Loved our stay
Great location; easy walking distance to the Santa Fe Plaza, Palace of the Governors, Restaurants and Shops. Everyone said the beds were very comfortable, even the sleeper sofa. The Inn was beautifully decorated & comfortable (except for the outside furniture that was very worn, especially the pillows.) The lighted make-up mirrors in all the bathrooms were a nice feature. The host, Lanie, was very responsive to all my questions before arrival and quickly addressed a few minor issues after we arrived. Some items to note – these are not negatives, but we would have like to know ahead of time: • The only couch was in a room that was used for sleeping by one of our 5 couples. Even when the couch wasn’t in bed form, there was still only sitting area for 3 or 4 people. So the primary gathering area for our group of 10 was around the large kitchen table. • There was no TV in the kitchen area, so our sports loving family was not able to watch their sporting events together. • The kitchen was a galley kitchen; excellent set-up for one cook but challenge with 5 couples. • The expresso machine described on the website, was not there.

This is a beautiful property that used to be an upscale, boutique inn. It is really well laid out with every bedroom having its own bathroom. Randall and Laine were great hosts and were very responsive to our requests. We would definitely book it again. The location is excellent.

Great location and great stay overall
Perfect location close to everything you want to do in Santa Fe. We were a party of friends so each had our own room with en-suite bathroom, plus a common room and kitchen for coffee in the morning or drinks in the evening. Pictures don’t capture how charming the spaces are. Very pleased overall and would definitely stay here again.

Balloon Fiesta Family Gathering
We rented three properties for 22 family members. The Antigua Inn is a very special place. It has been so artistically decorated and appointed. We loved the property indoors and outdoors. The only difficulty is finding the place as it is down a gravel alley-like road, around corners and worth the reward once you get there. It would have been helpful to have more detailed instruction from the manager on how to approach the location. It is an absolutely fantastic location as it is withing walking distance of everything there is to see and do in central Santa Fe. You get the real Santa Fe experience in this property.

Excellent Property and Location!
The Antigua Inn is a spectacular property. The interior is fantastically decorated, very comfortable, and has everything you need. The location is great! A short walk to the Plaza, Canyon Road, great shopping and restaurants. We were three couples and a single friend. Each couple and the single had a room. The Rose Room isn’t functional as an adult room but is great as a hangout room. I can’t recommend this property more! Do not hesitate to book the Antigua Inn.

Perfect for a family trip to Santa Fe
The description doesn't even do this house justice. There are four wonderful bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and outside entrance/patio. King bedroom upstairs with a full bath (tub/shower) and walk-in closet. Three amazing bedrooms downstairs, each with bathrooms (showers) and small closets. The Pueblo room appears to be ADA compliant with a ramp and wide doors (no roll-in shower). The fifth bedroom has a fold-out couch (and bathroom). We used this as a sitting room/TV room, as the only other public space is kitchen/dining room and several outdoor patios. The hand-carved furniture in the theme of each room is gorgeous. The kitchen is wonderful, very well equipped, but it is a small one-person kitchen. The house was built in 1906 but it has been very, very, nicely updated, while still honoring the history and Santa Fe ambiance (even windows into the walls where you can view the original adobe). Everything inside was clean and modern. It is within walking distance of the square and so many restaurants, shops, galleries. It was perfect for our family get-away (grandmother and two teen-aged boys). It would also be great for several couples. We will definitely come back!! Vacasa/VRBO did not send me the access code. The owner was very quick to respond and let us in. He was also very patient with my husband to walk him through making the TVs work. We had everything we needed. What a wonderful vacation in Santa Fe!! Thanks!!

Christmas visit
We had a great time and no stone was left unturned. EVERYTHING we needed and more. Thank you for a wonderful place to congregate and call home for Christmas. The house was perfectly appointed with poinsettas and made us feel the season! The only comment I would make is we obviously tripped a circuit either in the kitchen or the room behind because the refrigerator and the power strip where the toaster was pluggen in went off. We could not locate the fuse box or the GFCI that might have solved the problem. Luckily this happened the morning of our departure, but you might leave instructions should that happen to someone else! Thank you so much for a wonderful "HOME" to enjoy!

Beautiful, convenient, private, amazing
I absolutely loved our stay at the Inn. Everything was so welcoming and gorgeous, each room it’s own little getaway! The only indoor common area is the kitchen but we loved that as it’s so warm and inviting. If I come back to Santa Fe, this is where I will stay without a doubt

Charming, well located home
Lovely home with a lot of charm. Wonderful location. Kitchen is extremely small, so don't plan on doing much in the way of cooking. The breakfast table is wonderful for meals or playing games, but the only living area is quite small ( one sofa, one chair and one coffee table with almost no additional space to sit in). The upstairs bedroom is large and very comfortable. Two of the smaller downstairs bedrooms need to have the doors left open to regulate temperatures. The home comes equipped with every type of coffee maker known to man...even an espresso machine. If weather permits, the outside kiva fireplace and seating area will add additional hang out space. There is a stackable washer/dryer, however the dryer does not heat up enough to dry.

History of the Inn
Santa Fe is one of the most historic and intriguing cities in the world and Antigua Inn is no exception. Located in Santa Fe’s historic eastside, the adobe building dates back to 1906 when it was built as a private residence. Each adobe brick was hand-made and set in the Santa Fe sun to dry. The original vigas (wood beams) are indigenous to the area and support the ceilings. The hardwood floors are imported from the Northeastern United States and have been restored to their original beauty. The site of the Inn is the original corn fields of Santa Fe and provided many years of fertile crops to Native Americans, early Spanish settlers and American Army troops through the 19th century. The Inn was a private residence for nearly 90 years until it became a bed and breakfast in 1995.

Antigua Inn was conceived in January 2010 when local entrepreneur, Randall Taishoff discovered the hundred-year-old adobe building in disrepair and in need of attention. Despite the Inn’s condition at the time, Taishoff, a jewelry designer and goldsmith by trade, saw great potential in the historic adobe building and began renovations immediately. The first vision came to fruition in the awe-inspiring Venetian plaster walls – the interiors are aglow with this painstaking labor of art – a different color in each room. Impressive, hand-carved furniture designed and crafted by an array of local and international artisans is abound throughout the interiors and landscaped courtyards. A magnificent copper and tin mural was crafted to celebrate the region\’s rich culture and appreciation for the land. Leading guests to the Vineyard Room on the second floor of the Inn is a remarkable hand rail fashioned to look like a delicate, twining grapevine. Radiant stained glass motifs highlight the theme of each room adding warm and inviting light to the Inn.

Why they chose this property

This property is a short stroll to Santa Fe's Historic Downtown Plaza: Museums, shops, theaters, Artist and Farmer's Markets.

What makes this property unique

We personally enjoy this property for it's proximity to the fine dining, entertainment, and galleries on Canyon Road plus all that the Plaza has to offer. All with in walking distance, this historic property in downtown Santa Fe is a great gathering place for Family and Friends!
