Located in a breathtaking setting on the French Riviera, a dream stay awaits you at this beautiful property nestled in the hillside of Menton facing the Bay of Garavan.

The villa can accommodate up to 6 guests.

With sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Italian Riviera, this ancestral family home is surrounded by lemon, orange and olive groves. Fully renovated and recently redecorated, this superb villa is at once authentic and contemporary. It offers modern commodities and complete comfort – the perfect environment for rest and relaxation.

The villa is on two floors and offers stunning sea views from all rooms. On the ground floor: a vast living and dining area; a fully-equipped kitchen; a second living room which can be used as a third bedroom, and a bathroom with shower. Upstairs: the master suite; a full bathroom with separate shower and tub, and another bedroom. Both bedrooms on the second level have independent terraces for privacy. Off the ground floor: a garden-terrace with summer kitchen; lounge chairs, and Jacuzzi, all facing the sea.

The villa is entirely air-conditioned and has high speed internet. It is also equipped with an alarm system and safe to store valuables. Private parking is available.

Everything about our stay was wonderful! The villa was spotless and exceptionally well appointed. The beds and linens were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, and we loved the homemade citrus wines and marmalades left for us! The view is simply incomparable and the location is convenient to visiting many little towns in both France and Italy. Despite all these great amenities, the best part of our stay was the warmth and responsiveness of our hosts, Serge, Enzo, and Graziella! They were so helpful and genuinely kind. Future guests should be aware that the villa is not ideal for guests with limited mobility and the drive to the villa (and pretty much everywhere in the Cote d'Azure) is a little nerve wracking.

Best VRBO we have stayed in

We couldn’t have loved this house more. The view alone made it incredible, but it was also very clean and Enzo was very helpful. We loved walking down to the market in the morning to get fresh breakfast food. The beaches nearby are great. We would rent beach chairs and umbrellas at the beachfront restaurants each day. It’s way nicer than the pictures even show.

Beautiful villa with amazing views

Serge and his family were wonderful- welcoming and informative. The photos (of both the view and the villa), while beautiful, do not do the place justice. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. Menton is a lovely town, and a stay at this villa grants you (hilly) walking access to all Menton has to offer. The villa has a fully equipped kitchen if you choose to stay in and enjoy the view. Thank you Serge, we'll be back!

The perfect villa

The villa is just above Menton, giving spectacular view of the area. Serge met us in town to lead the way up and then provided a thorough walk through of the villa. He was available throughout the week if we needed anything. The villa was spotless and had everything we needed for our week in Menton. A/C work well, kitchen well stocked for preparing meals.

Best place in France

I cannot say enough about Serge and his family. Wonderful hosts and very responsive. Their home is breathtaking and I highly recommend staying there. The views are beyond belief. Beautiful View

The perfect cote d'azur view awaits you at this lovely home overlooking the bay. Spotlessly clean, quiet, plenty of hot water, and an outdoor hot tub to relax in after a day of sightseeing. The Cerutti family was most kind and helpful meeting us off the autostrada to guide us to our rental. They live next door so are closeby to help. As with any coastal property with a view, you must drive up on narrow windy roads to get there. For those over 65 there are around 40 steps and a narrow drive to go up to get to the dedicated parking spot. They helped drive our luggage down to check in and out so that was very thoughtful and appreciated. The home looks new and updated with everything you may need. But the highlight of the place is the magnificent unobstructed views of the Mediterranean and the Port.

Great place with amazing Mediterranean views

This villa was extremely clean and well appointed. The bedding, towels, grill, appliances and kitchen were all very nice and everything worked nicely. The pictures are accurate and the accommodations were great for our family of 5. Parking was simple as the villa had two parking spots. We drove an Audi A6 station wagon and quickly got used to driving up the hill to the villa. We also walked to town from the villa which was a moderate to difficult walk. Mostly we did not mind it and it saved us from finding parking in downtown Menton which can be difficult. The owner and his son were extremely responsive and helpful. They met us at a simple downtown location and then led us up to villa by car. That made the first drive up to the villa must easier. They responded to any question very quickly and spoke great English. I recommend this villa for visits to Menton!

Paradise + Hospitality

This villa is perfection. The owners make it so easy for it to become your home for as long as you are lucky enough to be there. The bedrooms and living room are very comfortable, the bathrooms are spacious and bright, and the kitchen is well stocked. The piece de resistance, however, is the outside. The view is nothing short of extraordinary. You will not ever want to leave the jacuzzi. On top of all of this, the owners are warm, generous, and exceptional hosts. They are a call or text away for any need. On the day of my arrival, I was caught in a big train delay and called to let them know I'd be late. They went out of their way to allay my concerns and help make my arrival smooth--and, since I ended up getting to Nice after the rental car place closed, they even met me close by in Villefranche-sur-Mer and drove me the rest of the way to the house! They're real gems and I cannot say enough great things about them, the villa, and the whole experience in Menton.

