About the host
Hosted by Sheila McDermott
We are a family of 4, living on a busy farm in Sligo.
We have been happily involved in the Self Catering business since 2006 with our very popular Beach House in Aughris.
In 2012 we bought and renovated another property The Snug in Dunkineely, South Donegal, for our own use and also as a Holiday Let.
We are adding to our Holiday Home Portfolio, as we continue to source and renovate good properties in great locations on the Wild Atlantic Way.
From our years in business we know that our guests want luxurious accommodation in a special unforgettable location.

Why they chose this property
We have been admiring this property for years and saddened by its neglect whilst at the same time seeing the ever-increasing popularity of Easkey as a Holiday Destination.
What makes this property unique
This is truely a fine building, built c1900, burnt down during War and rebuilt in 1930s. It has a fabulous structure with large rooms, high ceilings, lots of open spaces. It is a protected building and documented as "This Arts and Crafts Movement influenced Garda Station, at the edge of Easky, contrasts markedly with the typical architecture of the town with its hipped roofs, multiple chimneystacks and sprocketed eaves. The retention of original sash windows to the sides and rear is particularly pleasing"
For holiday makers it offers a different type of accommodation, for example the bathroom was the former cell, the only evidence now being the heavy door with it's spy-hole (Now covered over!)
