About this property

Typical Andalusian House (sXVII)

Typical Andalusian house in Sanlucar de Barrameda (Cádiz, Andalucía, Spain). Sanlúcar is one of the most captivating examples of the spirit of Andalucía, in the South of Spain. Sanlúcar shares history and culture in a unique nature frame on the Guadalquivir river mouth just opposite to Doñana National Park.
The house is located in the most representative street of the Barrio Alto (High District) that is the historical center of the town with narrow streets, white house facades, sherry wineries, and aristocratic palaces such as the Renaissance Palace of Medina Sidonia (100 m distance) or the newer Palace of Orleans and Bourbon, just opposite the house.
The house date back to the second half of s XVII, and it is protected as historical heritage. It has been recently restored in 2001, respecting the original house structure, doors, ceilings, wooden beams and floors.
The rented part of the house has a charming Andalusian patio (courtyard) including two living spaces within and plenty of plants such as kentias, aspidistras, a banana tree and a jasmine; three bedrooms, one of them 95 m2, and three bathrooms. The total surface of this ground floor is 310 m2. The second floor has a full equipped kitchen and a pretty terrace above the patio, a gallery and an entrance hall (40 m2). Finally at the roof floor a chill out area and a laundry room are also available (approx. Extra 50 m2).
The rates include daily housekeeping service (except weekends) and an optional garage 400 m far distance from the house.
Suitability: children and pets are welcomed, almost fully accessibility for disabled in the ground floor, smoking allowed in the outside areas of the house.

Spectacular house!
What an amazing house! It had won awards for its restoration and it's truly beautiful. The space is enormous, yet there are many cosy corners too. The main bedroom suite has a bigger floor plan than our whole house in the UK! The house has everything you could need for a stay. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and everything you need for your comfort is provided, from a welcome basket with tea/coffee/milk/biscuits etc , to a fridge with sherry and olives. The showers are powerful and hot. There is a lovley roof terrace with sun loungers , which has the most spectacular view of the sunset every evening. The location is excellent too, situated on the Upper Town, close to bodegas and bars but less than 15 minutes walk to the beach and the bustling centre . The market is 5 minutes away and there you can find a wonderful selection of local produce. We bought enough clams, langoustines and prawns for a feast for five people and it was less than €25. The best restaurant in town (El Espejo) is two doors away.the tasting menu is superb. The owner is super helpful and always responded very quickly to any queries. The house is kept very clean by the wonderful Maria José, who met us when we arrived and came during our stay to clean and tidy, change beds and towels etc. She is a miracle worker. I highly recommend this stunning property.

Maravillosa casa
Una preciosa casa antigua, limpia, bonita decoración, junto al mercado de abastos y a un paso de cualquier sitio. No muy cerca de la playa pero hemos cogido el coche para ir a las maravillosas playas de Rota y Chipiona.
