About this property

Superb country house with heated, 12m pool!

Casita Palmera is a gorgeous, rustic house that sits in the stunning 'valley of a thousand palms' of Haria, Lanzarote with superb walks & bike trails.

The dining room & outside patio have superb views over the valley.

We offer lower rates for couples only

We have a 12x5 meter heated pool (always over 30 degrees) & large BBQ area.

We also have freerange chickens on site so you can help yourself to fresh eggs in the morning!

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE SWIMMING POOL.
Whilst the swimming pool works on a 'shared' basis, it is only shared with a maximum of 2 other guests who may have booked the Penthouse (Adults only, no Children).

It is also important to point out that from the terrace / patio of the main house you cannot see the swimming pool and likewise, anyone in the pool cannot see you either. It's a very private area and a fair distance away from the patio area of the house.

I.e. If you are sat having a morning coffee on the terrace, you cannot see the pool.
You'll see from the photo's that the house has been decorated to a high standard.

The house sits on a total plot size of over 5000 square meters.

We have 14 will established palm trees on our land, all well over 150 years old and home to many owls!

Interaction with guests

We live next door so you can give us a knock any time you like but we fully respect your privacy.

Other things to note

In 2017, 18 & 19, 20 and 21 we were awarded a 'Certificate of Excellence' from Trip Adviser followed by an Air BnB 'Superhost' award plus Premier Partner Status with Homeaway.

We do have 3 dogs and 3 cats - "Blackie, Bob, Floss, Chester, Socks and Sooty" that will be around - All are very friendly and non aggressive.

They have been trained not to enter the property.

We also have freerange chickens on site so you can help yourself to fresh eggs in the morning!

If you are not an animal lover then this property is probably not best suited to you...

Really nice holiday house away from the crowds

Great house very well equipped, and comfortable for the 5 of us. Good location with places to eat within walking distance but far away from the crowds. Heated pool was lovely in March even a little too hot! Great directions and tips on supermarkets, days out and restaurants from the very helpful owner next door

A beautiful, quiet and spacious house on the edge of a small Canarian village.

We all thouroughly enjoyed our stay at Casita Palmera. A well appointed house perfect for our break on the island and so different from previous visits to Lanzarote. It stands in huge contrast from the bright lights and noise of the normal resorts so common on the island yet is only 5 mins by car to the nearest beach and 20 mins to the larger town of Costa Teguise. It really was a taste of the real Lanzarote, off the beaten track away from the tourist version of the island. A great place to retreat to after a days exploring. Our host, Marcus, proved to be by far the best host we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. His knowledge of the island, places to see and eat was invaluable to us. Nothing was too much trouble. Bob, Blackie, Floss, Luca and Chester, the resident (4 legged) locals were particularly friendly and great fun to have around. Each one a wonderful character. Marcus, many thanks again for having us. Keep up the great work. If you are ever in our neck of the woods, you'd be more than welcome.

Beautiful, well appointed house away from the crowds

This is a lovely place - spacious and comfortable with lots of little touches. We spent a very happy week exploring Lanzarote, with Jameos del Agua and the Cactus Garden our favourite Cesar Manrique sites. Our teenage daughter loved the camel rides at Timanfaya and I loved the rocky north-east coast with its little hidden white sand bays. Evenings during our week were chilly, but the house is cosy, with a wood-burning stove and a heated pool. Marcus is a great host who made us feel very welcome.

Brilliant pool and lovely hosts

We spent 11 nights in Haría at this lovely house with amazing pool. The pool was heated to a constant temperature of 32 degrees which was great because without it we would not have been able to stay in very long due to the fairly strong winds. The house is extremely peaceful and quiet which is just what we were looking for to help recharge our batteries and Marcus could not have been more helpful. I was a bit apprehensive booking a house online but Marcus was always available to answer any questions I had before we went and he also organised our car rental which was great as we have had bad experiences in the past. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to spend quality time with their family in a peaceful location with an amazing pool.

Delightful Villa and Ideal Base for Discovering Lanzarote

We spent a lovely week here on our first visit to Lanzarote. The house is quite superb, much bigger than it looks and with all the amenities you need for your stay. Marcus and Heidi are the perfect hosts and on hand for advice and tips that will enhance your holiday. The heated pool is great and thanks to the cover remains at a constant warm temperature even in the cooler months. The location is good too if you prefer somewhere quiet and away from the big resorts. The village centre is a five minute walk away and has a number of restaurants and shops and the island is small enough that you don't have to drive far to get to the attractions that the island has to offer. We are happy to highly recommend this property.

Beautiful house and wonderful pool.

Such a relaxing week. Satisfied whole family's requirements, from Wi-Fi, Netflix to beautiful view and peaceful location. Could walk into town so easily. Arrieta beach lovely.

Lovely house in stunning setting

We loved our stay. The house is beautiful with lots of space for a family of five and the large heated pool was a massive hit with the kids. Really peaceful setting with stunning views - only a short walk to pretty Haria and an easy drive to lovely local beaches and brilliant Cesar Manrique sights.

Quirky and comfortable

Although we have stayed in various parts of the island previously this was the first time we have had the pleasure of staying in Haria. What a lovely place it is. An oasis of green. So quiet after the bustle of the tourist areas. The casita itself is a delight. Quirky, comfortable accommodation offering everything one would require. It provided an extremely relaxing bolt hole to enjoy our holiday. A mention should be made to Marcus and Heidi. We have stayed in numerous properties throughout the years but they were the most welcoming and helpful that we have come across. We hope you go from strength to strength in your venture. You deserve it !.

Why they chose this property

If you want to be far away from the resorts - this could be a good choice for you.

Its very quiet and we have some lovely walks from a trail at the bottom of our huge garden.

The walk in to town is just 5 to 10 minutes and the drive to the beach is only 5 minutes also.

We have 3 very friendly dogs and cats that share the garden area (they have been trained not to enter the house).

If you are not an animal lover then this property is probably not best suited to you.
