About this property
Beautifully designed open plan home in picturesque countryside village of Amport
Beautiful, 3000sq foot home in the middle of the picturesque Hampshire countryside. Colourful and sophisticated open-plan layout designed for modern living. We have a garden Games Room with full size Kettler ping pong table and a wonderful wood burner for cosy winter evenings. Just a stone's throw from our infamous village pub ‘The Hawk’, a pretty meandering stream, quintessential Village Green and gorgeous rambling country walks. It really is the perfect getaway for families small and large!
Our house is perfect for a family 4 (as we are) or for entertaining up to 10 guests and consists of:
- Wonderful open plan kitchen, great for entertaining, which opens out onto our large terraced garden via French doors. Our dining table seats 8 comfortably, with extra chairs should you wish to seat 10.
- Open plan sitting room/playroom, which also opens out onto the garden.
- Formal drawing room with wood burner.
- Downstairs loo.
- First floor of house containing 4 x double bedrooms (one with en suite) and 1 x family bathroom. One of the double beds can be set up as 2 x single beds.
- Second floor of house (converted loft) containing 1 x double bedroom with its own shower room.
We have a lovely large landscaped garden, which boarders fields and open countryside.
Our kitchen is fitted with a cosy electric Aga, which is on 24/7 and programmed to be very hot in the evening. You can cook at any time of day in any of the 4 ovens which are listed in order of temperature:
Top right - Roasting Oven
Bottom right - Baking Oven
Bottom left - Simmering Oven
Top left - Warming Oven
There is also an additional electric toaster, kettle and microwave for your use.
You are welcome to use the Nutri Bullet and Nespresso d’Longhi coffee machine (which requires pods).
Filtered water is available from the cold tap at the main kitchen sink.
Our lovely local pub (The Hawk) can be accessed through a secret gate in our garden. It is a gorgeous spot for a sundowner!
We can recommend a wonderful local cook who often prepares food for our guests (either in advance and dropped off to you, or served on site as you wish).
We are also lucky to have a superb mobile massage therapist who can be booked for treatments during your stay. A lovely way to relax and unwind!
There are lots of pretty walks from our doorstep (for which maps are provided) and there is a footpath that runs alongside our property, which takes you past fields with the friendliest ponies! It can be accessed directly from the gate at the top of the garden.
Our village green is just a 5 minute walk. It is a gorgeous spot for a picnic and is equipped with fab play equipment.
Please enquire about discounts for bookings of 7 nights or more. Should you wish to bring a dog, please note there is an additional cleaning fee of £50 per dog.

About the host
Hosted by Emily
We are a family of four, who love to share our house with people looking for a special get away in the beautiful countryside. We take great pride in our home and hope that you will enjoy your time here as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
We love our house and village so much. It is such a peaceful, pretty area with gorgeous rambling country walks and complete serenity. Yet we have the very popular market towns of Stockbridge, Marlborough and Winchester on our doorstep. All have fantastic shops, pubs and restaurants which we visit regularly. Added to that, a wonderful pub located via a secret gate at the top of our garden. It doesn't get much better than that!
What makes this property unique
Here are some of the wonderful testimonials from guests who have stayed at Holly Tree House:
"The pictures show a beautiful home but in reality the house exceeded all of our expectations. The house is set in a stunning location and Emily made us feel so welcome. The house is so spacious yet cosy."
"This beautiful house is very clean and tidy, and is decorated to a very high standard, but it still feels very homely. Its spacious and light...and we loved it! We particularly enjoyed "chilling" in the large kitchen, playing in the large garden, and relaxing in the sitting room, in font of the wood-burner. It's also a really child-friendly house, with lots of resident toys."
"We were looking for the perfect place for a girlie get together and fell upon this beautiful house in an idyllic village. We weren't disappointed. Spacious and beautifully decorated, this was a wonderful place to spend a leisurely weekend".
"The house is well decorated, big (yet cosy) with comfy beds, brand new bathrooms, a large dinning table and an incredible kitchen. The garden is huge, there are fantastic walks from the doorstep and a pub at the end of the garden. It really was perfect.....Please don't hesitate to book!!!"
"The living space is open plan but still very cosy - perfect for cooking and spending time in."
