Spacious and comfortable. This home has all you need to enjoy a fun, relaxing and memorable vacation. Perfectly suited for families, the home is within walking distance to Long Pond, and well located for easy access to all that the cape has to offer.
The house itself boasts an enchanting Koi pond-a sure winner with young children who will enjoy feeding the fish. You will appreciate the over-sized composite deck (with outdoor shower), perfect for a family BBQ or relaxing to cool drinks after a day at the beach. The kids will take advantage of the yard with space to run around on the lawn in front and back of house. Inside, the spacious loft area is a great place for kids to hang out and unwind. Included with the house is access to a ‘mini-beach’ on Long Pond. Just a 3 minute walk from the house-this spot is perfect for putting in the kayak(2 person sit on top and small one person kayak(120lb maximum), cooling off with a quick dip, or just sitting and enjoying the beauty of Long Pond.

Great location and charming house

Spacious with a nice kitchen and large deck off the dining room. The access to Long Pond and the ability to canoe and kayak made the entire experience fun and complete. 👍👍👍 .

Fantastic Location and wonderful home

Bruce and Tina's home is in a great location. You can get basically anywhere on the Cape within an hour from P-town to Falmouth. Skaket Beach, Nauset Beach and Lighthouse and Salt Pond National Park Visitor Center and trails are 15-18min. Wellfleet Audobon, well worth visiting, is about 22min. Cape Cod Rail trail is just a couple miles, but if you drive 10min, you can park 2.7miles from Nickerson State Park entrance nd bike in directly from the rail trail and avoid the entrance fee. The trails there were a nice contrast to the fairly level rail trail and were very well maintained. The house itself is very well maintained and the deck, being higher off the ground, means that even on a muggy evening, the mosquitoes weren't bad. The outdoor shower helped keep sand out of the house. The kitchen is by far the best stocked of any rental we've been in with sharp knives, plenty of pots and pans, spices, oil and even tupperware for leftovers. The sand toys, life vests, boogie boards and skim boards, umbrella and chairs made going to the beach really easy. The beach on the pond is small, but quiet and fun for the kiddos. They were well stocked with books, games and puzzles and in our 10 days there the kids didn't even ask us to turn on the large TV. The upstairs loft would have been a great additional bedroom for kids if we had 2 families, but was a great place for our early risers to play to let us sleep in some. The only negative, which I've found in all our rentals compared to hotels are the bedrooms are bright in the mornigns so those used to darker rooms may want a sleep mask. The fans helped move the cool air around on the hottest days and A/cs in the 3 bedrooms made sleeping easy. Bruce was very prompt in responding before and during our stay, including when I couldn't find the check-in code when almost at the house. We will definitely be back here for our next Cape vacation. Plenty of room for 5, but would work well with 4 adults and up to 5-6 kids, in my opinion. Unless you're willing to pay a premium to be on the ocean, you won't go wrong here.

Cape Cod Institute

My wife and I, and our adult daughter, stayed in the house while we took a seminar remotely at the Cape Cod Institute The house was very clean, really comfortable, and had plenty room for all of us to work and relax We used the deck quite a bit It was convenient to the beaches and restaurants when we were not in the seminar Bruce was easy to communicate with and very responsive All in all we felt very comfortable and really enjoyed our stay

Secluded Oasis on Long Pond

We are veterans of many years renting on the Cape, and were especially impressed by this spacious, wonderfully designed home. We cooked, lounged and entertained family members who own homes on the Cape- they were as impressed as we were at all the space, amenities and thoughtful touches. We loved our daily visit to the Koi pond to feed Bongo the turtle, and the fleet of goldfish. Overall, a balm for the soul. Thanks, again, Bruce, for sharing your home with us.

Nearby pond

Our teens loved that there were kayaks and went out every day on the pond. We also really enjoyed the koi pond. The house has enough beds and space for two families. The shower head holder cracked off and Bruce had some one come fix it within a few hours. He is a very responsive owner. The house is clean and comfortable and situated in the middle of lots of places.

We live in Connecticut and fell in love with the cape on a vacation. We spend as many weekends up at the house as we are able throughout the year with our three boys.

Why they chose this property

The cape is a magical place-particularly for families. We love the house because it allows access to Long Pond, but is also very well situated to get around to the many great beaches on the Bay(Skaket in Orleans is our favorite) and the rest of the many activities the cape has to offer.