Great accommodation with a great setting

The villa is located in a very beautiful area slightly above Menton with a truly fantastic panoramic view towards Italy. The access route is a little narrow and winding road, but you soon get used to it. You can reach the old town of Menton on foot in around 15-20 minutes. The way back can be seen as a training session for your conditions, as the way is constantly uphill (also great for burning off those vacation calories). The house is in really excellent condition and fully equipped. The furnishings are modern and attractive and overall everything is very clean and tidy (spotless). The kitchen has everything you need for your vacation and there are also 2 washing machines if required. The outdoor area also invites you to linger and the jacuzzi is a small highlight (nice and warm and is cleaned daily). The large outdoor grill is also nice for holding a barbecue in the evening. We always enjoyed the warm evenings on the terrace. With a glass of wine and the great view you can really get into raptures. A parking space for 2 cars is located above the house and is large and secure. Serge and his family are really very nice and charming landlords. If there are any questions, if anything is needed or tips for restaurants and excursions, Serge is there to help with everything. We felt very comfortable and welcomed and enjoyed the ambience and the hospitality of Serge and his family. We can only warmly recommend the vacation home.

Best house and location that we have ever stayed at

This house is huge, updated, and has everything you could need-even bath robes. The pictures do not show just how amazing it is. We cooked and grilled several meals there which allowed us to save money, eat healthier and experience the local cuisine better. The hot tub was incredible, and the owner didn't hesitate to turn up the heat for me. The house was so large we each had our own quiet space. The balconies overlook the water and mountains and you have a view from every room - much better than the pictures show. The outdoor grill was great. Airconditioning was wonderful. We have had extensive visits in 10 countries, and this was by far our favorite home and location. The house was so clean you could practically eat off of the floors. It is a short walk to the beach and shopping/dining areas. It is super quiet and it feels like you are experiencing real French life. The train station is close so if you don't want to drive into other towns along the coast you can take a train and not have to deal with parking in those other towns (for example Monaco) Menton was our favorite town on the French Riviera. We thought we would use it as a base to see other places (which it is great for), but surprisingly we favored Menton and preferred to spend more time there. There is a close grocery store and the owners are very nice go out of their way to meet off the main highway and lead you to the home. It was truly an amazing experience, and we were so happy we picked the home.

amazing hosts, stunning views and every comfort available

This is a beautiful property. We had a wonderful stay. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the difficult roads. Driving in Menton and Nice is not for the faint of heart. Midwestern Americans like us are not used to this kind of driving! However, Serge and Michele were so kind and thoughtful which helped us recover from the stress of the drive. There was a very nice welcome basket with home made jam, bread sticks, delicious olive tapenade and wine made from oranges and lemons. The villa is very modern with beautiful décor. The bathrooms were fantastic with great water pressure. We had everything we needed. We were able to cook meals and wash clothes. The view is spectacular and you can even hear the ocean waves. The weather was fantastic. We were there September, 2015 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Extremely relaxing and peaceful. After a few days we were able to navigate better once we got used to the steep roads and hairpin curves and knew what to expect. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone! you will be very comfortable and well taken care of! My husband accidentally left his suit and dress shirts behind and Serge graciously mailed them back to us in the US. Menton is a great choice for those of you who would prefer a more relaxing and peaceful setting rather than the loud and more hectic paced Nice or other cities along the Riviera. Monaco and Italy are just minutes away as well and the train is extremely inexpensive and easy to use. Levers de soleil grandioses

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour dans cette maison, de laquelle la vue est époustouflante. Elle est très soignée, tout comme les terrasses. La literie est parfaite, la cuisine est fonctionnelle. Un seul petit regret, du fait de l'orientation de la maison, malgré un temps exceptionnel pour cette période, dès le début d'après-midi, il n'est plus possible de profiter des terrasses. Cette villa offre une vue absolument magnifique. Chaque matin, nous avons été émerveillés par le panorama exceptionnel qui s'offre à nous. Traumblick auf Menton

Außerordentlich war bereits, wie bemüht die Gastgeber vor der Ankunft waren, uns möglichst detailliert und instruktiv zu informieren. Auch die Übergabe der Villa war gastfreundlich und herzlich. Es gibt einen eigenen, gut befahrbaren Parkplatz für zwei Fahrzeuge. Die Zimmer der exponiert über Menton gelegenen Villa haben wie auch die Küche alle Meerblick, und was für einen! Die Einrichtung ist auf dem aktuellen Stand, alles ist sauber und die Ausstattung in der Küche sehr gut. Komplett war auch die Versorgung mit Hand- und Liegetüchern. Meine Tochter störte ein wenig, dass der Whirlpool aus technischen Gründen maximal auf 34 °C beheizt werden darf, was aber ohnehin nur im Frühjahr und Herbst von Belang sein dürfte. Der Fußweg in die Altstadt mit ihren malerischen Gässchen und der imposanten Promenade am Meer ist in zehn Minuten bewältigt und auch mit einer Badetasche zu schaffen. Da wir Ende März zudem Glück mit dem Wetter hatten, haben wir unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Danke für alles an Serge, Graziella und Enzo!

