Wonderful secluded hideaway

We really enjoyed our stay in this special place. Close to Saint Remy and ideally located to discover the Provence. We loved the setting, the privacy and identity of this unique hideaway. The accommodation was super clean and was well equiped. Where it could improve is the provision of drinking water and the interior design to create a more homely and generous feel. I look forward to returning to this beautiful place.

Very relaxing in the countryside

The property is good and has everything other than a/c - it can get a little warm and if it is still (no wind) bites are possible - we got bitten quite badly on the first night in the garden at dusk but once you work that out it’s easier to avoid.

Rural and Rustic

The property itself was as we expected but it was a little more rural and isolated than we’d imagined, a very long walk into St Remy. Maybe a little too rural for me but if you want seclusion it’s perfect! Accommodation is simple but very clean, with lots of outdoor space that our dog loved especially after 2 weeks of hotels! St Remy is a lovely Provençal town with lots of restaurants and nice shops.

Lovely rural stay

Delightful small cabin a short distance from Saint Remy de Provence. Good value for money and a comfortable stay. Host was helpful in arranging access/handover and communication was good. I had not understood from the property listing that the water supply was not drinking water - perhaps this should be made clearer. Also, I had failed to realise fom the property descrition that there was no WiFi and this caused me some challenges. Perhaps I had not read the details carefully, as nowadays one tends to assume that internet access is available by default. All in all, a lovely property and I would be happy to visit again or recommend to others.

Habitation rustique en pleine nature au pied des Alpilles. Parfait pour un dépaysement et à qui ne cherche pas le luxe. Quelques équipements à remplacer (plaques chauffantes et casseroles. Très agréable parc. Nous avons passer un bon séjour.

Location surement très agréable au printemps ou en été mais pas adaptée à l'hiver. Points négatifs : - Douche avec ballon de 15 litres ( 1 douche mais pas 2) - Appoint d'eau par pompe dans le cabanon qui se déclenche à n'importe quelle heure - Pas d'isolation des murs ni de porte d'entrée et chauffage par convecteurs type "grille pain" non adaptés / globalement trop froid - Lits sans confort avec couvertures trop petites et couette d'été - Equipements de cuisine rudimentaires - Pas de réseau ni de box sur place - Un espace salon pas confortable et rudimentaire Ensemble spartiate et rudimentaire fait pour une vie à l'extérieure aux périodes chaudes de l'année. A ne pas louer en automne ou en hiver. Points positifs : Calme, espace environnant et nature

Bonjour Alain, C'est toujours avec grand regret que nous apprenons que le séjour d'un hôte n'a pas été à la hauteur de ses attentes. Je profite de cette occasion pour rappeler la philosophie et l'histoire de ce lieux atypique... C'est un authentique cabanon en pierres niché en pleine nature mais néanmoins proche du centre de Saint Rémy. Mon père a déniché cette petite bâtisse abandonnée au milieu d'une végétation qui laissait à peine entrevoir l'édifice délabrée. Années après années, en famille, nous avons réhabilité le lieu et dompté la végétation. Nous avons eu la chance d'obtenir un raccordement électrique ainsi qu'un puits rendant le lieu habitable le temps d'une expérience hors des sentiers battus. Nous tentons d'améliorer au fils des années le confort que nous voulons toutefois conserver comme "simple", et comprenons qu'il ne sera jamais à la hauteur de certaines attentes. J'espère que ces quelques lignes éclaireront les amateurs de séjours atypiques, simples et "déconnectés" en pleine nature...

Traumhaftes Häuschen in der Nähe von Saint Remy

Herrliches Anwesen mit sehr großem Garten in absoluter Ruhe. Die Einrichtung ist einfach - aber zweckmäßig. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man im Urlaub benötigt. Außen gibt es eine Grillmöglichkeit. Rundum ein sehr schöner und entspannter Urlaub in einer herrlichen Gegend.

Cette location n’est pas alimentée en eau potable :

L’annonce correspond à ce qui est décrit au niveau de l’environnement et des équipements mais ce cabanon est alimenté en eau uniquement par un puit qui n’est pas contrôlé par l’agence régionale de santé ce qui est interdit par la loi . Si nous avions eu cette information au départ nous n’aurions pas choisi cette location . Deuxième désagrément, personne pour nous accueillir à l’arrivée après un trajet de 8h00 , il a fallu contacter le service d’urgence d’abritel pour qu’après une heure d’attente quelqu’un vienne enfin nous apporter les clés.

Bonjour, Petit rappel pour les hôtes : le cabanon est situé en plein milieu de la nature, l'eau est alimentée par un puits que nous déconseillons de boire, cette information est signalée dans la description du cabanon et sur une plaquette à l'intérieur du cabanon.

Our third stay here.. We find Le Shed our ideal Rivendell...its a 20 minute stroll into St Remy, visiting the local shops for provisions for our days meals.

Lovely Building

If you want a rustic experience then this is for you. It is comfortable and has all you need however for us it needs to be a little more modernised. Of course that is the charm for some people. It was terribly hot and there was little space to store clothes or food we had brought. It is also a little far out of the town and a car is necessary for the evening if you want to venture into the town. The building itself is beautiful and the hosts were very easy to contact and most pleasant.
