About this property

Sea Haven - 3 bed dog friendly cottage with free WIFI

A centrally located stone built cottage in the centre of Seahouses with free parking and WIFI. We are 2/3 minutes from the nearest beach and local amenties of Seahouses. We offer a fully equipped cottage which can sleep up to 6 persons in 3 separate bedrooms, large kitchen/diner and a comfortable lounge with log fire (a perfect retreat after a nice stroll along the beach).

We are dog/child friendly and have great 5* reviews and 40% of our customers return.

What To Do?
From our cottage you can be on the main beach in 10 minutes and enjoy a fantastic stroll towards Bamburgh Castle. From there you can cut through to village and enjoy a lunch and refreshments. For children - remember to look for the Stag (or magic reindeer is what my children called it!) before exploring the park in Bamburgh.

Alnwick and the famous Alnwick Castle, Gardens and Lilidorei are 20 minutes away by car (remember to take your free car pass to park in village). If that is not enough visit the lovely village centre or the fantastic Barter Books or Aln Railway. There is also a great leisure centre with swimming for rainy days.

Bus Adventure - you can jump on our local bus X18 and go all the way down the Northumberland Coast visiting some lovely fishing villages before terminating at Newcastle. Newcastle has a host of activities too many to mention here for all ages. At time of writing (8/24) we have a special £2 fare which is great value.

Very well appointed cottage in a great location.

Overall we were very happy with the property. Everything we could possibly need was available including a great box of toys that kept my grandson occupied for hours. We had a problem with one of the radiators in the lounge but the owner sorted this out for us immediately and provided an electric heater. The parking space was very handy and we also managed to park a second car on a road just round the corner. The only minor issue that we had was that the outside bin was jam packed when we arrived so we had nowhere to put our rubbish and had to leave a full bin bag by the back door. Like I say though, this was a minor inconvenience to what was a fantastic few days away in Seahouses. We would definitely return and would be very happy to stay in this cottage once again.

A home from home

The cottage is lovely and of course pet friendly. Beautifully clean and very cozy. The log burner would make it a perfect place for a winter holiday. The position in the village was wonderful too as we could just walk down the road to the harbour, or walk the other way and be in the centre of the village. Bus stop really close too if needed. All in all a wonderful holiday and one that is being kept on my list for the future. Thank you very much.

Thank you for your review, it is appreciated. We love our central location as it is great as an exploring base but as you said every thing is on your doorstep so it's is also great to park the car and walk into Seahouses or Bamburgh.

We are family of 4 who live in Newcastle, so easy travel distance up to Northumberland. We have been visiting Northumberland for the last 18 years staying initially in our static caravan outside of Bamburgh before buying our first cottage in Seahouses in 2007. Until end of 2015 we had three cottages but decided to concentrate on two from 2016, one in Seahouses and one in Beadnell.

Why they chose this property

The best thing about this cottage is its location and the fact it has its own car park space which is a premium in a small fishing village. Seahouses has everything you could possibly need for your holiday, with great walks on the beach up to Bamburgh or going South to visit Alnwick Castle/Gardens.

What makes this property unique

We have unlimited WIFI for anyone who cant leave their smartphones/emails at home. You can view our selection of DVDs or play on the PS2/Wii consoles.

There is a selection of toys and games for children.
