This refurbished apartment is on the small and quiet Las Orquideas complex in central Puerto del Carmen. Less than 10 minutes walk brings you to the centre of the promenade and the golden sands of Playa Grande. The apartment has a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, both with built in wardrobes, windows and good lighting. There is a safety deposit box for guests' use. The apartment is larger than average and the spacious living area has contemporary furniture, a comfortable L-shaped sofa (which makes into a sofa bed if you have a 5th guest), TV with UK and international channels (via internet), and dining area. The apartment also benefits from a new fitted kitchen - this has a full sized oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and washing machine. A brand new bathroom has also been installed, with large walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet. The apartment is on the ground floor with a large terrace, furnished with table and chairs with cushions for alfresco meals, and two sunloungers. The terrace looks onto the communal pool area, which has sunloungers. The apartment has free wifi. There are fans in the lounge and both bedrooms.

That good I’ve booked it again.

We were in Lanzarote for a month, but staying here was the best thing. Central in the resort, quiet due to makeup of people staying and owning. That good booked for next year already.

Home from home

We stayed for a month, a treat for both our special birthdays. We chose this property because we knew the area and it had a washing machine. What a little gem. Clean, modern, comfy, in a great quiet complex with a good pool. Very well equipped, everything you could need in the kitchen, loads of space, large rooms and lots of storage space. We only had one issue in a month and Gill the host sorted it ASAP. We like to go to Lanzarote twice a year and have done so for 18 years, I can’t believe we didn’t know about this property, from now on we will try to book it every time.

Wonderful stay.

Everything was wonderful, the only downfall was that we had to leave 3 days early due to our dog being very poorly at home. The accommodation was spotless and well fitted out with everything required. The area was lovely and peaceful but not too far to walk to get to the beach, main strip, bus stops or supermarkets. The pool area was clean with a lovely area to sunbathe. We enjoyed the time we stayed here and look forward to returning.

Great Landing Place for Skiing at Schweitzer

Overall terrific! Plenty of space. Nice kitchen. Cozy. We enjoyed the 2 bedrooms / living room upstairs for the teens. Hubby and I took downstairs. Loved it. Minor issue with neighbor's guest parking in a way that blocked access to the garage. There is no other parking so this is important to have access.

The apartment is managed personally by Gill Pegge, assisted by her husband and daughter. Gill worked as a manager in several 4 and 5* hotels in the UK before moving to the beautiful island of Lanzarote in 2012. Being on the island allows Gill to meet and greet guests, make sure they are familiar with the apartment’s facilities, as well as passing on advice and recommendations to enhance their holidays. Being on the island also allows Gill to very quickly sort out any problems which guests may have. Gill has a passion for Lanzarote and has never had a more enjoyable 'job' than making sure that guests have a relaxing and memorable holiday.

Why they chose this property

Lanzarote has year round sunshine and blue skies. Puerto del Carmen has the best choice of restaurants and bars we have ever come across, and the ambiance and variety of the resort’s facilities appeals to guests of all ages.

The Las Orquideas Complex is secure, quiet and friendly and isn’t used by tour companies, so you don’t have the noise and activity of some of the larger complexes. The apartments on this complex are a good size and are light and airy.

What makes this property unique

Guests comment on the convenient location of the complex, and are amazed that such a peaceful and tranquil apartment can be found just 7 minutes walk from the lively main promenade. Also, being only a 10 minute journey from the airport makes transfers very easy. The fact that the apartment is spacious and airy, is a great bonus too.
