Town: Salen, a small village on the Isle of Mull, is perfectly placed for exploring the island. Salen has two hotels, a coffee shop and a restaurant, and both the ferry terminal and islands capital town are around 15 miles away. There is great walking in the countryside around Salen, as well as mountain biking and pony trekking. The town of Tobermory has a choice of places to eat, as well as a chocolate factory and whisky distillery.
