Fantastic modern apartment in a beautiful, secluded setting

We are full of enthusiasm for this beautiful apartment. Everything is modern and beautifully presented. There were just the two of us, so we only used the double bedroom, but very comfortable mattresses and of a good size (unusual in France). The bathroom is great, especially the bath which is sooooo comfortable! There is plenty of private parking space and everything feels very secure in the gated property (remote controls are provided for opening and closing the gates). To add to our enjoyment we saw a beautiful red squirrel every day in the mornings, skipping past the french windows in the sitting room. The area is lovely, especially if you like walking, and if culture is your thing, then there are so many wonderful place to visit in close proximity to Saint-Leu-D'esserent. Great restaurants in the area, two within easy walking distance. The local bakery has beautiful bread and to die for cakes. The local butcher is divine and needs to be visited, even if you don't like cooking. Sandrine, the owner, is helpfulness personified and a lovely person. We will be returning next year!

Extremely clean beautiful spacious with thoughtful host

We loved our stay at the very safe, clean, peaceful, and spacious apartment. Sandrine was a lovely host and was so very kind and sweet with my daughter. She and her daughter were so helpful and gave us info about close shops ect. Dans la ville. The two chickens that Sandrine owns were wonderful entertainment for my daughter and she even would catch them to bring for my daughter to pet and talk to. We had a long stay and every detail was there and very comfortable. I clean every place we stay, and there was NOTHING on my rag. Very clean. Lovely town, but very small. If you are there long, rent a car to get to the cute neighboring towns for something to do (we were there in march, summer is more active) If you are afraid of spiders, i do have to share that we had more than a few come into the house while we were there. The mature vegetation is beautiful, but when we had warm days this was rough for my arachnophobia. Just a fact, nothing to do about it. The house was on a gated property and felt very private and safe for our daughter to play outside or to enjoy the large open doors. Overalls a beautiful out if the way, quiet place to stay with a wonderful host. We will return! Merci!

Semaine agréable au calme

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Sandrine, qui a été également très disponible et bienveillante. Le gîte est confortable, propre et spacieux. Très bien situé à deux pas du centre-ville. Nous avons apprécié le calme et l’espace extérieur mis à disposition. Nous le recommandons vivement.

Relaxen in gepflegtem Ambiente

Wir haben unseren FamilienUrlaub in dieser sehr schön eingerichteten Wohnung mir bezauberndem Garten verbracht. Die Vermieterin ist äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend (prompte Behebung bei Problemen mit Whirlpool,,Aufbau eines weiteren mobilen Pools, Abschiedsfrühstück...) die Wohnung war sehr sauber und topp ausgestattet. Das Schloss von Chantilly ist absolut sehenswert, Paris in einer Stunde erreichbar,,wandern und Kayak in der Umgebung. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und konnten in dEr Unterkunft ohne Aufdringluchkeit der Vermieterin, ,die im 1.OG wohnT, verbringen. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Quintessential French Country Experience

If you would like to taste France outside the hyper-busy, impatient and demanding metropolitan space of downtown Paris, then this quaint home will give you a breath of fresh country air. Our arrival was on Bastille Day and we saw fireworks show in the distance in the valley below as the sunset. It was a very nice welcome to the French country side. This was perfect for our children with slide, swing and thick gardens and Sandrine was such gifted and kind hostess. Although we speak "petite" French, our hand gestured communication worked okay as Sandrine made us feel more than welcome. The internet was slow and I was unable to work effectively online and was relegated to simple online searches, but other accommodations made this place a wonderful experience for which we are appreciative. Wir haben als Familie 1 Woche gebucht und waren sehr zufrieden. Wohnung entspricht der Beschreibung. Dazu bekommt man noch einen schönen Garten. Sandrine war sehr nett und unglaublich aufmerksam. Perfekt für eine Familie oder Leute, die einfach nur Ruhe suchen. Paris ist -wie hier schon beschrieben- gut zu erreichen. Da hier nicht die Deutsche Bahn fährt, sind die Züge sogar pünktlich. Wir können die Wohnung empfehlen. Vielen Dank an die Gastgeberin.

Wir wurden, trotz unserer späten Ankunft, sehr warmherzig begrüßt. Die Wohnung ist toll und sauber, ruhig aber Paris und viele andere Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel erreichbar. Die Vermieterin, wie gesagt, ist warmherzig und diskret. Wir empfehlen diese Wohnung und werden bestimmt nicht das letzte mal hier wohnen.

Endoit paisible et convenable a voyager a Paris

Nous avons passe un sejour excellent a Douce France a Saint Leu en octobre 2017. La maison est propre, bien equipe, bien meuble et dans un endoit calm; le jardin est joli. Le boucher (viande de haute qualite) et le supermarche sont moins de cinq minutes a pied de la maison. Sandrine est tres gentile, un acceuil chalereux, et elle nous a donne beaucoup de renseignement utile. C'etait l'anniversaire de notre marriage pendant notre sejour et Sandrine nous a donne une bouteill de champagne afin celebrer l'evenement. St Leu est bien situe pour un voyage a Paris par train; 5-7 minutes par voiture de la Gare de Chantilly. Puis seulement un voyage de 24 minutes a Gare du Nord. Il y a beaucoup des randonees dans la region. Chantilly est une ville adorable. Ne manquez pas l'abbaye de St Leu qui domine la ville. Entierement recommenade pour in sejour pres de Paris. Un petit avertissement- lisez touts les detailles dans la publicite afin de comprendre le vrai prix. Le nettoyage, linge etc sont supplementaire du prix dans la publicite. En depit de ca nous pensons du tres bien de Douce France.

It is an apartment in a family house with the owner above - not your own place !!

If you intend to rent a apartment, this place is all right, but only for 4 persons, sleeping on the couch for number 5 and perhaps 6 is uncomfortable, the couch's is to short, and the whole sitting room is transformed to a bedroom. We sought we rented our own house, so it was quite a bit of surprise to realize that it was the ground floor of a house, where the owner + family was living on the first floor, sitting on a balcony right over the chairs being shown on the picture. In the text is written that it is a cottage we are renting not a small rather dark apartment. Had we known these circumstances, we would have found something else. Sandrine and her family is friendly people, but they did not honestly describe what you will get if you rent their place.

Tolle Ferien

Wir verbrachten Anfang August als Familie mit 2 Kindern (8 und 11) 1 Woche in dieser wunderbaren Wohnung nahe Chantilly. Die Vermieterin war äusserst sympathisch und nett. Die Kommunikation war auch im voraus sehr unproblematisch. In der Wohnung haben wir uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Es war alles sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, es mangelte an nichts. Vor allem die Raumaufteilung und der schöne Garten haben uns sehr gefallen. Wir waren auch einige Tage in Paris. Vom Bahnhof Chantilly aus kann man mit dem Zug in einer halben Stunde nach Paris Gard du Nord gelangen. Dort besichtigten wir die Stadt mit dem "Hop-on-hopp-off-Bus" und den Schiffstaxis. Es lohnt sich auch, einen Museumspass zu kaufen, da entfallen viele Wartezeiten an den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Den Eiffelturm sollte man im Internet vorbuchen. Auch die nahe Umgebung der Picardie hat uns sehr gut gefallen, ebenso Schloss Chantilly. Wir können die Wohnung auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen und kommen vielleicht gerne mal wieder! Lovely property near Paris.

This is a beautiful holiday property.Kitchen extremly well equipped,lovely sitting room,beautiful bathroom and nice bedrooms.Everywhere spotlessly clean. It is set in beautiful grounds with good parking, very quiet and within easy walking distance of the town centre.Thank you for a splendid week.
