Juniata Freshman - Family Weekend.

Fantastic property and home. Everything from the bedding, to the towels to the kitchen and cooking equipment and utensils! Everything top notch, they cut ZERO corners. Fast, easy, friendly check-in process. Entire family felt like we were at HOME. Amazing fireplace and cozy feel to the living space. Can’t wait to visit again. Can't say enough good things about Bear's Paw Lodge! Spacious beyond belief and perfect for our family reunion. Lots of comfortable gathering areas, kitchen is a dream to work in and all the wood finishing from ceiling to floor was breathtaking. Wish we could go back in the winter to enjoy the lovely fireplace; maybe we will!

Personable Home with Everything!

We had such a wonderful stay at Bear's Paw Lodge that we are debating going back again, even though we typically change locations for each summer vacation. This property is used by the owners for their family gatherings, so it was stocked as such: it had anything and everything, including a full set of nice plastic dishware for kids, beautiful matching stoneware for grownups, all of the kitchen appliances, lots of towels, REAL toilet paper, nice TV's, puzzles and games, seriously everything one could imagine. The owners personally checked us in and made us feel very welcome.

Great Family Reunion Home

We had an amazing long weekend with our family. The location is private and in a lovely tree setting. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Our family loves to cook together and the kitchen was a cooks dream. Claudia was a great host and excellent communicator. We look forward to returning next year.

Awesome lodge!

Bears Paw was very clean, very well equipped and the perfect place for our family gathering for my dad's memorial service. We had room to put together the things we needed. A very well equipped kitchen, although we didn't cook while there. My husband particularly enjoyed the sauna!

Bears Paw Stay

Not only was the property incredible and exactly what we were looking for, but Claudia was extremely helpful, patient, and kind as well. My wife and I stayed here with our bridal the night before our wedding and, because of the timing of the rehearsal dinner, Claudia was very flexible with making sure we got checked in when it worked for us. Absolutely would recommend staying here, or anywhere managed by Claudia.

Wonderful property, great stay and very pleasant experience with the homeowners

We were looking for a place to stay with extended family over the holidays and found this beautiful home/ log cabin/ bungalow (call it what you will :)) The property itself is very comfortable, extremely well maintained and very well stocked with all the essentials. Claudia, the homeowner, was very kind and a pleasure to work with. She also let us know that we were free to come in anytime during the day and also leave as late as we'd like on the checkout date. We loved our stay - everything from the beautiful fireplace, the large living area, the very comfortable bedrooms to the ping pong table and the sauna. Highly recommend!

perfect location for reunion

This house was the perfect back drop for a three family reunion. There was enough room for all to spread out and find their own space within the house. The kitchen is amazing and very well stocked. I would definately book this house again!
