Peaceful nature view and short walk to town

A terrific place for a small (4-6) family get away. We brought our kayaks, paddleboards and a canoe and enjoyed being able to put in off the floating dock. A sanctuary for sure with so much wildlife - from the deck we saw dolphins frolic and feeding, roseate spoonbills, american oystercatchers and so many more birds! On our paddle trips out to the gulf we saw rays and more dolphins. The sunrises are spectacular and the colors over the eastern sky at sunset are also very lovely. The evenings and early mornings are quiet at Fisherman's Paradise and the stars on a clear night are brilliant. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to work, the showers take some time to learn the hot water system but it is HOT, the beds are super comfortable and the sheets high quality as are the towels. A short walk and you are in the tourist hustle of Cedar Key. The gas station across the street has the basics - like beer and ice and chips. Otherwise bring your grocery needs. Just FYI - be aware there is not a place for large gatherings - the deck has only a high top and a picnic table and the kitchen/dining/ gathering room is really a bar (I presume left over from when this was an actual café.) There is a small tv viewing area with a sectional sofa that can hold 4 easy or 6 cozy. I would also bring extra blankets if you tend to like to snuggle or get a chill. The beds have sheets and a blanket but no bedspreads and no extra blankets were found in the dressers. Our family LOVED it and had a great time and would highly recommend!

Boat Dock & Black Drum

My family amd I had a great time. The dock was great. We were able to get in and out even at low tide in our 24' hurricane. We Kept the boat at the dock for a week. Went scalloping near crystal river and we caught a huge black drum right off the dock not to mention all the other fish. We would definitely stay here again. Coffee on the deck in the morning overlooking the channel was wonderful.
