Thank you for your stay and thank you for leaving the house in PERFECT condition. We look forward to your return.
Host is exceptionally responsive and nice. House is beautiful and well kept. Good supplies in bath and kitchen. Clean and well functioning appliances. Great beds!
Beautiful spot on bay with night fishing and a very good and well maintained dock and lights.
We went to Baffin to fish and stayed for 3 nights. The house is outstanding. It is comfortable, well equipped and at a terrific location if you want to fish. The host (Chris) went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The location is really convenient for the ramps at the park. It is on the water with a well equipped pier. I highly recommend this property and will be renting again in the near future...thanks Chris!!
There were several things that surprised us about the property. Just to get it out of the way, we didn't find WiFi, which wouldn't have been too bad if we had cell service inside the house...but it wasn't meant to be.
On the good side, the dock was in great shape. Fish cleaning station, lights, water, seating and fun for everyone.
This is one of the most well stocked VRBOs (or any other private rental) that I've ever been in. We were unable to unload our 6 plastic containers of supplies. There was nothing we needed. It was completely overstocked. A great surprise. The AC worked fantastic. The house was newly remodeled with vaulted ceilings, appliances, kitchen counters, bathroom/shower remodel, comfy beds and good relaxing furniture in the living room.
Bring extra clothes because there's no washing machine or dryer. If you have Verizon service, bring an AT&T hot spot for WiFi. There is a nice detached porta cochere in the back yard with Bluetooth speakers to play your music. There's a converted gas grill that burns charcoal. It's got good spacing and air flow to not burn anything you cook...bonus!
The satellite TV has plenty of movies, shows and music for everyone. The stove is electric, so that might have been a deal breaker except for the nice pots and pans in the cabinets. I loved the copper top and really nice cooking tools, measuring cups, colanders, china, heavy cutlery, great knives, and more!
We ended up catching some black drum, croaker and catfish.
We didn't find the specs off the dock, even though we used all forms of plastics and live shrimp. There was plenty of lawn for chairs and corn hole toss. There's an old picnic table to relax under the shade, with plenty of twisty trees to give the property some panache. Everything worked and you can tell that the property was cared for daily, monthly, annually and yearly. It had the flavor of old family vacations and fun times from decades gone by. We really enjoyed the place, and we've stayed in five star rentals in the Caribbean.
In short (ha ha) we recommend this property.

Thank you David! We would be happy to have you stay again.
First let me say that the pictures and description cannot capture how perfect this place is. It is an absolutely beautiful home. It feels like your own. There is everything you could ever want or need. Chris the owner was always in contact with is to make sure we were doing well and knew how to access everything. He even gave us some spots to try fishing if we brought our boat down. The pier is great and we caught over 30 blue crab and 2 stone crab. Over 30 specksa couple of reds and black drum. With the new size restriction we only got to keep a few. My seven year old son enjoyed hopping off the retaining wall and seating for different shells. But we went with the intention of making memories and we did.
Our family bought this property in 2013 with my parents (mom passed in 2021) as a place for us to stay when our family would venture south from San Antonio. My retired parents would routinely stay at the house during the week as a place to get away from nearby Corpus Christi.
Why they chose this property
It is truly a homestead most of the time. It is fully furnished, very comfortable and feels like home.
What makes this property unique
On the water, lighted private pier, softened and carbon/ sediment filtered water (municipal, not well.) Gazebo with Bluetooth wireless speaker system. Two charcoal grills. Great place to chillax.
Premier Host
They consistently provide great experiences for their guests
