Comfortable & spacious 1BDR apt, perfect for 4 DAGA

This comfortable & quiet apartment is located in a stone building in a very family oriented area. The district is close to Montparnasse, not far from the Luxembourg garden and saint Germain (2 subway stations).
One can find butcher shops, fish shop, wine merchant, bakery, cheese shop...everything needed to prepare nice homemade meals very close by !

This 65m² apartment is set up for 2 couples or a family of 4. It is on the third floor (no elevator) of a stone building and is very calm as it gives on 2 private courtyards.

The apt entrance door gives on a corridor with the kitchen and dining area on the left. The living room and the bedroom are located on the right. All areas are covered with a nice wooden floored except the ceramic tiled kitchen and bathroom. There are windows on both sides, the apt is very bright.

• Living room offers a lounge area and is furnished with a comfortable sofa and armchairs. It bathes in natural light and has a fire place (not for use). For the night the living room can be converted into a second bedroom. The sofa opens up into a comfortable bed for two. As seen in the photos, the door of the living room can be closed, thus providing complete privacy.

• The master bedroom offers a comfortable double bed, a writing table and chair, and a wardrobe.

• Kitchen is in a separate room that opens into the dining room. the kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and it offers a window that provides natural light. The dining area has a wooden table and can easily accommodate 4 persons.

• The windows in the apartment overlook a private courtyard and provide natural light. Wooden floors give a warm feeling to those spacious and cosy bedrooms.

• Although not wide, bathroom offers a shower and sink. Toilets are separate (but inside the apt).

Location is very well served by transport making it very practical to discover the city.

As a bonus, Phone calls to land lines in France, and to US, Canada and Australia are generally free. It is also true for more than 50 countries. Moreover, calls to cell phones towards specific countries (often US & Canada) may also be free. Ask us for detail as it may vary with time and policies of operators.

Our stay near Montparnasse

The location was perfect, steps away from the Metro (about 20 minutes to Notre Dame) and many restaurants. Apartment was clean and well kept and it was nice to have a dining room as our living room was used as a second bedroom by utilizing the pull out couch. It was also nice to have a cross breeze as the apartment had windows on both sides.

We really like the location of this apartment, close to three different metro/ RER lines. You can easily reach any of the tourist attractions in Paris.There were many restaurants and bakeries nearby.The apartment itself was spacious with one bedroom and the pull out in the living-room for our daughter. The kitchen had all the basics and the washing machine was a plus.The only thing that was suboptimal was the bathroom. It was really quite small.We would highly recommend this place.

The apartment is a fun and comfortable. Busy thriving neighborhood and super convenient to subway which is important in Paris. The stairs were steep as reported many times, but wouldn't let them be a deterrent to staying here.

Our Second Stay

Wonderful location--a local vibe, great restaurants (esp. L'Empreinte and La Vie d'Ange), cheese and wine shops nearby, Metro very close. And the apartment is quiet! The nearly 70 steps could be an issue for some (and us as we get older) and the decor could do with a little sprucing up. But all in all, a good place to stay in Paris. We will return.

Had a great stay, the apartment was actually larger than it seems in the listing - there is a big room attached to the kitchen and also a living/TV room that we used as a second bedroom with the pullout. Loved the area, its right in the middle of 'Parisian life' without being overly touristed. Quiet, due to being right off a courtyard, not right on the street. Communications with rental office very good and responsive. We stayed for two weeks. Be aware that there are three flights of steps that are pretty steep.

If you want a quiet, safe, clean and roomy apartment in a wonderful area of Paris, stay here. The rooms are spacious and bright and the kitchen well-stocked and functional. We were there during a heatwave (temps in the 90s) but 2 large vertical fans kept us comfortable. We fell in love with the 14th Arrondissemnt. Good restaurants and food shops on the rue Daguerre immediately across from the apartment. Highly recommend Restaurant L'Empreinte a block away. We will stay here again!

Perfect location to explore Paris

This property was perfect for three adults. It is very near a Metro stop which made it easy to navigate Paris and see many things. There is a grocery market across the street as well as many fresh produce, cheese, meat, seafood and bread/pastry shops very close. The property is a third floor walk up. It is well furnished and comfortable. The property manager was very easy to get in touch with. Yves met us at check in to explain things and show us around. We were very happy with our stay at this property.

Great stay in Daguerre (Montparnasse)

Had at great stay at this apartment. The apartment itself was nice, clean and spacious. It was bigger than I had expected (bigger than your average European apartment). Kitchen was stocked with everything I needed to cook daily. Even in the middle of summer, and a heatwave, I didnt need to run fans, the building gets a nice solid constant breeze if you open the front and back windows. No issues with neighbor or street noise. Nice and quiet. Check in was easy and I was able to communicate with the property manager via Whatsapp the entire time. Overall A. Locationwise its an excellect location close to Denfert Rochereau station which has the B, 6 and 4 lines so you can get pretty much anywhere in the city quickly. Rue Daguerre is right outside so you have quick good restaurant/pub options as well as bakery, meat market and grocery very close.

