This year-round property has been in the family over 60 years! We have nurtured, renovated and added to it as changing life-styles and family requirements have dictated. It is precious to us since many a memorable summer, winter and fall holiday have been celebrated here. It really has not been shared with anyone but family since the early 1960's. We invite you to share in this magical place we call "The Cottage."
M. Christine Burt purchased this Cottage in 1998
What makes this Cottage unique
Waterfront home - step out onto the deck and down to Lake Pocotopaug, Connecticut's largest natural lake. Drag your canoe, kayak or float less than 10 feet into the pristine waters, which are fueled by nature. Easily accessible from points north, south, east and west via route 66. Centrally located making commutes to many attractions a spur of the moment decision. But who would want to leave this west facing home and the always lovely view of a sinking sun and rising moon.
