Located in the heart of 'Grand Meaulnes' country, in one of the farm buildings discretely associated with the family château, the house enjoys a secluded river view. Guests are welcome to explore the extensive private grounds of the estate, and fishing is available in the river and lakes. While this serene haven is close to nature, it is comfortably appointed with modern conveniences to a high standard.
Chambord and Cheverny are only a 45 minute drive away along quiet country roads where there is a good chance of seeing wildlife such as roe deer, stags and wild boar crossing.. come and see !
The big swimming pool is very nice and you'll like to rest there.

A wonderful house to stay in, very tranquil, and Jehanne was so helpful and kind. We had a wonderful stay with two families, and four 10-13 year old boys.

Beautiful accommodation in a lovely setting. Great facilities (tennis, pool, sauna, jacuzzi), outdoor dining, barbecue, next to a river, lovely owners, close to a town that has good food outlets. Very peaceful, plenty of wildlife (deer, foxes, cormorants, kestrels). Very relaxing! Hostess very helpful in every way! Thanks for a very nice stay!

Perfect holiday

Great stay with very friendly owners of the property. Only area for improvement is WiFi connection, but the benefit of having limited internet is a real holiday :-)

Beautiful house for a brilliant holiday

The gite was as described and in a beautiful setting. It was a super place to relax, the children made the most of the trampoline and we all loved the swimming pool. The town of Romorantin is worth a visit and has everything you need. We didn't do as much as we had planned because of the heat but it is a lovely part of France

Wonderful stay

We had an absolutely lovely time staying in this wonderful Gite. It is positioned in stunning grounds next to a larger Chateau. There are beautiful woodlands, lakes and a River all on the door step. The property was really clean and had everything you could want. We really enjoyed using the pizza oven and BBQ and watching the deer in the evenings. Lots for the kids to do, nice clean swimming pool, trampoline, table tennis and a tennis court to name a few. It’s a perfect location for a nice quiet getaway with the ability to go and explore the Loire valley and beyond if you so wish. I would hesitate recommending and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and gracious. Thanks you

A peaceful gite in the grounds of a chateau!

The owner Jeanne-Claire is absolutely lovely and wants everything to be as easy, comfortable and relaxing as possible for her guests. She was so helpful and responsive every time we needed anything and it was a always a pleasure to chat and find out about the chateau and it’s history and the area. She was very sorry that the WiFi wasn’t working during our stay. If WiFi is important to you, it might be worth checking with her first. The cottage is comfortable with a particularly easy and relaxing lliving room downstairs…but best of all is the outside space with view of the small river and bridge and forests beyond. There is a huge table for outside meals…particularly lovely in the evening when the light is pink and sun has set. The grounds of the chateau are lovely … with a couple of small lakes (shallow and not used for fishing when we were there in a hot and dry August) and a shared swimming pool and a fantastic tennis court. And table tennis! The pool cd be busy if both the gite guests and the chateau guests wanted to use it at the same time ….but it was never a problem. We had the pool to ourselves most of the time. This is a lovely holiday destination if you want to do very little. The English family holidaying in the chateau when we were there seemed to be out and about all the time (visiting the fabulous castles I think) but we were very lazy and spent our days at the pool and the court. The super market is between 10 and 15 mins. One useful point perhaps that we didn’t see mentioned on the website is that one of the double rooms (with en suite bathroom) is downstairs. That worked out really well for my 90 year old mother. Last thing to mention is Jeanne-Claire has a friend who will can cook and deliver a very nice meal for you. This worked out so much cheaper than going our for a meal and it lasted us for 2 nights!

Gite très propre, bien équipé et cosy avec la grande cheminée pour laquelle le bois était fourni. Entre le cadre magnifique, la propriétaire très gentille et arrangeante pour notre arrivée, nous avons passé un très bon moment. Bonne literie, jolies chambres, stationnement devant le gite parfait.

Autour de super Mamie !!

Le projet était de réunir pendant 5 jours, arrière-petits -enfants, petits enfants et enfant autour d’une personne de 94 ans et que tout le monde se sente bien : malgré une météo très peu favorable , ce fut une réussite grâce au lieu, spacieux, confortable et dépaysant.Merci beaucoup pour la qualité de la prestation.

