About this property
Beautiful 5 cabin facility perfect for large groups!
Preston Ranch Cabins is nestled in the heart of the historic Preston Ranches, surrounded by thousands of acres of private land and national forest. Our five rustic yet cozy cabins each feature their own bathrooms, and 4 of them come with either a full kitchen or kitchenette. The facility also offers a pavilion with an outdoor kitchen and two full bathrooms, perfect for campers or day guests. Additional amenities include a bonfire pit, kids’ play area, and a horse corral, all set alongside a serene stream teeming with local wildlife. It’s the perfect place to escape the fast pace of modern life while still being within an easy drive of Jackson Hole and Yellowstone National Park. Our cabins are accessible during the summer months, typically from June to October, but if weather allows, we may open earlier or stay open later.
Our facility is ideal for family reunions, weddings, and large gatherings. With the capacity to comfortably sleep up to 20 people, plus an additional loft space for a few kids with sleeping bags, it’s perfect for your group.
The quoted price applies to all five cabins, which are rented together—individual cabin rentals are not available.
We’re thrilled to host events and are honored when people choose our cabins to celebrate with their loved ones. We welcome all types of gatherings! For groups of 20 or more, a refundable event deposit is required—$500, $750, or $1,000, depending on the size of your event. Our Large Event Calculation Sheet must be completed at checkout in order to receive your refund.
We charge $3 per person for additional day guests, and we charge an additional $7 a person per night booked for people camping, whether it be in tents/hammocks/campers/RV’s/pop-ups etc.
We provide propane for cooking in the pavilion, but if you would prefer to be equipped with more than the base amount, some local guests like to provide their own propane. If you'd like to purchase it from us, we charge $30 per propane tank.
Firewood: Bring your own for a cozy bonfire or grab some from Maverik Adventures in Thayne – your perfect fuel for a night under the stars!
In an effort to promote recycling, we have provided a recycling station for sorting trash. We provide free removal of all aluminum, compost, and paper waste as long as it's kept sorted and separate. As for general waste, we collect one bag for every two days, additional bags of general waste will be $5 each in order to incentivize recycling.
For those bringing horses, we have a permanent corral near the cabins and stream, where horses can stay for $5 per horse per night (2-night minimum). Guests are responsible for providing their horses with certified weed-free hay and water.

About the host
Hosted by Bonnie Preston

We are a cattle and hay ranch that has been family owned and operated for 5 generations. We are passionate about taking care of the earth and making the beauty of nature accessible to those around us to enjoy. As such we have made 1000 of our 1700 acres walk in accessible for fishing hunting and hiking. We have however kept the area around the cabins private for our guests to enjoy in complete privacy as their own natural oasis.
Why they chose this property
While Wyoming is widely known as a haven for all things wilderness, it is increasingly difficult to actually get away from it all. Even the most secluded camping sites are likely to have the occasional passerby. Because the cabins are located among an expanse of private property, our guests are ensured a level of seclusion and privacy that is increasingly difficult to come by in this day and age, enabling them to connect with nature and one another in a more profound way.
