Villa Romo, is a tptally Private quality villa and pool (8x4), open and maintained all year, free Wifi, aircon in Master bedroom, bbq, pizza oven. New Smart TV , Peaceful area. Good for walks.
A stylish rural villa set on a ridge with far reaching views all around. The peaceful location is private and not overlooked and with 5000 metres (1 acre +) of land, it has a spacious outlook.
Comares, a pretty hilltop village,and its traditional bars/restaurants/shops/bakery is a 10 minute drive. There is also a zip wire set in a natural area.. Comares can be seen from Villa Romo terrace.
Bar El Nino is a welcoming family run rural bar-restaurant. You can enjoy a 20 minute walk to it or a very short drive.
The accommodation is suitable for a large family or group of friends sharing. Built on one level it is child friendly and ideal for active elderly persons.
Well behaved dogs are welcome , maximum 2.
We have an excellent bbq and an Exterior Pizza Oven!
Villa Romo is an excellent holiday location all year. Southern Andalucia gets over 300 days of sunshine typically. The Villa is equipped with electric fans in all rooms during the summer; these, together with wooden shutters and blinds on all windows, help keep the rooms cool. The open plan lounge/dining room features a brick fireplace for cosy winter warmth. Heaters are provided in all rooms during the Winter months . Comfortable all year.
There is air con only in the Master Bedroom. All other bedrooms and lounge have individual fans.

Village Life - Comares:
Comares is a very picturesque pueblo blanco set high up in a dramatic location. It remains unchanged and has exceptional views in every direction. It is a pleasure to get lost following the narrow streets that turn steeply away from the main Plaza with its welcoming bar. Life is definately unhurried here!.
There is also a bank with cash machine, two good local shops with fresh produce, a chemist, a tobacconist and 6 bar/restaurants with local dishes & tapas which will make your holiday at Villa Romo a convenient place to stay and a good base to come back to after doing some exploring.
There is also a very popular zip wire and walking and climbing routes of different difficulties. You can get all the information in the Tourist kiosk at the entrance to the village.
Town & Beach Facilities:
Velez Malaga is a typical large market town with a nice Spanish feel, where you will find all your shopping requirements including a modern Shopping centre, a Cinema complex, a hospital, Aquavelis water park with slides, and some specialist shops. Market day is on Thursdays.
Torre Del Mar,
It s approx. 30 mins drive to the nearest Mediterranean Beach resort of Torre del Mar. Over 2 kms of wide sandy beaches are dotted with "Chiringuitos", beach bars specialising in fish & seafood and other restaurants which offer a variety of types of food. Along the promenade you will find entertainment for all ages. Rent a bike or go horse riding on the beach nearby. At Caleta de Velez, the local fishing port and marina 5 mins drive East, there are several excellent eateries next to the beach & opposite the boats. There you find company that organizes day boat trips.
Benamargosa,
Approx 20 mins drive from Villa Romo, you find Benamargosa, here you find two well supplied local supermarkets, a bank with a cash machine, a laundry, hairdresser, a gym, some bars, restaurant and a 24 hour emergency medical centre.
Exploring Andalucia: Villa Romo is the perfect rural location from which to visit the key sights of Andalucia:
Malaga City, with castle & hilltop fort, Picasso museum, great shopping and tapas bars the Port area, etc, is 1 hour.
Granada & Alhambra Palace ( a must see!) is around 90 mins drive. Book in advance online/at local BBVA bank.
Seville & Cordoba are a little further on good roads - but worth the effort.
Antequera is less than 1 hour and full of attractive buildings and monuments. Torcal National Park is nearby..
Nerja, with famous caves and good sandy beaches, takes 1 hour by car.......And if you want to sample the high life, Marbella & Puerto Banus is a fun day trip!.