Bonheur en Sologne

Week-end de Pâques en famille dans ce havre de paix que propose Jehanne Claire. Le gîte spacieux, propre et très bien équipé nous a permis de passer du temps au coin du feu car la météo ne nous était pas très favorable ! Nous avons pu nous promener dans la forêt voisine mais aussi visiter le zoo de Beauval, le musée Matra ainsi que le château de Cheverny. Merci à la propriétaire accueillante et attentionnée.

enfin des vacances au calme

une famille de 3 couples d'adultes : nous avons tous apprécié le gite de Jehanne-Claire : elle nous a accueilli à bras ouverts, avec toute sa gentillesse et sa générosité. le gite est spacieux, bien équipé : la chambre de plein pied est idéale et le duo sauna/jacuzzi est fortement apprécié aussi. la cuisine est largement équipée, nous avons pu cuisiné des gâteaux, des grands plats, profité du four à pain pour la soirée pizzas, du BBQ pour les côtes de boeuf ... le parc et ses alentours, étangs, chemins sont un "petit bonheur" de calme, de sérénité, de beauté ... et ravissent les pêcheurs (avec l'accord de la propriétaire) le gite d'à côté ne nous a pas plus posé de gêne que ça. de l'avis général, nous reviendrons très certainement

Un super séjour

Gîte très confortable et dans un environnement magnifique et sauvage à la fois (nous avons vu des biches et chevreuils sauvages en fin de journée). La propriétaire est très accueillante. Nous avons passé une très belle semaine de vacances en famille et entre amis (avec enfants en bas âge) ! Le gîte est spacieux, très bien équipé, le tout dans dans un cadre enchanteur, avec vue sur la nature et la rivière. L'accueil était parfait, et la propriétaire chaleureuse et discrète.

Natur und Erholung

Wir fanden unseren Urlaub sehr erholsam. Wer Natur und Ruhe mag ist hier genau richtig. Nur das schnattern der Wildgänse war zu hören. Gut gepflegter Pool. Sportmöglichkeiten wie Tennisplatz, Tischtennis etc. vorhanden. WLAN war für heutige Verhältnisse etwas zu langsam. Die Ausstattung in der Küche ist mehr als ausreichend. Cooler Kühlschrank mit Einswürfelbereiter. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in der Umgebung vorhanden.Check in und Check out war alles kein Problem. Sehr netter Empfang. :-)

Escapade à la campagne.

Très bon séjour en pleine campagne. Nous voulions une semaine reposante et calme et nous l'avons eu et pu profiter de la piscine sans autre occupants mais le dernier jour, l'occupation du château mitoyen (15 à 20 personnes) a un peu changé la donne. Merci à Mme de Beauchesnes pour sa présence discrète et sa gentillesse.

Prachtige en rustige locatie. Een aanrader!

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in deze Gite! De gastvrouw was erg aardig en sprak naast frans ook zeer goed engels. De locatie is werkelijk prachtig en rustig gelegen op een enorm landgoed grenzend aan het kasteel met voldoende privacy. We zaten er met ons gezin van 3 pubers en ook voor hen was het aangenaam vertoeven oa vanwege het ruime zwembad. Ook in de omgeving is veel moois te zien! Hier komen we graag nog eens terug!

Belle semaine de repos en famille

Un peu déçu par les possibilités de pêche, l'étang principal de la propriété n'étant pas accessible (réserve de chasse). Gîte et piscine sont super et conforme à la description. Bain à bulles et sauna ont été appréciés par tous. Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour.

Superbe domaine …..gîte très confortable et chaleureux …. Vue sur la nature et les chevreuils …. Possibilité de visiter de nombreux châteaux …. Le zoo de beauval …. Ou de farniente dans la propriété ( pêche possible …. Piscine … tennis … ballades )dépaysement total ! Sans oublier la bienveillance de la propriétaire à tous niveaux ….. On recommande à 💯 !!!!