Lieber Peter und Familie. Wir freuen uns sehr, dass Sie einen angenehmen Aufenthalt in der Villa und in Menton hatten, es ist eine sehr schöne Stadt! Vielen Dank für Ihren tollen Kommentar, wir freuen uns, Sie und Ihre Familie kennengelernt zu haben. Sie sind eine 5-Sterne-Familie, sehr respektvoll und sehr freundlich. Ja, das stimmt, aus Sicherheitsgründen ist das SPA auf die gleichen Standards eingestellt wie Thermalwasser bei 34°C, um einen Thermoschock zu vermeiden und es wird empfohlen, maximal 20 Minuten zu baden. Um Ihrer Tochter eine Freude zu machen, hätten Sie es uns sagen sollen und wir hätten die Temperatur etwas erhöht. Wir stehen Ihnen jederzeit zur Verfügung, wann immer Sie nach Menton zurückkehren möchten, und Sie werden in der Villa immer willkommen sein. Bis bald . Herzliche Grüße Serge, Graziella und Enzo

Bonheur aux Citronniers

30 ans de mariage fêtés dans ce havre de paix! Accueil chaleureux et personnalisé ! Des hôtes très à l’écoute pour que notre séjour se passe dans le plus grand confort Maison lumineuse, très propre, parfaitement équipée avec une vue à couper le souffle!! Terrasse avec jacuzzi plongeant sur la mer, vrai moment de détente ❤️ Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir

Immer wieder gerne

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt. Die Einrichtung ist wie beschrieben, es war alles vorhanden. Die Gastgeber, Serge, Enzo und Graziela waren sehr nett, hilfsbereit und immer zur Stelle wenn etwas gebraucht wurde. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist traumhaft. Die Anfahrt zum Ferienhaus ist etwas steil, aber der Ausblick belohnt einen dafür. Wenn wir nochmal an die Cote d'Azur fahren, immer wieder gerne in dieses Ferienhaus.

Paradis zwischen Himmel und Erde

Sehr sehr nette englischsprechende Gastgeber eines tollen Hauses, eingehängt zwischen Himmel und Erde mit unvergesslichen Blick auf Land und Meer. Für zwei Paare sehr gut geeignet. Überkomplett ausgestattet, sehr rein und gepflegt. Für "den Deutschen" etwas abenteuerliche Anfahrt über ortsübliche, schmale Straßen. Stadtkern gut zu Fuß zu erreichen (hin 30 min zurück länger, da bergan), Absolut ruhig gelegen mit spektakulärer Aussicht bei Tag und Nacht. Reservierter Parkplatz vorhanden. Ein Traum! Wir werden wiederkommen! Großen Dank an die Familie Cerutti! Petra, Dani, Jürgen und Peter

Villa avec vue exceptionnelle

Des propriétaires très à l'écoute, une villa d'une propreté irréprochable, une vue à couper le souffle, un calme absolu, bref tout pour passer un excellent séjour. Pour ceux qui aiment marcher le sentier vers le vieux Menton est certes pentu mais surtout très agréable. En résumé une adresse où on aimerait bien revenir !!

Traumobjekt in Traumlage

Man fühlt sich privilegiert durch Lage und Ausstattung der Wohnung und zugleich wie zu Hause durch die Herzlichkeit des Empfangs und der Betreuung durch den Gastgeber Serge und seiner Familie.

Magnifique nid d'angle !

Magnifique semaine dans cette belle maison à la vue imprenable ! Tout est fait ici pour que le séjour soit calme, agréable et facile. Serge et Graziella ont le coeur sur la main et partagent leur amour des lieux avec générosité et la volonté de nous rendre simplement heureux.

Why they chose this property

I was born and raised in Menton. Les Citronniers (Lemon Groves) was my family home where I lived with my parents and two brothers. My parents were horticulturalists on the hill of Garavan.
My younger brother lived in the villa until 2010. In 2011, the villa was completely renovated and modernized with brand-new furniture and contemporary décor. The intent was to provide our guests with an ultra-comfortable environment and all the amenities to feel right at home, at an attractive cost.
It was always my dream to share this enchanting place where life is enjoyable all year round. Nestled between sea and mountain with an astonishing view, Les Citronniers is a place of peace, calm or exciting discoveries. The choice is yours!
