About this property

EXPLORE THE VENDEE IN THIS WONDERFUL TOWN HOUSE. 20 MINUTES FROM THE BEACHES

A comfortable 3 bedroom town house, set in the centre of Champ St Père in the Vendée. It has large airy rooms with high ceilings and exposed beams.

There is parking directly in front of the house for one car, and further parking in the local church car park only 30m away. Inside, the house is nicely laid out, with a games room for the children and a large lounge with TV, DVD player and UK and FRENCH satellite channels. The games room has a pool table and lots of books and games for all ages.

Patio doors from the lounge lead out to the sheltered courtyard, where you will find a table, chairs and parasol and BBQ

The Kitchen is well equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee maker.

There is a shower room on the ground floor (with shower, WC and Sink), and a further, shower room with shower, WC and hand basin on the first floor near to the three bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed and the other two each has two single beds. Stair gates are provided for the safety of younger children.

Wi-Fi Internet access is available in the house, and there is lots of tourist information available so that you can decide where to visit.

Champ St Pere also has a lakeside picnic area, sports centre, swimming pool, tennis courts, boules / petanque area, local football ground and a tourist office.It also has a bank, pharmacy, patisserie, two bars and a restaurant, as well as a supermarche within walking distance for all your needs.

Red Shutters is ideally located for the beach (20mins drive) and the new O'Gliss Water Park and Indian forest adventure park which is only 10 minutes drive away. There are also great walking and cycling routes nearby. Including the beautiful Vallee de l'Yon (well worth a visit, 10 mins away by car) plus fishing lakes, golf courses and various brocantes (antique shops)

The cities and airports of Nantes and La Rochelle within an hours drive away, making Red Shutters the perfect for base for exploring the area.

Bon séjour quand même dans la région .mais pour la maison des choses a revoir : bruit lors du remplissage des toilettes au premier étage, passage fréquent de voiture (pollution ,bruit, stationnement de celles ci devant l'entrée,pas de table sur la terrasse et disjoncteur qui saute souvent etc .... Dommage sinon belle maison

Great summer break with a young family

A lovely, well situated property in the heart of the village which is close to the beautiful sandy beaches of the west coast. The property has very good facilities, everything you need for a home from home experience. There was plenty of room, great sofas, large fridge and games room. Highly recommended.

The Property has everything you need for a more than comfortable stay. The House is located in a great area . With shops and a few bars within walking distance. The adventure parks are 10 mins away,and the beaches are 25mins away. La Roche and Lucon 20 mins away. La Rochelle amd Nantes 45 to 55 mins away. A perfect place to explore the area and then come back to and relax. Huge comfy sofas. English and french tv and wi-fi . 2 bathrooms and a games room . The weather was sunny and 32 degrees. Amazing !

Lovely place to stay, has everything you can need and very comfortable. 20 minutes or so and you’re at some of the most gorgeous beaches we’ve been to. Local bar is friendly but doesn’t speak any English. I would take a French dictionary with you as not a lot of English spoken

We had a great time ! The house has everything in it for a great stay . Including games room and wi-fi . It was perfect to come back to and relax after days out exploring the Vendee region. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great base and a great place to relax . Very close to the theme parks and situated perfectly fornthe rest of the Vendee area. We had a great holiday . A very comfortable typical French town house situated at the heart of a lovely village.

We found the house to be very comfortable and bigger than we expected. It was fully equipped with everything we needed. We catered for all our meals and though we had hoped to use the outside space for eating we ate inside as the weather wasn't as nice as we hoped. The table was big enough for the five of us. There was always plenty of piping hot water and the Wifi was fast and reliable ( a must for our two grandchildren). The English Tv was also a plus, though we maybe shouldn't admit it. We found lots to do within a 30 minute radius of the village. The more adventurous would find plenty more. Having the supermarket and bakery so near suited us too. We were disappointed that the nearest swimming pool was in La Tranche, 30 minutes away, and the Water Park was full the day we went. We hadn't realised it was a bank holiday and it was the best day of the fortnight, weather wise. The Indian Forest was brilliant, even for an oldie like me. La Roche-sur-Yon was a lovely town, especially the area around Place Napoleon. We bring home with us very happy memories of an extremely great, value for money, family break in France. Many thanks to Stuart for being so helpful with all our queries, when you book a holiday using a website it is so reassuring to get such quick helpful responses.

BEAUTIFULLY COSY

My family and I were super impressed with this property! The owner was lovely to speak to and answered any questions I had including about the local attractions for the children, such as the beach and waterparks (which were only a short drive away). The location was fantastic in the middle of the town and had lovely walks through the main streets soaking up the French country-side atmosphere. I appreciated the instruction manuals the owner left out for us as this was a nice personal touch.The property was well maintained and came with everything a travelling family would need such as a laundry, fully equipped kitchen and cosy spacious bedrooms. I would highly recommend Red Shutters holiday home to anyone wishing to visit this town or region. I will definitely be returning with my family next time I am back in France!

Red Shutters-a spacious and comfortable house.

We had a very good week at this house. Local shops were within walking distance and sandy beaches, lovely countryside for picnics and places to take children were all just a short drive away. All in all everything we needed without too much effort which gave us more time to relax. We would recommend Red Shutters.

Red shutters is the ideal location to explore the whole of the Vendee. The Townhouse is set in a village with everything you need within walking distance. Including 2 bars, Pharmacy, and a supermarket. With the Local vine yards just 10 minutes away, and a water and adventure Park just 15 minutes away, you will easily fill your days. After which you can come home and relax in a very comfortable setting of the house.