Convenient apartment in the 14th

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment--it is very well located next to all the necessities (metro, groceries, boulangerie, etc.) and in a quieter neighbourhood so we could get away from the crowds. It was quiet and just big enough for our family of four. The kitchen was a bit less equipped than you would need to really cook (no sharp knife, for example), and the apartment has a bit less light than the photos suggest, but truly overall we had a great stay and really appreciated the location and the surrounding neighbourhood--great parks, playground, restaurants, etc.

Great for our long weekend visit

We were met at the apartment by a host who showed us all the important features and answered any questions we had. This apartment was just the right size for 2 adults and two teenagers. Conveniently located near a Metro stop, restaurants and grocery store. Important to know there are more than 50 steps to the third floor and no elevator. The building was quiet which we liked. The hardwood floors can be squeaky and we felt like we had to walk lightly in hopes of not disturbing downstairs residents.

The apartment is located in a charming Parisian building. It is a large comfortable space with a modern kitchen. We are a family of four and stayed comfortable for six weeks. The apartment has plenty of light with its many windows. The windows open to two private courtyards, so the apartment is very quiet in that regard. Although, the floors are creaky old wooden floors. As others have stated, the neighborhood is perfect and has everything at your doorstep. We appreciated the comfort and convenience of this spectacular apartment! Thank you!

4 nights in Paris

My wife and 2 teenage daughters and I spent 4 lovely nights in this Paris flat to celebrate the older’s high school graduation. So many positives, including charm, location, convenience and value. This is exactly what you envision when you think of Paris apartments. The only drawbacks were the 3 flights of stairs with no lift and a very petite shower. I would highly recommend this flat a few miles removed from the hustle and bustle but still in a great location, including grocery store, French bakeries, restaurants and other shops just outside your doorway. An added bonus was it felt very secure with 2 security doors and a courtyard between HBO street and entry.

Perfect location

Very cute and quiiet apartment in a prrfect loacation. The apartment is decorated tastrfully in French style, clean, spacious and fully supplied for our family of 3., it's just a few steps from the metro, the Catacomb and near Jardin du Luxembourg. There are lots of restaurants, bakeries and cafés nearby and across the street. We throughly enjoyed walking the neighborhoods around the aprtment,, found our perfect croissant at a family bakery right around the corner, sat at the cute little café across the street Terres de Cafe to start our day every morning, if you'd like staying in a less trousty area this is it. Communication with the host and their reps was prompt and easy. Tyes, there are a lot of stairs to go up the apartment but we had no problem with that. We will stay again if we come back to Paris.

Bright and spacious apartment in a great neighborhood

I stayed in the Rue Daguerre apartment for a month and couldn't have picked a better spot. The apartment itself is bright and spacious--much larger than I expected from a Paris apartment. The kitchen is quite new, the beds are extremely comfortable, the building itself is quiet and secure. To be frank, I never wanted to leave! The neighborhood is a hidden gem (hidden at least from tourists). I adored shopping in the open-air market along the pedestrian-only portion of Rue Daguerre, but was also happy to have the Monoprix grocery store conveniently located right across the street. And if the neighborhood shopping options aren't enough, Denfert-Rochereau is well connected to the rest of the city by metro. I would recommend the apartment to anyone and will be trying to stay there again next time I'm in Paris!

Wonderful, large apartment in a great neighbourhood

Our 3-generation family of four loved this quiet, comfortable apartment and its location. We were across the street from the grocery store and a pedestrian street of specialty shops (fruit & veg, fish, butcher, bakeries + restaurants), and the metro is 10 seconds from the front door. The apartment itself is across an inner courtyard from the main street, so it was calm and quiet. We slept well in the beds and cooked dinner every night in the kitchen; the shower is hot and the towels were plentiful. There's a collection of guidebooks to Paris, reliable wifi, and wonderful art in every room. All communication with the property manager was prompt and clear, and a really kind woman met us when we arrived and explained everything in the apartment. We just loved this apartment, and we'd love to come back again one day. Many thanks to the owner and the managers!

Great space, great location!

We enjoyed the large amount of space and the ability to have a door to close to the convertible couch/bed room. Lots of space to gather to eat or, in our case, to play cards. Having a washing machine was much appreciated. The shower was a bit small—but it is an old building in Paris. The cross breeze and fans kept us cool. There was a mold issue on the ceiling in the bathroom. So if you are sensitive to that, you should avoid the apartment. Also, there is no elevator and a spiral staircase. We dreaded going up at the end of each day. But the location made up for it! Located steps from the Denfert metro stop. We would stay there again!

A lovely apartment in Montparnasse

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. It was spacious and generally well equipped. The sofa bed was fine for one adult, it may be rather small for two. The apartment is in a very pleasant neighbourhood, with lots of shops and restaurants, and it is in walking distance of central Paris -it is also very close to a Metro station with more than one line and an RER station, so has easy access to all of Paris. Despite its location near many shops and restaurants we found the apartment to be very quiet. We were in Paris during a heatwave but kept cool by opening windows on both sides of the apartment, closing the shutters and using the fans supplied. The kitchen is well equipped but was lacking in cutlery -there were only 4 knives for eating which meant we had to keep washing them up by hand. Some of the cutlery was also rather corroded -a new, dishwasher-safe, stainless steel set, with a lot more knives, is needed. We found the agency to be rather inflexible about arrival times -we had to change our travel arrangements to avoid being charged 60 Euro for arriving after 8pm. Overall, a great place to stay in to visit Paris.
