A beautiful, well-restored old country house-styled home in the Northern part of Helsinki. Peaceful and nice surroundings, with only 15 min from the airport. A large open veranda with grill, and a garden. Upright piano, fully-equipped kitchen, sauna.

LAST-MINUTE JULY RATES -15%! The discounted rates are the ones you can find here. (Normally high-season base rate 240 €)

Family-friendly are with a next-door park with animals in the summer time. Playground, football pitch, etc. Super calm, but close to services.

You could park your car in the yard. There's a but stop just around the corner, several buses stop there, that you can take either to the city center or the other way (Vantaa-Tikkurila) and also to the airport. Taxi from the airport costs only around 20-23 € and takes usually less than 15 minutes.

Rather dilapidated, quirky house w/overgrown garden in Helsinki

Sauna didn’t work, basin in shower room cracked, no lock on door. Dirty dishes in dishwasher, old vegetables in fridge. No curtains/blinds in 2bedroons, no clothes storage in2 bedrooms. Very small 2nd double bed. No gas for BBQ. No information about rubbish/recycling.broken cupboard door, broken power outlet taped up but hanging off wall, broken coffee maker on kitchen floor. Every drawer full of owners possessions, owners clothes left in wardrobes. Overpriced for quality.not suitable for 10 as stated.

Impression of accommodation

The house was well equipped in a quiet area. The wifi was good and the TV was a good size and had a sharp picture.No owner subscriptions to other streaming such as Netflix. The furniture was shabby in places and we could not find extra towels or linen if needed. The mattresses were poor, too soft especially upstairs.There were some broken door handles, a record player that jumped and a steep uneven spiral stair case that could have caused an injury. The bath had to be filled by a shower which was not over the bath directly and emtied directly into the shower drain. Downstairs the shower was in a general utility room with no lock on the door. The freezer for drinking water or ice did not work.There was only one set of keys ,more would have been better . There was no manuel to assist with practical house keeping such as kitchen equipment,rubbish collections or local information such as supermarkets or transport links. This though was given after asking the owner via email before we left but written instructions in English would have been better in the house as well There was no recommendations regarding sights to visits restaurants or cafes

From the USA to Finland with our little family of 6!

Pekka was a very good host! He was there when I arrived getting ready for our stay since we were early! Everyone loved the uniqueness of the house and I especially loved the tub! I have never seen a tub so LARGE! Once we figured the bus routes, we were able to navigate down to city center! We really enjoyed Helsinki! If we ever come back, we will definitely stay here again!

Ferienhaus mit viel Charme

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Organisation und Kommunikation mit Pekka hat hervorragend funktioniert. Das Haus hat viel Charme und man fühlt sich wohl. Die große Küche lädt zu gemütlichen Abenden ein. Direkt vor der Tür befindet sich eine Bushaltestelle, mit guter Anbindung in die Stadt. Einzig und allein der Garten müsste ein bisschen besser gepflegt werden, da könnte man noch einiges draus machen. Wir haben diesen wetterbedingt jetzt nicht genutzt, aber für die Sommermonate wäre dies sicherlich toll. Dann kann man auch schöne Grillabende machen.
