About this property
Traditional farm house "Langada"
Enjoy an exclusive vacation experience in this unique and historic countryside estate. The house’s indelible traditional architecture, its perfect harmony with nature and the ambiance of total tranquillity will make you want to stay forever!
The traditional farmhouse “Langada” is an elegantly appointed farmhouse that developed during the centuries, around a small chapel and a central patio. As it can be read on the chapel’s lintel, it was built in 1698. It is said that the chapel and the room next to it had been used by generations of monks of the St John monastery, who wished to lead an ascetic mode of life and cultivate the land.
Langada, offers four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a spacious fully equipped kitchen, a kitchenette, a central patio with a chapel, several outdoor sitting areas and a beautiful garden.
Bedroom 1 is a suite consisting of two parts, a sitting area with a sofa that converts into a double bed, and the sleeping area with a second double bed. The room also features an en suite bathroom with shower.
Bedroom 2 has a large traditional built in bed that sleeps up to 4 kids or 3 adults, and a sitting area. The bathroom of the specific bedroom is not en suite; it is accessible through the central patio.
The main kitchen of the house, which also serves as a dining area, has a contemporary yet indigenous character. It used to be a traditional kitchen with wood stoves and a chimney. It has been recently renovated and it features two ovens, four ceramic cooking plates, a double sink, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, a large refrigerator, and a large dining table.
The beautiful and picturesque central patio is the perfect spot for enjoying home cooked meals. It has a large table, sitting 12, and a built in low sofa perfect for relaxation and lazy afternoons.
Through the central patio one can access the second part of the house which offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchenette, and sitting area.
Bedroom 3 is situated at the ground floor. It features a large traditional built in double bed, and an en suite bathroom. Exiting the bedroom, one can find a traditional sitting area that leads to the beautiful garden overlooking Kampos beach. The kitchenette and second bathroom are at the back of the house. The kitchenette leads to a small courtyard with a dining table. Bedroom 4, is on the upper floor and offers a double bed and a large veranda with an unobstructed view of Kampos and the sea.
The property is located, at the beautiful and peaceful area of upper Kampos, overlooking Kampos beach. The house is a 5 minutes walk from the village square, where you can find a taverna, a coffee bar and a mini market. The popular beach of Kampos is only a 10 minutes walk from the house. The beach offers two very good tavernas and a beach bar. Skala, the main port, is at 4km. Skala, is also the commercial centre of the island where one can find restaurants, shops, super markets, bars and nightclubs. Patmos’ historic main town, mediaeval Chora, is built at the top of the hill, around the fortified monastery of St.John and is at 6km from the house.
The house offers daily housekeeping service.
Upon a reservation’s confirmation the host is always available for any inquiries or pre-arrival arrangements regarding transportation, excursions, special occasions, etc.

About the host
Hosted by Mrs. Nicoletta Nomicou
I am from Athens, however I have very close ties with two beautiful Greek islands Santorini and Patmos.
As my father’s family is from Santorini I spent all my summers there. Since I am a licensed tour guide, in 2004 I decided to move to Santorini in order to work there. This was a great chance to start renovating my family’s properties in order to be able to share them with people from all over the world.
In addition, many years ago, my mother visited the island of Patmos, fell in love with it and decided to buy two beautiful pieces of land, including very old farmhouses in ruinous condition, that she slowly renovated. In this way, our family and numerous friends enjoyed many unforgettable Patmos Easters and summers. Nowadays, I am responsible for the good condition of the houses that I rent out and share the beauty and special ambiance of this island with our guests.
I am very lucky since my twin daughters, Alexandra and Christina, having completed their studies abroad in hospitality management and tourism, returned to their roots in order to continue and develop what I started. Genuine hospitality, love and respect for the island, as well as the embracement of the local culture define our core values. Nowadays we all share our time between Santorini, Patmos and Athens, and have the honor and pleasure to share our family’s story and our love for these islands, with visitors from all over the world.
