Peaceful rural retreat

As a family of grandparents, children and grandchildren holidaying together, this has been a great place to stay. Lovely big garden for the children and a swimming pool too. Our hosts were lovely and welcoming. Thank you for a relaxing holiday.

Brilliant stay in a lovely Gite

Another great holiday in the lovely gite. Very comfortable despite hitting 40 degrees. Great games room, garden and of course the pool. Lovely super friendly owners, who made sure we enjoyed our stay. Already looking forward to returning!

Wonderful stay

If you want to experience a truly relaxing stay in beautiful part of rural France then this is the place to go. Surrounded by fantastic countryside the gîte is set on the edge woodland with big open spaces Michel and Bridget are a lovely couple, very welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. Only a kilometre from the local town of Saint Pierre du Cole where you can find all you need to support your stay. The Venice of the Dordogne is about 12 kilometres away, a beautiful place to wonder and take lunch or dinner. I would recommend this place to anyone who wanted to experience France at its best.

Tranquil Perigord region

Well equipped house with extensive well kept grounds and a large well maintained swimming pool. There are several interesting places to visit in the area all an easy short drive away. Or simply walk to the nearby village of St Pierre de Cole (about 15 minutes through a shady wood) or a straightforward 4 minute drive. The owners of the gite who live nearby are charming and helpful without being intrusive. We enjoyed our week and would happily return.

Beautiful surroundings

We had the most wonderful time with our family of 3 generations from New Zealand, Australia and England. The weather was perfect ,the beautiful pool enjoyed by everyone. The forest was enjoyed by us all especially our eldest son from NZ who did the forest walk daily to the Boulangerie for our fresh baguettes and croissants . Michel and Brigette were the perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome . Their property is beautifully maintained and we all agreed that it was a real privilege to holiday here together.. The family came at various stages of our 2 month stay. They left reluctantly. We stayed on and enjoyed the warmth of the fire as Autumn set in .We will all remember fondly our family holiday at Les Gardes in 2023. Would we recommend it for a relaxing long stay where the silence is only disturbed by bird song or a friendly dog …...In a heartbeat!

En arrivant visite avec les propriétaires, logement,terrain de boule ( en pente),salle de jeux ( tres bien) et la pièce maitresse la piscine privée d ou des cris s échappent....A notre grand étonnement la propriétaire nous informe que la piscine n est pas privée alors que c etait bien précisé dans l annonce (annonce modifiée le soir même)Une arrivée plutot stressante compte tenu du trajet et du prix de la location. Les enfants de la famille sont revenus a la piscine dans la semaine comme si nous n etions pas la.Depuis 8 ans jamais de problèmes sur les piscines privées...... avec Abritel. Hormis ce gros désagrément ensemble correct mais trop cher pour une piscine en partage.

Ein wunderschön renoviertes Haus mit einer wunderschönen Parkanlage

Wir waren anfangs Oktober für zwei Wochen in St. Pierre de côle; ideal Ort wenn man Ruhe sucht; die Gross angelegte Parkanlage lädt zum verweilen ein, in der Umgebung gibt es viele verschiedene Spaziermöglichkeiten. Wenn ein Problem auftritt sind die Gastgeber sofort zu Stelle. wir können es nur empfehlen.

Sejour en perigord

Le gite etait très grand et fonctionnel pour une grande famille : grande cuisine, de nombreuses chambres et sdb. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et disponibles. Les environs sont magnifiques pour des balades à travers les forets. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Nous recommandons cette location.

Relaxing stay in lovely property.

The property was very comfortable, well equipped and spacious. The garden was huge (our dog was in heaven) the swimming pool was great as was the games room/gym. Michel and Brigitte, the owners, were very friendly and helpful, always sociable but never intrusive. They made every effort to communicate and with their English and our French, we did not have any language difficulties. A great place for an interesting, relaxing holiday - we would not hesitate to recommend.

A little slice of paradise in the Dordogne.

When we came up the single track road, through the trees, and the land opened up before us, we were blown away by the beautiful setting. The house is well equipped and the pool area is great. There's so much to do so please explore - especially the caves and the beautiful town of Brantome. The hosts were lovely and really helpful and relaxed.

Gite Les Gardes.

We had a wonderful 2 week stay at gite Les Gardes. A lovely, characterful property in a beautiful location. The grounds and wonderful swimming pool were perfect for all the different ages groups! The gite was very well equipped and remained cool when the temperatures were high (dog was grateful!)! The games room with table football, snooker and gym equipment was a super added bonus The village of St.Pierre de Cole is walkable and the beautiful town of Brantome only a 10min drive. On top of which the owners are delightful and always helpful. All in all a really great holiday for us all-would love to return! Caroline and Alen

Zeer aangename ontvangst door de eigenaars. De accommodatie is zeer rustig op een heuvel gelegen en voorzien van alle comfort zoals beschreven in de advertentie. De recreatie ruimte is een groot pluspunt zeker voor jongeren (en de papa's). Het zwembad is ruim en verzorgd, voorzien van voldoende ligzetels en ander meubilair. Voldoende centraal gelegen om de Perigord te verkennen. Kortom Top vakantie.
