About this property
Typical fisherman house by the sea Sicily
Just thirty meters from the sea, once a fishermen’s home and now fully renovated, Casa del Pescatore welcomes its guests with the charm of tradition and the comfort of modernity. Located on a quiet street parallel to Sampieri’s seafront, this ground-floor house offers an intimate and cozy atmosphere, ideal for those who wish to experience the authentic magic of Sicily.
The spacious paved courtyard, shaded by a lush bougainvillea, invites guests to relax outdoors, with dinners under the stars and peaceful Mediterranean afternoons. Inside, the living area with kitchen, the double bedroom, and two bathrooms provide comfortable and well-organized spaces, perfect for up to five people.
Every detail is designed to make the stay pleasant: Wi-Fi, air conditioning, washing machine, fully equipped kitchen, linens, and beach accessories. Families will find cribs, toys, and dedicated equipment that turn the holiday into a serene and carefree experience.
What makes the house truly special are the decorations created by the owner, Fernanda, an artist and craftswoman: unique and personal touches that tell stories of the sea and tradition, giving the apartment an authentic and unrepeatable soul.
The landscape surrounding Casa del Pescatore is captivating: a pine forest, typical Mediterranean vegetation, a dramatic cliff, and a long beach of fine sand enriched with rare dunes, dominated by the ancient Pisciotto furnace, famous as the set of the TV series “Inspector Montalbano.”
The location is ideal: just steps away are shops, bars, restaurants, supermarket, newsstand, hairdresser, nightclub, beach clubs, wellness center, sports facilities, and the small harbor where you can buy the freshest fish. Marina di Ragusa, with its brand-new tourist port and lively nightlife, is also nearby.
Casa del Pescatore is also a privileged starting point to discover the Baroque Valley and UNESCO World Heritage cities such as Modica, Ragusa, Ispica, and Noto. From here, excursions can be organized to Syracuse, Palazzolo Acreide, Caltagirone, Taormina, Agrigento, and Piazza Armerina, or into nature at the Ispica Caves and the Irminio and Vendicari reserves. For adventurers, there is Mount Etna to climb and, from the nearby port of Pozzallo, the possibility of reaching Malta by catamaran. Guided tours in the Val di Noto are also available with licensed guides.
